Amar Doraiswamy is the only child of multi-millionaire businessman, who lives in a palatial house in Goa, India, along with his wife. Amar introduces a close, but poor friend, Ram, to his father, who employs him conditionally. Amar falls in love with a woman named Sushma Rai, and asks Ram to pen a love letter and poem for her. Sushma gets to read the letter and the poem, and thinking that Ram is Amar, falls in love with him. She meets him, and he is also unknowingly attracted to her, both feel that they are inseparable soul-mates. Then Ram gets a shock when he finds out that Sushma is Amar's intended and decides to stay away from her. But Sushma has other plans, for she intends to marry Ram at any cost, not realizing that by doing this, she is placing not only Ram's life, but also the lives of two other individuals, namely Uma Devi and Lalit, in jeopardy.

I am from Nepal. Awesome movie; no words to praise. But ending is based on Hindi film formula which sounds dramatic and climax is not appealing, as it should be. Although film is slow but it captivates audiences from beginning to end, story looks realistic, acting of all actors praiseworthy, specially my most most beautiful and favourite actress Sadhana and most talented actors Dharmendra, Bishwajit and all. Thanks makers of this movie. Songs and music of the entire film is melodious and unique.

WOW for the first time I heard a proper bhojpuri in a Bollywood movie without any bollywoodization. The other movie in which there was no or very less bollywoodization of a language spoken in Uttar Pradesh is Amitabh Bachchan's Adalat where AB spoke Awadhi. Bhojpuri spoken in UP and Bihar is different. Leela Mishra is from Jais near Amethi or Rai bareilly and the language spoken there is Awadhi and not bhojpuri but Leela ji nailed it. The accent in which she spoke sounded like bhojpuri spoken near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. May be Leela jis maternal side is bhojpuri speaking.
