    After having the ktuner screen for awhile would you of just saved the money and got a v1? Does the screen on the windshield ever annoy you? I seen how guys use their phones and an app in the cubby area? I like the cleaner look of no window mounts. I found a v2 tuner($500.) used.. Just not sure if I want the touch screen version...,After watching a few video's of guys at the track and their times with a stage 2. seen very minimal time increases. Still scratching my head thinking about it. Any updates on yours? You still happy?

    love your video man!!!! I will be ordering one of those soon. quick question do i get rid of the pedal commander or just tell the guy to adjust the sensitivity of the throttle so i can used them both what do u think and what would u do if ur in my position since i already got the pedal commander?

    • @Fahrenheit_Motorsports
      @Fahrenheit_Motorsports  4 роки тому +1

      The Ktuner has that feature built in. It’s called throttle responsiveness, in addition you can up your turbo responsiveness and turbo spool.
      I would just sell the pedal commander, all it’s doing is messing with the potentiometer in the pedal making it seem like it added power. When in reality it’s giving you full power with less pedal throw. It’s a neat little trick but the Ktuner is actually adjusting the mapping and fuel for the turbo in addition to giving you pedal, turbo and spool control.

  • @alexross5620
    @alexross5620 5 років тому +5

    You can run it on normal but they suggest you run it at least on 91 thing at the True Performance 93 is optimal they can make it so when you put it in sport mode. You're high octane mode but you don't get the true benefits of high-octane if you're mixing 87 and 93

    Have you had any knock issues with the Ktuner? I just got the Hondata Flashpro CARB +3 version, the app shows a lot of knock on 93 octane. I’m trying to figure out if it’s normal to have some knock as long as it retards the timing to compensate. I reflashed it to stock, zero knock. Thoughts?

    • @Fahrenheit_Motorsports
      @Fahrenheit_Motorsports  5 років тому +1

      D O - I’ll check data logs this weekend and get back to you. As long as the tune is compensating your fine. I know it’s a scary thought but that’s exactly how this goes when you up boost and add high octane fuel. I’m interested to see how much knock you were getting? Wonder if it has to do with it being carb version?

    • @cadreamin45
      @cadreamin45 5 років тому

      Mr Fahrenheit I got about 14 knocks total between all cylinders during a hot run. Knock retards 6 degrees for that instance. I still get a few knock counts on regular drives too. Follow 2Lturbolag on IG for screenshots of my data logs.

  • @PratikParija
    @PratikParija 5 років тому

    Awesome two parts. Been looking into KTuner & been thinking about getting it. But one thing I want to know is what fuel are you running it on? I have seen on KTuner's website that they recommend 91+ but it will run on the regular 87 right?

    • @Fahrenheit_Motorsports
      @Fahrenheit_Motorsports  5 років тому +1

      I’d highly recommend running it on 91. It will run on 87 but you’ll experience engine knock which reduces power (reason we got ktuner) and could also damage the engine. Better to be safe then sorry, run 91 or 93 if you have it locally for the few extra bucks. You’ll thank yourself for the extra power and peace of mind. 🤙🏽
      I’m going to do another video of the ktuner install of the V1.2 for users who don’t want the V2 unit.

    • @Fahrenheit_Motorsports
      @Fahrenheit_Motorsports  5 років тому

      Danielle Rawlings - KTuner recommends 91 octane for maximum fun. However you can run 87 if you’d like. My first tank was 87 and it ran with no issues. They tune supplements lower octane by adjusting timing as needed. Both safe, no issues or errors...all fun 😁 Seriously, buy it. This should be mod number 1.

I’d get those before the intercooler, but I’d get the KTuner before anything else. You can have someone tune as you add parts, but out of the box the KTuner will provide the most HP for the money.

    What is the difference between KTuner and Hondata? Such as Pro's and Con's?

    • @Fahrenheit_Motorsports
      @Fahrenheit_Motorsports  5 років тому +1

      Chaaaos I - Honestly they both do the same thing. It’s tuner vs tuner. Both provide a device to deploy there custom tune into your vehicle. Both make claims on HP and Tq, both work extremely well. I chose KTuner because it had a slightly higher HP and Tq rating, the have a 3 power options available with a simple click of a button and lastly they provide you with a touchscreen tuner that displays real time data. All of this is cheaper then Hondata.
      You’ll have people from both sides making wild claims about each other but personally I’m very happy with the results and I’m sure the Hondata guys are as well. This car comes alive with the stage 2 tune.
      Only cons I have so far is this tune does mess with your chances of losing the manufactures warranty. But modifying any new car certainly increases those chances.

      Fahrenheit Motorsports is that true? I am pretty sure Honda can detect the tune history on the new models. • @Fahrenheit_Motorsports
      @Fahrenheit_Motorsports  4 роки тому +1

      In the Honda forums we’ve had a number of Honda Techs say they don’t have the equipment in house to determine flash history. It something catastrophic happened and Honda Corp requested the ECU they might be able to see something but from the customer facing dealer they don’t have the equipment to determine that. As long as you don’t leave the unit plugged into the obd2 port where they can immediately tell and note the file you’ll be able to run any tune and still have the car maintained by the dealer without fear of being found out.
      A large number of “tuned” people have reported back including myself that having your car in for service/warranty is fine, none of us have been found out or had any issues getting repair/warranty work performed while our cars are flashed. However, if you take your car into the dealer with it being heavily modified and they can see these modifications then it’s like they might give you a hard time when trying to claim warranty work. Example being, going in for engine or transmission trouble when you have an intake, down pipe, exhaust, etc. On a positive note, I haven’t any major issues on a large scale from cars with mods. You of course have your one off issues but the car is holding up well and the numbers say we have a solid car. 👍🏽

Perfect for old drummer moving gear and doing it w easy $.

      Tony Tanti - Yeah 21’s would fit the best without modification to the suspension. Almost perfect wheel well fit. My suspension is perfect, no issues what so ever. I’m going to post a video later today with my new setup. I talk about full specs so you can find something to match up.

      I actually average 28 now with the tune. If I’m thrashing it around 22. On really long hwy trips I’m easily in the 30’s. It’s pretty awesome what this little car can do.
