As someone who was foolish enough to buy a Pocket 3 I can confirm you are 100 percent correct in your criticisms. My biggest disappointment was the blown highlights, I'm using - 0.7EV and it still happens but then it also crushes the blacks, even in DLOG. The other really bad thing is that there's no "gimbal lock" that would let you pan or tilt really quickly if you want. Any attempt to pivot 90 degrees to catch something happening results in the gimbal compensating for the movement and even on "fast follow" it still takes far too long to catch up. The so-called "gimbal lock" does exactly the opposite of what it should do -- it causes the camera to stay pointed exactly where it was when you activate the lock. The fact that you have to take the wide-angle lens off before you shut the camera down is a real pain -- especially when walk-vlogging and you find yourself making a number of short segments separated by perhaps 5 or 10 minutes. And yes, the stock lens is too wide for walk-vlogging producing a narrow FOV that leaves no room for reframing in edit. The wireless mic also becomes a hassle when you're trying to pocket-carry the camera. You can clip it to the plastic carry shell -- but not with the magnet so if you're using the magnet to attach to a teeshirt you risk losing that magnet. The face-track refuses to work if I'm wearing sunglasses and a hat. Also if you get face-track working and set things up for rule-of-thirds then flip the camera around to look ahead, when you flip back to your face the damn thing places you back in the center again and forgets the offset you gave it just seconds before. And don't get me started on the whole DJI "activation" process 😕 Mine ended up in an update-loop that took me two hours to figure out how to break. Of all my cameras the Pocket 3 is now the least favourite. I much prefer vlogging with a regular action-cam, even my old SJCam is better than this.
@@smallbizdigitalmedia I don't have any ND filters and, given the other annoyances of this camera, probably won't spend extra money buying them. ND filters will suffer from the same problem as the wide-angle lens... ie: they'll stop the gimbal from locking in the "safe" position when you turn the camera off -- so that's just another thing to have to fiddle with each time you turn it on/off and you also can't stack filters so you can't use a wide-angle *and* an ND filter at the same time.
@@xjet I don't want to criticise you but the highlights would be blown in any decent camera. Unless you're using a phone or action camera, you need nd filters. About the gimbal: Well, this is how any gimbal work. Its not really much of a camera issue, but your choice. If you want something very responsive, use fpv mode. And if you took 2 hours to do a once in a lifetime thing that will require maximum 10 minutes of your life, well... Its too easy to get carried away with pessimism but the reality is the DJI Pocket 3 is a great camera for its size/price. Casey has a UA-cam channel and he posts videos almost daily, of course he will come here and criticize the camera, that's why everyone watches him. But take his word with a grain of salt. Consider the difference between the Pocket 3 and a full-frame camera on a Ronin gimbal. You made a good purchase unless you had unrealistic expectations.
At least you kinda admit that you're trying to talk youself out of buying one. These cons don't come close to outweighing the pros. The Pocket 3 is a massive leap forward from the 2. I prefer the 1 to the 2, but the 3 conquers both.
you can also set face tracking on the side and keep the rule of thirds, there is a special option for this and osmo pocket gives you this option. As for the gimbal's response, you can set it to sport mode and it also follows you very quickly.
I got one the day after it came out and took it on a trip to Hong Kong the day after for 8 days. I was so happy with it, the external battery was a life saver, I would use it to charge up the internal battery then when it had done that would plug it into a power bank in my pocket to top up. I was also surprised just how good the low light was, looking at the screen at night you could see more than reality. If anyone is interested I have a night tour walking around Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel on my channel if you are interested.
Vu Nguyen has, for me, the most interesting Pocket 3 videos because he shows how he will use it to complement it with the rest of his equipment, and it's pros and cons when using it
You can actually leave the filters on when you put it back in the case. If a filter is on then you turn the OP3 off, the lens turns towards the lcd and is designed to be pushed into the case without taking the filter off. It’s pretty great - try it!
I don’t know what OP3 setting that is but mine tries to stow normally, realizes it has a filter on and then flips around the other way and can be stowed.
Pocket 3 is the perfect to-go camera. Going on a hike? Tiny cam, no problem, 10 bit log, awesome, gimbal? perfect, being able to see yourself in selfie mode? what more could you want? Of course it isn't going to match footage coming from A7IV or A6000, but for it's size it's one of the best.
You raised a number of good points and not just the same video over and over again…almost all those folks are sponsored; they say they aren’t but then admit they get the camera for free. In fairness, they will tell you that if you ask. Markus had a good initial review, but he took it down as folks got upset. Cameralabs found a few minor things..but notably bought the camera for the test. As you noted, it’s not perfect, it’s not an action camera for serious outdoor stuff (so yes you have to be a bit careful with it) and it’s still a small sensor (about the size of your thumbnail…same as any one inch) but once you adjust the settings (like reducing sharpness) it seems like a great camera IMO if you want to be a vlogger. I also think it looks like a bit awkward to film with, but I blame that on being old. I say the same about folks using their phone…but I do it a lot!
glad you found the review Gordon and I made at Cameralabs channel helpful. Having owned the pocket 1,2 and 3 as well as Go Pros, insta360 cameras etc the pocket 3 is a big step up. It is tough to find any real flaws in the camera, it is very good. It would have been nice to have a Jack-plug in the side of the camera; but then it wouldn’t have fit inside the case with the mic plugged in. The mic is incredibly feature packed as well, DJI didn’t really say much about it but I have managed to connect it to my iPhone and 360 cameras. Freewell filters are out now and I have a set of Nd’s but as far as I am aware they don’t make a wide angle adaptor that also takes ND filters. Casey will love the pocket 3 when he gets one :-)
One thing comes out of all this: If you want an action cam, get an action cam. DJI is targeting different customers with osmo and that's a damn good thing. I would actually prefer an even longer lens something like 24-30mm with even blurrier background. But you can never please everyone. I think that DJI made a good compromise.
YES the mist is way too strong. Haven't seen anyone else mention this, it looks like the lens is covered in fingerprints. Image quality is defintiely solid though. In practice though you can put the camera away with the mist or the wide angle adapter on it. The camera will turn the gimbal to the front and you can put it face down in the case. Not ideal but it works and fits.
As with any camera, it's how you are going to use it. And no camera is perfect. I don't regret my purchase at all. It meets my needs and I can live the little deficiencies that I've found.
5:10 yes, the pocket 3 with a filter on fits in the case. The camera tries to fold up but goes loose then it fits in the case with filter on pointing down into the case.
😅😂 Great Camera Bro, absolutely no regrets. With these Freewell Filters 🥇💪🏽 I shoot Weddings for profit and after playing with the footage in 4K 101Bit D-Log, Side by Siding the Pocket 3 to my S5 II footage with not really noticeable small nuances. If you treat this like a toy your footage will reflect that. DJI is pretty far ahead with the tech in this thing.. 🔥 the Mic 2 alone with this Turn On Software Free Connect, 32-Bit Float & Timecode plus pocketable Mechanical Gimbal - Camera, Log, Tracking, Low Aperture, etc. for $670… come on 😅 It’s crazy the expectation we demand 🤣We will never be happy even with all the advance Technology in our generation. I remember not so long back, great 4K/60, Tracking, 32-Bit Wireless Audio was a Purple Unicorn less than 10 years ago and if it was, what would it have costed. 😅
BTW I have the DJI filters and they stack, excluding the Wide Angle but including the Black Mist. There are also 3rd party filters that are thin enough to store on the camera. Oh and about that, when you have the Wide Angle on the camera, it automatically flipped the lens around so that it stores on the bottom of the case for protection.IE, you can leave it on if you want.
Too late - I bought one day of release and I love the little fecker! It's just fun. The case is shit, no doubt. Leaving it half exposed is stupid. Mist filter will probably arrive Christmas next year. Other than that it's a fun little toy. It's not something I would ever got out of the bag at work, but for messing about it's worth it for me.
No camera is ever going to be perfect but to be fair you should compare it with what you have. In that sense, the Pocket 3 seems leaps and bounds better. On the Pocket 3, the background blur varies depending on how close you focus. If you hold it further away, the background gets sharper. The blown skies are very limited and its much better that your face and whatever is on the ground is properly exposed. Regarding the carry problem, just get a padded bag and put it away when you're not using it. Personally, I would really love to not have to see the Action 4 and Black Magic footage anymore because they don't work for vlogging in my opinion.
I tried to resist and your video made me wait but I just could not fight the GAS your I lost and now that I purchased it I have to say that I do like it. Perfect NO but It's convenience and overall quality is exceptional.
On the point of stabe, in fairness, you can lock the gimbal in place and have just digital stabe (if there is any?) or just no stabe at all. Does this mean it’s the perfect camera and your show is over? After you buy the new DJI perfect camera 3, please do a video for my pet squirrel discussing the importance of having fun creating content instead of worrying about having the most cinematic footage ever. PS thanks for being the only channel dedicated to giving us reasons not to jump on the bandwagon.
Put my original Osmo away for the summer - went to charge it - no dice - now out of warrenty. I will never buy another camera with a battery welded in - never again - never. Great post
Oh no!!!! When I saw the title I thought you’d actually bought one and I POUNCED on the thumbnail. You HAVE to get one and share your thoughts; this camera is totally your thing! I personally gave up waiting for your review (and yeah… I was actually waiting) and went ahead and ordered one. No regrets here; this is a quantum leap forward from the old ones. You have to get this!
@@unbroken1010I’ve got both the pocket1 and pocket 2, both are still working fine. If either were to fail I could still use a small batter bank to run them, or any aftermarket battery extension handle. These aren’t issues. I have no problem backing DJI stuff by the way; either their drones or cameras are first class and they consistently work. Can’t say that about everyone.
I had a job that needed a gimbal this last week and I’m getting to the point where I can’t stand caring the Crane M3 around… So I bought one. I was a bit reticent. My original Osmo Pocket’s battery died. But, it did the job. The footage is excellent for the most part but I do agree that the auto-exposure can be a pain. It needs ND filters, which is a drawback. Also, on the f-stop question. A lot of films actually shoot a lot of stuff at f4, so that’s a bit of a problem on the Osmo if you want to match footage. I am never going to use the mist filter (you can do that in post if needed) or wide-angle lens, but it’s small enough to be able to use a small tripod without distortion. But, it does have a lovely feature which I’ve not seen mentioned a lot. You can set the camera up to have the subject always appear somewhere in the golden ratio. Even if you change hands, the gimbal adjusts so your subject is in the same place. That’s something I missed on the original pocket, where everything was stubbornly in the centre of the screen. For me, the battery life was good enough that I don’t feel I need the accessories kit. It’s a pain not having a 3.5mm jack. You can get an adapter, but it’s a pain. All in all, I think it’s a better choice than a lot of other cameras and solves several problems, especially when weight is an issue, but it’s far from a perfect all-round kit. I’m still going to be shooting mostly on Sony.
I’m not a VLOGer but bought this anyway. Thought it would be great to film my kids, pets and other family stuff. Just couldn’t get used to it and was just too annoying. Really can’t find a really good reason not to simply whip out my IPhone 15 Pro Max. I know it is not quite as good, but much more convenient. And your point about the catchup the gimbal has to make when moving around and pointing at things just got too annoying. I know I could work to make things more cinematic, but it just seemed to need to much adjusting to make it work right. And I couldn’t quite get a good focus when there were more than one subject in the field of view. Sent it back with no regrets. Gonna used my IPhone Pro Max, and for photos try to finally figure out how to take good pictures on my Canon R8. Now my next decision is to figure out why I bought a Steam Deck, Rog Ally and Legion Go. What the hell am I going to do with the other two???
I have noticed that the battery handle will drain fast when it's just sitting on a shelf. I charge it to 100% and let it sit off for 3 days and it's only at 60-65% when you grab it and turn it on. Why is the "off" state draining so much power?
That’s not a bug, it’s a feature. DJI drone batteries do the same. When batteries determine themself to be unused for a few days, they drain to about 2/3s. This helps long term battery health so that the camera and batteries will be usable for years. Batteries are considered consumables.
I too fell into the trap of watching all the same videos about this camera. At first I wanted it so bad, but somethings that are stopping me now, after the honeymoon phase are: Price (it's not cheap, or maybe I am), Internal Battery, Registering with DJI (like give me a break), and your point on the bluetooth. To me, honestly, this feels like a $500 CAD thing, not $1000.
My first time to watch this channel. I can tell you this guy is really genius, so knowledgeable and technically so skilled-hand. Thanks for a lot of technical information and ideas.
hey man. i watch all your videos not because i am interested in these new cameras. but how funny you are - stay the same bro - dont let nothing change the way u are.
I think the EU has passed a regulation that requires all portable electronic devices to have a removable and replaceable battery. So hopefully by the time the Pocket 4 rolls around, much like Apple with USB-C, DJI will decide making two different SKUs for the same product (one with and one without replaceable batts) is pointless and will just make all of them replaceable.
Pocket 3 (or all pocket) with non replaceable batteries are the weirdest design ever (function wise). Those thing aren't even weather proof or any sort of proofing to justify built in battery.
All great points. Having used my Pocket 3 for a few weeks now I'm still really loving it. Freewell are doing a snow mist filter in their 14 filter creative pack of filters now (damn it, just seen you've linked to that!). Having also tried quite a few gimbals before of different types, I'd say that the pocket 3 one is just more natural / idiot proof than others - no idea why but it does seem to film what I point it at rather than lots of clips of the sky / floor all the time!!
if it doesn't point at the thing you want, you can just grab the camera part and aim it there manually. sure it's less convenient than a point and shoot, but it's fine. on the flipside, every single shot you'll ever make will be level with the horizon
When you turn off the OP3 with 1 filter on (Freewell brand); does not allow to close to original off position. Some people may not be bothered by this i’m certain. Other brands are thinner and allow to get back to off position with 1 filter on.
The internal battery flaw is the first thing I seen and broke the deal for me, I don’t care how good the video quality is, but I’m not paying that much for a camera that will be dead in a few years.
This reads like someone trying to talk themselves out of buying one 😂 It’s truly an awesome camera. I never take my ND filters off during the day, it folds up just fine when I turn the camera off with them on. The whole segment about attaching it to a clip on your chest is just.. who needs that? Who uses that? In the case of wanting FPV footage like that, you need a wider lens that an action cam can give you anyway. IMO, the Pocket is meant for more control behind the camera, for the outstanding low light capabilities, and the quality of the full 1 inch sensor.
Having only used it for a couple of week, I got to know that you can actually put the camera with wide angle lens in the case. Thats why it rotates 180 when the lens is sticking on it. The only problem is that the lens is not strongly snapping. I was on a bike and my friend slammed his ankle into the gimbal and the lens fell off the camera. Wont be using the lens in dynamic situations. Other than that everything is fine for a vacation and lifestyle vlogger.
Wide angle lens sucks anyway (got my DJI Pocket 3 yesterday :D), so point erased :D. And Pocket 3 gimbal with Wide Angle Lens attached folds differently so you can put it back into the case with lens attached ... Lens folds to the front not to the inside of the gimbal when anything is attached magnetically to the lens ... There are 3rd party mist and ND filters for Pocket 3 already, so there are options. I'd say the main con is that the screen seems very flimsy. It seems like it can break off anytime :(. Plenty independent channels already got their screen ripped off ... I'm still waiting for OM-5 to be discounted. Seems it might be the best vlogging setup with Panasonic Leica 9mm F1.7 :D
the AliExpress Gordon Freeman is absolutely right although it's totally worth it anyway, I also own the DJI Pocket 2, the downsides are solvable and the Pocket 3 is basically better in everything except stills for example you can 3D print a cap that's not full body, just the gimbal
Please you need to buy it, I know your video on it will be the highlight of this years camera content on youtube Ima prepare the perfect dopamine peak, food, coffee + your video on a friday after working a whole weak. Ima peak the peak
100% agree that every review out there is basically the same video. Hilarious because I just got a video a few days ago. And on that video, the flip screen & specs was mentioned lol, I love your videos! The uniqueness and the humor (like when you’re mimicking the gimbal) are great. Keep it up.
I was ready to buy day 1, until several content creators compared it to the action 4, side by side.. I couldn't stand the blurry background. Everyone's using the pocket 3 for outside walk and talk style vlogs and they all live in a blurry hellscape. The blur is fine on product showcase, interviews ect and people claiming blur somehow equals professional content are melting my brain. Doesn't seem wide enough being hand held and I realize I'd be putting it on a tripod all the time and might as well buy a full frame camera at that point. As great as the pocket 3 is, Im still not convinced it's the vlog solution I was looking for.
Hi. I have the DJI Action 4 and I'm satisfied. I also have DJI Pocket 2. If I got the Pocket 3 in Canada where I live, and the accessories I need, it costs like a grand basically. If I use what I already have...I don't think I will lose much...and be $1000 richer. Thoughts?
you'd have f 5.4 equivalent instead of your f 8.19 equivalent, same focal length, 181 grams instead of 116, it now has a feature that goes straight into recording from an off position, the wireless microphone can now be used as a remote control. still no pre-record function. close focusing distance is now ~20 cm instead of 10 cm on version 2. audio is the same, but the new one can use usb audio interfaces which might be a big deal if you're a musician
I was given a GoPro 10 Black as a christmas gift and I was already wondering if I was being left behind by the Pocket 3. I'm so glad you made this video to talk me out of dropping nearly $600 on a camera when I can surely be happy with what I've got
I think you messed up on one thing. The Osmo 1 and 2..at least, has a Lens Cap that secures the head and protects the Lens. I've been using one for years! For example ...the Blanou OSMO Pocket Lens Cover
You can add the ND and the Mist over the top of that, they are super thin but not sure if you can turn it off when they are on, they dont go over the DJI wide angle though so maybe freewell will bring out a 15mm wide? That small gimballed i1inch sensor though wow, usable night footage finally, decent Soi Cowboi or Khao San Road walk throughs finally, vlogging dreamworld stuff showing the real world finally in all its glory!
Hahaha that first point is sooooo true!!! I can’t find people who actually review the device with showing it in real life… the best review so far is the 29 minute pro vs beginner on the full time film maker
Your review of others reviews is bang on, it's so satisfying watching someone else rant on about other reviews the same way I do when I'm watching them, its like I'm watching of mirror of myself on the screen which is telling me how right I am, thank you and congratulations, I am satisfied.
You actually can put the Pocket 3 in the case with the wide angle lens but the gimble won't turn and lock like it will without it. The made the case so the Pocket will fit with the wide angle lens on it. Thanks for the video.
It’s a really cool idea. I think you need to be able to adjust the f-stop and focal length, otherwise it’s just an expensive toy. A 16mm-32mm equivalent built in zoom with external wide angle and telephoto lens add-ons. F2-F8 would be enough although F1 would be perfect. My design would undoubtedly be heavier and larger but doable? Or maybe I just don’t get it…
this is a company that bought hasselblad, but i think you might be asking for a bit much. these small sensor cameras are ~F5.6 equivalent and up (pocket 3 without digital zoom), and on the digital zoom they're ~F16 thereabouts. (pocket 2 zoomed in). the air 3 has both 24 mm equivalent ~F4.5 equivalent and 70mm equivalent ~F10 equivalent lenses and there're some with bigger sensors but that still doesn't get you in the F2-F8 ballpark. for F2 on a gimbal i wouldn't expect anything under 2 kilograms anytime soon, and for F1 wide angle, well the lens itself is 2 kilograms
Their engineers have said in the past that it would increase the size unacceptably - or, they could keep the size and fit a much smaller battery. I suspect most users would not want either of those choices.
Might be best video camera I ever own. It’s so hidden. Been use a few weeks. The only thing I want if they release z axis. I did diy z axis using my first gen Osmo. Never touched the lens. Put on the pocket many times. I don’t know why compared to action cameras.
There is something that is needed to apply is something that nobody has spoken, from the app we can not pass from horizontal video to vertical video, or vice versa. I know that it is only an act of acting and that perhaps they have overlooked because Ironically when you select the video option in slow camera if it makes the vertical to horizontal change.
Honestly, you're the only reason I'd visit Canada. Every video better than the last. I'll move there. Be your manager and we'll share the Internet millions. My cut is 60%
Darn, I still purchased it after all the cons you noted... what I dumb ass I am. But hey, it does have some pros over action cams, like still being a small package with great stabilization in low light (no free cam jitters one gets with action cams in low light) and give you auto focus on your face should you vlog with it for some reason. At least we then don't need to also carry a close focus filter, but then we will miss the free added extra of smeared edges of frame.... But ... You missed the major con for us living in a rain forest on Wet Coast, Vancouver. Pocket 3 is not weather sealed or protected from rain/drizzle. Oh guess I could 3d print a rain umbrella for it to clip onto the body... ha ha brilliant I'm gonna patent that. So we swap out carrying close focus filter for a mini umbrella. Yay! Now, talk me out of getting an action cam! Ace Pro or DJI Action 4? Perhaps I wait for DJI Action 5 with 1" sensor? Anyone know when we will see 1" (not really 1") sensor action cams? But con then is we will need more close up filters (unless they have auto focus ... not likely for sure too fragile for action cam) as fixed focus issue will be even worse as sensor size grows... I guess you're correct, there is no perfect camera hey? Oh... enjoying your content! Great stuff.
Thank you for bringing up some lowlights on this camera, everyone I see just gushes about it. None of them really affect me, I love my GoPros but sometimes I need something to pull out quickly for some b-roll or to catch something. The Action3 is a good size to fit in my bar bag on my motorcycle, since my GoPros are mounted to my face or bike. I guess I'll see if I regret it, I see it as a tool for the toolbag, not a do-it-all camera like a GoPro or DJI Action, which makes the price REALLY hard to swallow.
You can replace the pocket 2 battery it’s just a pain in the ass. Every camera should always have removable batteries it’s a must for longer run n gun sessions
You should drop the cam and send it back to test out the return repair policy. I am having a terrible experience with my one to one exchange policy so far
I understand you are looking for the perfect camera. In your view the DJI Pocket 3 isn’t it, that’s fine. My view is is perfection is how we can create with the tools available. The pocket 3 is just a tool and it’s up to us to use to get as close to what is perfection as possible. I.E. the same thing the engineers at DJI tried to do.
Love your personality! But I think you're just delaying buying this camera because then your search will finally be over! Go get it! I love mine!! and I love your channel.
Most of those points are no longer like that! Like 120fps log added, rule of thirds CAN be used for face tracking, 3.5 can be used over mic, you can also have 2 audio files - cam and mic....
You need to start using DHT Blocker shampoo and ReStim+ which is a better version of minoxidil. You need to keep the hair you have. I remember you going through your old diets when you had Vegetable Police and you were where again? Thailand? Malaysia? I forgot what country you were in! But I remember that was an issue you had THEN your hair grew back. The goal now is to at least keep the hair you have and that's not diet, it's literally DHT that's thinning your hair strands. Love both channels, especially since I'm a professional photographer. : )

Pretty sure you'll get some credit for some Action 4 accessories, a shotgun mic, a Christmas tree topper and some candy corn. It was a strange order.
@xjet valid points thanks. Have you used any ND filters to counter the exposure issue you mention?
There's a button to push that will lock the gimbal
You can lock the gimbal
At least you kinda admit that you're trying to talk youself out of buying one. These cons don't come close to outweighing the pros. The Pocket 3 is a massive leap forward from the 2. I prefer the 1 to the 2, but the 3 conquers both.
Your gimbal impersonation was Oscar-worthy. Bravo!
you can also set face tracking on the side and keep the rule of thirds, there is a special option for this and osmo pocket gives you this option. As for the gimbal's response, you can set it to sport mode and it also follows you very quickly.
One of my favorite features actually
I got one the day after it came out and took it on a trip to Hong Kong the day after for 8 days. I was so happy with it, the external battery was a life saver, I would use it to charge up the internal battery then when it had done that would plug it into a power bank in my pocket to top up. I was also surprised just how good the low light was, looking at the screen at night you could see more than reality. If anyone is interested I have a night tour walking around Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel on my channel if you are interested.
This camera has been a game changer for my channel.. coming from a gopro. low light performance is awesome
Not if I don't like the content it doesn't

You can actually leave the filters on when you put it back in the case. If a filter is on then you turn the OP3 off, the lens turns towards the lcd and is designed to be pushed into the case without taking the filter off. It’s pretty great - try it!
I don’t know what OP3 setting that is but mine tries to stow normally, realizes it has a filter on and then flips around the other way and can be stowed.
@@OverlandExposuresyup! That’s how mine works exactly.
I'll be honest. I hate the glimmer glass, i don't see why you like it. It just makes everything look blurry / faded but not in a good cinematic way
I made a few videos with it, the quality is so much better then a action cam but its still so much easier to carry then a proper camera
One thing comes out of all this: If you want an action cam, get an action cam. DJI is targeting different customers with osmo and that's a damn good thing. I would actually prefer an even longer lens something like 24-30mm with even blurrier background. But you can never please everyone. I think that DJI made a good compromise.
foreal was thinking this, didnt address at all who this is for lol but not hating

He was wrong about a few other things too. Tempted to list some timestamps as well.
😅😂 Great Camera Bro, absolutely no regrets. With these Freewell Filters 🥇💪🏽
I shoot Weddings for profit and after playing with the footage in 4K 101Bit D-Log, Side by Siding the Pocket 3 to my S5 II footage with not really noticeable small nuances.
If you treat this like a toy your footage will reflect that. DJI is pretty far ahead with the tech in this thing..
🔥 the Mic 2 alone with this Turn On Software Free Connect, 32-Bit Float & Timecode plus pocketable Mechanical Gimbal - Camera, Log, Tracking, Low Aperture, etc. for $670… come on 😅
It’s crazy the expectation we demand 🤣We will never be happy even with all the advance Technology in our generation.

OMG, it's a real review of the DJI Pocket 3, and correct even without actually having it!! How amazing! Love it! Speak the truth, Reverend Kasey!
He didn’t actually review the pocket 3 thought :(
On the point of stabe, in fairness, you can lock the gimbal in place and have just digital stabe (if there is any?) or just no stabe at all. Does this mean it’s the perfect camera and your show is over?

Needs to get permission from Zelinsky and Netunyahu first
After Hours of searching the music name at the beginning of his video is named "Benevolent Beast" on his website. FINALLY
Didn’t even care about the camera, video was so entertaining couldn’t pull away.
I have noticed that the battery handle will drain fast when it's just sitting on a shelf. I charge it to 100% and let it sit off for 3 days and it's only at 60-65% when you grab it and turn it on. Why is the "off" state draining so much power?
Isn’t that the pits? My DJI mini 3 drone behaves the same way. I think this is a DJI thing.
I think my Gopro does that.
That’s not a bug, it’s a feature. DJI drone batteries do the same. When batteries determine themself to be unused for a few days, they drain to about 2/3s. This helps long term battery health so that the camera and batteries will be usable for years. Batteries are considered consumables.
My Sony rx0 behaves the same way if battery is left inside, totally find if I take the battery out
Yeah, DJI is pretty bad at managing the off state of their electronic devices. So much drain.
God, agreed so much with the “reviews” aka ads. Same with music gear. It’s so obvious.
Amazon has replaceable batteries for Osmo 1 and 2. And it's not that hard to replace. So kids...don't throw away your Osmo's!
Pocket 3 (or all pocket) with non replaceable batteries are the weirdest design ever (function wise). Those thing aren't even weather proof or any sort of proofing to justify built in battery.
But the battery IS replaceable! Just like replacing a hard drive on a laptop.@@trym2121
Freewheel already do it, mist filter attaches to nd as well
Some good points made actually. They need a button to turn the gimbal off n on easily
The blown highlights is real. The first test I did with the Pocket 3 was selfie in direct sun and I had to go -2 EV comp to fix it.
But, you CAN fix it.
if it doesn't point at the thing you want, you can just grab the camera part and aim it there manually. sure it's less convenient than a point and shoot, but it's fine. on the flipside, every single shot you'll ever make will be level with the horizon
Respecccc 🙏 theyre all advertisements. I miss the old youtube
Finally someone mentions the problem with the aperture! It was the first thing I noticed.
Me too but funboys scream: it's perfect. I like dji but this model lose the point...
@12:37 is why you are the master of this genre
This reads like someone trying to talk themselves out of buying one 😂 It’s truly an awesome camera. I never take my ND filters off during the day, it folds up just fine when I turn the camera off with them on. The whole segment about attaching it to a clip on your chest is just.. who needs that? Who uses that? In the case of wanting FPV footage like that, you need a wider lens that an action cam can give you anyway. IMO, the Pocket is meant for more control behind the camera, for the outstanding low light capabilities, and the quality of the full 1 inch sensor.
The backpack clip is the best way to carry a camera around when not in use. Don't act like the Pocket 3 fits in a pocket lol.

Thoughts?
Thoughts? Yeah, Trudeau is Fidel Castro's son and supports n@zi Ukraine
you'd have f 5.4 equivalent instead of your f 8.19 equivalent, same focal length, 181 grams instead of 116, it now has a feature that goes straight into recording from an off position, the wireless microphone can now be used as a remote control. still no pre-record function. close focusing distance is now ~20 cm instead of 10 cm on version 2. audio is the same, but the new one can use usb audio interfaces which might be a big deal if you're a musician

The Freewell ND big filter pack for it has a 1/4 mist filter, agree re built in battery and 3.5mm but you can dongle it.
You can add the ND and the Mist over the top of that, they are super thin but not sure if you can turn it off when they are on, they dont go over the DJI wide angle though so maybe freewell will bring out a 15mm wide?

Everyone should watch this video. Thank you
The built in battery is a show stopper. Why not make it replaceable like Insta 360?
Firstly you are THE BeST! Love your honesty reviews. I love my P3 but I'm a novice and not expecting perfection. This is perfect for the basic user!

But I remember that was an issue you had THEN your hair grew back. The goal now is to at least keep the hair you have and that's not diet, it's literally DHT that's thinning your hair strands. Love both channels, especially since I'm a professional photographer. : )
Freewell already have the ND, CPL and a 1/4 Mist filter for the pocket 3. It's the Mega 14 Pack on their page, I believe Amazon doesn't have the filters in stock yet.
