I bought a 2017 caddy maxi van that was lowered by previous owner anyway to make a long story short the back shoxs were changed out for new ones not it has this banging noise coming from the back left side. The Noise is like a knocking sound and appear to be Coming just up toward the passenger side of the back left wheel well, I've had lots of guys look at it and they can't find anything wrong it's a very annoying noise that wasn't there until a mechanic changed the back shox pls any advice of help would be great
Do you need to replace anything else using lowering springs like different shocks or shorter links? Or is everything else kept stock! Thanks for the video helped heaps with the lowering blocks!
Very Goodluck video, couple of question: when using lowering the back using the flipkit, is the original shock absorber still Good or does it also needs to be changed? When lowering the front with springs, ive read that its not optimal because the shock absorber want use its full travel?
You can still use original rear shock mate, need to trim bump stops. Always better to replace rear shocks though as they are relatively cheap and usually come with a kit anyway
Good day, receive a greeting from me. I would like to ask you if you can sell me the adapters for the caddy and be able to download it. I am in Mexico. Thank you
You lowered mine before Christmas and I've since notice that when you look from the back, one wheel sticks out further from the arch than the other. Is this normal?
Yes mate, they all do it. It’s on leaf springs (floating axle) so you’ll also notice the wheels look like they wobble in your mirrors. Perfectly normal on these
I think I might be dumb here, but I gotta ask the question. is the FWD lowering kits the same for the 4WD / 4 MOTION Caddys? I have been casually looking for weeks after a lowering kit for my 4 MOTION 2017 MK4 Caddy 😧
Cobra is the only kit for the caddy pal, I've used the ones you mentioned both failed within a year, Cobra coil kit for strength and comfort and price!
What springs is this van on 60mm or 45mm?
Hello, what is the total cost of lowering such a caddy?
Thanks this was great information, exactly what i needed !
I what cases and what models should a centralisation plate be used

@wolfsburgvans7347 how can I make contact any advice on the above would be great
You answered your own question, nothing wrong until the shocks was changed so the problem is the shock.

Nothing else required 👍🏽
hi do you change your drop links on the front with the 60 mm springs
How much is this set up now?
Cracking video guys. what drop do you recommend for 16" wheels and what would be the max wheel size would be best ?
👍
500 quid with fitting is bloody brilliant tbh... Might have to give you boys a phone.
Will these springs fit on a caddy maxi ecofuel?
We can do any Caddy. 👍🏽
@@WOLFSBURGVANS But also on Caddy Ecofuel (CNG)? I sent mail to H&R and they said "not possible on GPL and CNG". Looks same with Eibach springs :(
Grate question, i've got an Ecofuel
fitted on my caddy 2012 Ecofuel
Does it still take the same load on the back or does it decrease the payload wen
It decreases payload

You can’t lower the 4 motion buddy. Only the new mk5 4motion can be lowered safely. The diff catches otherwise on the mk3/4
@@WOLFSBURGVANS ooh ok, Yeah that explains why I haven't found any 😅, Thanks for the reply and letting me know!
I put the centre plates on mine it’s rubs really bad on the back?
How wide are your wheels, whats the ET of the wheel, what tire size are you running.
Take them off! Centralising plates can sometimes set the wheel too far back. Better to have the wheel slightly forward than rub
Would you recommend upgrading shocks?
No need 👍🏽

Mate, I’ve been lowering Caddy’s for 10 years. I’ve done thousands.
Where are you?
Great info, thanks, subscribed :)
Dumb question. How does it affect mpg?
