Ted Egan's: Broome And The Pearl Coast

Situated on the north west of Western Australia the town of Broome is the pearling capital of Australia and early last century it was defiantly the pearling capital of the world.
It's a town like no other in Australia. A mix of gracious old colonial bungalows, as well as modern architecture.

This is the Broome that I was brought up in 1970 to 1990 and in out from time to time. it is my home. I come from that time. that's why we call it broom time. it's a place where you forget time and place.
