This is actually an genious device, since it converts specefic sound waves/bass to vibrations, this way you don’t need to have games with builtin vibration motor, now pff course those games were never made with vibration in mind, but it is possible to make games with vibration in mind, by generating strong bass sounds once you got hit by enemy’s and once you hit a block and grab an object, so the potential is there.
I still want to build a Rez Trance Vibrator for Dreamcast, because that never came out. The obvious name, TranceDucer, was of course already trademarked by somebody else, which is why you're left with this one.
When you reacted when it first kicked on, that made me think of the IT Crowd episode where Moss cranked up the vibration on Roy's cell and he thought he was having a heart attack when it went off in the staff assembly.
I still have the big vest version of this, the haptic aura interactor from the same company. I attached the thing to a much higher power amp than the one that came with it and it really gives you a thump on certain bass frequencies. Its got a bloody huge transducer in it. Looks like interact put out quite a few haptic devices over the years.
There was apparently more of these too, and not sure why this was a thing, but I had a rechargeable extended batterypack, external "better speaker" and this same type of rumble feature in one. I had one for a Gameboy Color because my GBC got botched by a wrong polarity external Power brick and from that point onward batteries did not work with the device so I needed a battery pack that made it work from the DC jack, which the "batter pack" in question did.
I'm surprised it is specifically for the pocket, since that was so late in the handheld's life. I wonder how many were made? Too many, based on your review! XD
It reminds me of something similar to that, my older brother got me one christmas for my gameboy color, shock n rock I think it's called, I still have it around but I would have to dig around to find it. It made my gbc so bulky and I left the vibration feature turned off. What was nice about that thing though, was it had a rechargeable battery inside of it, and it came with a charger you can even plug directly into the gbc and play off the wall outlet, instead of having to keep going through more AAs when you're just playing at home!
I found it, and amazingly, the rechargeable batteries inside of it still work, and still has a charge! Gonna play some of my pokemon gold! It's a shame I lost my childhood save do to battery in the game cart dying! Also, it's a shame that I have to shake my gameboy color a couple times to get the sound to work, these days! Edit: It also plays stereo sound, so you can listen to your pokemon yellow and gold/silver music in stereo with it too! Edit2: I uploaded a very short video just to show the silly thing
Only you could get a working pocket for €10! Is the sound any different being played through the device? I hope you fully enjoyed the sensation of the vibration (although it doesn't sound like you did lol)
Oh my goodness, you got a copy of Solomon's Club! Just seeing the cartridge art for that gave me huge nostalgia hit, I played that so much as a child. Great little game.
Soloman's Key is a SICK game. Also, if you use an aux extender, it'd probably work on stuff like the GBA or even switch. And there was a gameboy accessory, which I think was cancelled, but it worked the same as this, but instead of a motor, it would sedate people for surgery. 👀
I had this thing for GBC. I don't know why. I don't remember how it felt during gameplay, but one thing that sticks in my mind is the vibration when on the 'world map' in Super Mario Bros DX. The game had a pulsing tone on the world map and this vibrated on the tone. Completely pointless even for 8-year-old me
Sorry about posting to an old video, but I was just sent the companion piece to this as a part of an auction I won.To make the gameboy color even more unpleasant, it had fold-out speakers, a lit magnifying lens and put a joystick-like-thing over the d-pad. Like this photo I found on reddit i.redd.it/newzryvogokz.jpg . If you're in the least bit interested, I'll send it to your PO Box.
I remember there being plenty of useless Gameboy accessories. There were magnifying lenses that stuck out and only served to distort the screen. Lights that would have been okay except that they covered the screen in glare. Things that stuck on over the Gameboy's great control pad and transformed it into a wonky feeling joystick. FM radios that stuck into the link port and were just cheapo radios with their own headphone jack -- it just leeched power out of the link port.
bit of a clickbait title. the accessory doesn't seem bad at all. I haven't seen this idea before of adding rumble from the sound data, it seems clever. a better title would be "adding rumble to the gameboy colour" or "bizarre rumble accessory for gameboy colour"
I just have to point out that the company is called STD electronics. I don't really fancy experiencing the vibration sensation anymore
STDS WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD NAME THEIR COMPANY STDS avgn x)
I know right it just sounds wrong.
i was too slow :(
Wow thats sounds like Austin Powers
+Charly I was going to write that, but you beat me to it, which is fine.
Yeah baby ... is that a pulse pak and gameboy in your pocket or are you just happy to see me???
I see you here and on Ken versus channel
sjm4306 I’m not sure if you were going for an adult joke but I still laughed
A bit of both.
😂😂😂 "More sensitive than my step mum"
I was totally questioning if I heard it right 😂
I knew the second that I heard him say it that i would be the first comment lmao!
"Oh my lord is so sensitive!
More sensitive than my stepmom"
Ok.
Paprika stepmum
septimus signus
Hm... A vibrator trademarked by STD electronics.... (1:23)
*WHO NAMES THEIR COMPANY "STD"?!*
@@ItsNotakin The same company that made a gameboy vibrator called Pulse Pak
I thought you were blowing on the speakers, but then I realized it was the “vibrations” that sounded like that.
Strange right!
That took me a moment to realize myself.
Lol, I can't even find a faulty Gameboy Pocket in that condition for €10
West Senkovec keep looking, he looks every day I guess.
Seriously I would expect that one to go for at least 30
My friend just gave me one for free
i think i paid $10 for 2 of them but that was like 10 years ago wish i knew where they went

This reminds me of that PS2 accessory that caused contorversie.
what was it? the only ps2 accessory I know is the controller and memory card splitter
You mean that Rez Trance Vibrator?
Yes. That one. I couldn't remember the name of the game. All I know is that it's a dancing robot game.
I still want to build a Rez Trance Vibrator for Dreamcast, because that never came out.

Controversy*
When you reacted when it first kicked on, that made me think of the IT Crowd episode where Moss cranked up the vibration on Roy's cell and he thought he was having a heart attack when it went off in the staff assembly.
Haha oh yeah!
I still have the big vest version of this, the haptic aura interactor from the same company. How to waste even more batteries while playing Gameboy....
The only game I could think of that would make sense with it, would be Tetris.
I will try that!
Pokémon Pinball or other Pinball games lol
Fortress of Fear is part of the Wizards & Warriors series that started out on the nes and was worked on by Rare :D
‘More sensitive than my step mom’, I’m crying 😭😭😂😂

I’m crying 😆
Glad you enjoyed!
so was she
Just had memories of Perfect Dark for GBC with its built in rumble pak
Pokemon Pinball worked pretty well too.
"More sensitive than my step mum" lmao
If you are a teenage girl and you love to play Game Boy games, this might be the accesory for you.
I can assure you, it's definitely not
FBI OPEN UP
I'm surprised it is specifically for the pocket, since that was so late in the handheld's life. I wonder how many were made? Too many, based on your review! XD
Im surprised it exists!
I got one of those new from either Poundland or Poundworld 15ish years ago, along with a rechargeable battery pack and light/magnifier/speaker thing.
It reminds me of something similar to that, my older brother got me one christmas for my gameboy color, shock n rock I think it's called, I still have it around but I would have to dig around to find it. That sounds decent!

Not sure how the exchange rate goes, but I picked up a red one in decent shape for $8 at a Goodwill here in the US.
Whoa, I’m early today
omg its izzy nobre
omg its izzy nobre
Omg, it's the retro future
Porra Izzy, até aqui eu te vejo? XD
Hello there.
Oh my goodness, you got a copy of Solomon's Club! Just seeing the cartridge art for that gave me huge nostalgia hit, I played that so much as a child. Great little game.
is that dark souls for gameboy
Soloman's Key is a SICK game.
Also, if you use an aux extender, it'd probably work on stuff like the GBA or even switch.
And there was a gameboy accessory, which I think was cancelled, but it worked the same as this, but instead of a motor, it would sedate people for surgery. 👀
Kind of suprised that the Gameboy Booster abomination didn't include something like this in it.
Very strange device
They made one of these for consoles that you strapped to your chest and it basically just hurt you.
Adjustable Vibration Sensation is a great band name
Every time he says vibration I keep thinking of the song "good vibrations" by mark and the funky bunch somethings wrong with me lol
Oh you're in France ? You had a good taste of our OMELETTE DU FROMAGE HON HON OUI TRÈS BIEN
Solar Striker was the second GB cart I ever had. Bought it at Toys R Us in about 1991. It's still one of my favourites.
It is a great game. Really enjoying it.
buy the red gameboy light.... and make a video on it.... do it
Basically it was intended to be a rumble pak for its time but failed miserably
No apology needed. Thought this was a fun video
0:47 i have that game ripped in the same spot
Oh really? Thats a coincidence!
I’m going to try to fit mine inside a DMG with a smaller motor and weaker rumble.
Ohhhhhhhh the vibration sensation I’ve tried it before and i hated it so the next day I threw it away but kept the box for the meme
Man, that must have felt so awkward. I could tell how uncomfortable to play it is by looking at it.
I had this thing for GBC. I don't know why. I don't remember how it felt during gameplay, but one thing that sticks in my mind is the vibration when on the 'world map' in Super Mario Bros DX. Pointless to 8-year-old you, but I'm sure 13-year-old you would have found some interesting uses for it...
13-year-old me had an Xbox Controller and DOAX, he was pretty set.
Haha! I should say so!
Pokemon Pinball + Pulse Pak = ;)
How to turn your gameboy into a *VIBRATOR*
where do you buy it???? I will use it for phone speaker becouse my build in one died.
Wouldn't be cheaper a replacement speaker??
Sorry about posting to an old video, but I was just sent the companion piece to this as a part of an auction I won.To make the gameboy color even more unpleasant, it had fold-out speakers, a lit magnifying lens and put a joystick-like-thing over the d-pad. That is just crazy. No Gameboy or games? Just buy one like its nothing! Daaaaaaaamn like I'd probably have to import here
Fortress of fear was my game hours played on it !!
Awesome! Looks like a lot of fun.
Solar striker was the first game i owned for the gameboy in 1990.
I was wondering if anyone made a rumbling accessory for the gameboy.
It reminds me of the PS2 vibrator thing for that one game Rez. How weird
I don't think I've ever seen any peripheral with adjustable levels of vibration... And neither have YOU.
I've never seen that color gameboy before what color is it ?
Its just a regular green!
Unless you're playing a game with an option to turn the music off, and you're ok with that, this thing is utterly useless
Haha! Right!
I seen worse GameBoy Accessory than this like the GameBoy Accessory pack that make your game boy looks like a huge monster.
wizards and warriors fortress of fear i have that one
Cool!
if you want the tetris block sound in every game
The things sounds like a machine gun. XD
That was basically a portable version of "Wizards and Warriors"?
Never played that before!
Give this to your female friend before college starts
please test this rumble thingy on an iphone or some music player
I had this when I was a kid. When I was 9, it was pretty sweet.
Vibrators seem to be for travling because there are not many vibrators in computers bigger then a smartphone not even most tablet 🤔
Nintendo updated the Wii U, might as well update the playing cards too
I wanna give it a try!
So it didn't hit your G-pot huh....lol
The worst accessery for the gameboy
Was an oblong magnifying glass that
Attached to gameboy to magnify of course
Mmm.
I wanna see it on the longboy
Hi! Innuendo time wasting comment. Thanks!
Yo no negativity on your video yet, nice borther
I love solar striker. Its one of my favorite game boy games.
I like it too!
Wouldn't be so lame if they would have made it smaller.
I don't know man. My girlfriend told me she likes it alot.
I'd mod it. Another speaker and a better amp.
have that gameboy
You're like a Jacob Rees-Mogg junior.
Should mod it into something useful lol. Was probably targeting all the hype around rumble features back in 98
Maybe a mega speaker haha!
Fortress of Fear: DarkSouls, pocket ed.
I got it in same condition ;)
Well at least I now know I want that first game.
Its cool right!
Great deal on the Gameboy, nice work on that.
Thanks!
Let me knownhow pokemon works on it.
Game "Boy" you say?
Wizards and Warriors X! I have that game!
Sadly more in the line of 3rd party junk to make a quick buck.
5:04 😂
More sensitive than my stepmom

It is a thing
Nice video, ive never seen that thing before.
By the way, that sign you did in the end does not mean peace, it means victory, "V" for victory
That's no good! 😀
or AVS for short :P
Longboy
*_L O N G B O I_*
I don't want to be bad. But looks like it sucks xD
s e n s a t i o n

Not even stereo
I know right! Definitely enough room.
Hi
I had one of these for the gb color 🙈
Good vid keep it up
Awesome keep up
