Sincerely I am sorry for your son. But the drugs are never stopped and they never will be. There are always drugs available for those seeking them out. The more effective and compassionate thing to do would be to bring them above ground, tax them, and use the revenue for addiction treatment programs and such. No matter how much anyone wants drugs to disappear, it's just not going to happen and the way to help people is to take a practical approach rather than an emotional one that has cost the world dizzying sums, built up a ton of invasive and hostile policing, and filled prisons. Nothing good comes from the way most countries have approached drugs for the last century.
What cracks me up is the dogs find millions of pounds/dollars/euros in illicit drugs, and in return, their reward is to get to chase their tennis balls.
It's almost very common and accepted between them to always carry drugs, or to gamble and cheat, the longer they work there the more they turn to criminals
Having a pet hate of touching other people’s pants or shoes or whatever, yet not wearing gloves. That surprises me! Don’t you guys know anything about hygiene?Occupational hazard - protect yourselves!!!
Yet drugs will flow into the country anyway. If you cant stop drugs to reach inmates in jail its impossible to stop it to reach ur country! Waste of money
i mean they have to make it interesting to keep up in that job. its normal for people to think that way honestly, as long as they dont sabotage im fine w that XD
33:01 I was about to make the same comment. If their job is to uphold the law, they should be happy when the law is not broken. I know these aren't cops but the whole attitude of looking for ways to "bust" people makes the worst police, they see the public as the enemy instead of as their community that they're there to protect. I should think the ideal outcome for these officers is that after diligent investigation, everyone who is qualified and not breaking the law gets sent on their way happily. Thankfully it at least comes off that most of them are fair and professional.
I watched an episode where they detained an innocent traveler and freaked her out because they didn't clean off their tools and they were contaminated from the last passenger :/ Not cool at all
I used to work with quarantine and customs at the Australian international airport and ive seen coordinating authorities from around the world bust everything and everyone. People are stupid how do they think they will pass dog detection xrays and profiling . What ever your into go on a holiday go to a country thats its legal then just come home dont think your going to pass a dogs nose an xray machine and trained profiling officers that can pick up a little seed to a pinch of sand in a well or fully packed suitcase to a gram of anything in a shipping container and officers that are looking for any indication of weird behavior
they are though, maybe they dont show it here. Been on a plane plenty times, they do it before and after especially when you are actually going out of the airport. Depends on the place maybe too, but thats what I had
Because it's final destination that matters, connecting flights would make that too challenging to manage...plus no country is going to trust someone else's "check"
@@ckee8437 ye if u go on another plane from a plane its pretty quick (sometimes u have like 10-15 minutes to board from another flight (and find the gate)) 💀
The staff I see in this are so much better than the ones my family were victims of in Australia and the US (long story short my father was a military officer and his work bags get exposed to residue that goes into explosives at his workplace. Completely understandable to look into it further when that gets detected, but how we were treated was abysmal. Harassment, lies and outright incompetence. It's an important job, so I really respect when I see them doing the job right.)
I really love the Pakistani pilot. He has the loveliest manner, and it's so endearing how interested he gets. I'd be very happy if he were my pilot. I would trust him
I love how the english sturdy keeps talking english and then talk really slow, like they talk to a child. Like if the dude understands it then if he doesnt speak no english at all🤣🤣

WHY do these people not wear gloves when searching ANYTHING? that's DISGUSTING! Especially when they say it's the revolting thing of their job... makes no logical sense at all!
Yeah, they're not keeping and observing smugglers for their own safety. If that were their top concern, they be doing the observation in a hospital. Their top priority is to get the drugs. Their second priority is the well-being of the smugglers.
I remember seeing customs staff in the US inspecting a guy's luggage. He had a furby stuffed full with wooden toothpicks. Clearly, something was hiding in there. I wish I knew what
wow UK is linient, they dont check every bag like NZ & Australia. Passenegers could be lying. She could very well have another bag of beef patties & other meat products anywhere in her luggage which is a lot. I think she may have gotten away with a lot. Oh well
Thank you all soo much for stopping drugs..my son was an addict 12yrs ago..its horrific.❤

The officers and dogs are Awesome.Thank You for the work u do to keep citizens safe!!
I love the dogs ! Well trained and spot on. I love how excited they get when they find something, because they get a reward
No amount of money would tempt me to swallow packages of anything-except candy!
I know that would scare me to death
I have trouble just swallowing pills. There's no way I could swallow a dr*g package.
They must get scared carrying all those drugs inside them. I can’t even comprehend the courage or stupidity to swallow one, knowing it could rupture.
@@annehersey9895 true it's risky
What a gorgeous eager dog! I love the way he wags his tail frenetically.
Yeah! They are BEAUTIFUL!!!
Officer Liz has the observation and follow-up grilling down to an art ...very smooth and very spot-on. Go get'm Officer Liz!!!!!
Hard working crew and dogs.
I came here to comment on the lack of protective glove usage, but I see my presence is not needed 😄😄
😮
Hahaha the glove Police are here in force 😂🤣

Yes, but they're very happy about that!!!
Dogs are so damned wholesome ❤ we are so lucky to be living alongside them!
I love that term custody suite! 😂
Me too! Sounds classy!
😂😂and there’s no upgrade 😂
It's demure 😂
I hope Lucy has Air con & water in that van! She is a good hard worker n dog, I’m glad she gets a reward! Good job 👏 Lucy! ❤
I thought the same ! I hope she's not left in that horrible cage in the van all day! Give her a bed at least!
Springers ! Love them !
Those doggies are always so happy 🎉❤🎉❤
Lucy is sooooo adorable 🥰
Officer Liz is so badass. Gotta love her! 😊
If u have worked for an airline for over 33 years u should know that u can't bring that many ciggs in
It's smth u learn when u join, but the way transportation workers live is very off the grid

They got fork handles 😂😂
“Four candles…”
“Candles for forks…”
With thanks to the 2 Ronnies - and the Cockney accent is very appropriate.
As soon as I heard 4 candles I cracked up laughing. Aussie here, but British comedy wins hands. I grew up on British humour 😂👍
Lucy is a star !

The glove issue was one of my first thoughts 😅
The Dog Should be Arrested for Sniffing Drugs while on Duty.
I've watched a few of these and love that sniffer dog Lucy! It looks and reminds me of our dog as my kids were growing up. 👍
We need more sniffer dogs at every country’s access point. They’re so accurate and save so much time. Plus they’re adorable 😊.

I traveled to New Zealand as a child. And i remember being so scared of the dogs. I guess as a child they look scarier than they are....
The fact that they are disappointed that they don’t find drugs on innocent people is a little disturbing

Should the boats be checked as well boarder force?
The sniffer dogs are worth one million times their weight in gold when it comes to nailing drugs hidden in a parcel or item. Amazing!
