Two questions about pulling information from the random text file:
1) Is it possible to put %user% etc. in the random text files?
2) Can you format text (bold/italic/colours/etc)?
Very cool add in. Does it limit posting the welcome post if the person comes and leaves multiple times? Can you limit it to one time per 24 hours, for example, for the same viewer?
Cheers David! If you see the little number box where we test the message, thats the amount of time before the persons 1st message is reset!

How does this work for the new version after the update on 2.1 it doesn't work anymore
I swear you made a video on how to make a custom welcome message for specific viewers but I can't seem to find it. Would there be a way to do that by using Streamerbot? I would like to use the idea to make a welcome animation activate instead of just text when my one viewer says something in chat for the first time as a surprise for them. I already have the animation made but I'd like to automate it instead of using a text command through another bot to activate it. Great video btw! Thanks so much for all the amazing work you do and inspiration you provide! 😁
I did make a video like that for LioranBoard. You can totally do that in StreamerBot by using it statements under the logic tab. There are a few other ways too, but I’m still diving into those!

I am using the newer version on streamer bot what would be the trigger for the sub action?

This is a super useful and straightforward tutorial, but I'm wondering, is there a way (after testing to be sure it works) for me to set the greeting NOT to trigger for me or for my chatbot account? I would think I might have to set an argument or something, but I am not really sure what direction to go in.
NEVERMIND, I FIGURED IT OUT MYSELF FROM MESSING AROUND!
For anyone else with the same problem, you have to go to the Action tab, select your Welcome action, and in the Sub-Actions, Add Action > Logic > If.
From there, make the variable = %user%, operator = Equals, value = your Twitch username (or other account you don't want to have welcomed), do action = , make sure Run Action Immediately is checked, then = Break.
Once you have it, set it to the very top of your sub-actions list.
This seems like a much easier version of Liorenboard. Is this gonna work for UA-cam any time soon?
It is quite good isn’t it! Nate wants to make it for UA-cam but UA-cam’s api isn’t the easiest to get on with etc

I'm using OBS 28.0.1 & StreamerBot 0.1.12. Something's not working right. It was fine before and now this is the only thing not working correctly. Any suggestions?

Inside streamerbot there is a command to play a sound from a file or folder. You can also put the sound in OBS and trigger the source visibility

I can add it to the list but you can just add a sound command in SB or have it in OBS and trigger the source visibility of it!

You can adjust the text directly in OBS. I don’t think they have a opacity option though

You should be able to put them in an ignore list! I’d recommend jumping in the streamerbot discord!
@@Andilippi I asked about this in the streamerbot discord and nobody seemed to know. I know there is a command and you can click ignore bot, but that is for commands. Ugh.. I don't want it always showing the bot when I start my stream up
