@@RickHorejsi Nope. Just watching the season. Washington has weakened and Oregon has gotten stronger. Better running game, much better defense. On par in the passing department.
Running game had been much better for Washington the last few weeks, though it didn't show today and of course it started against one of the most pitiful run defense teams in the country (USC). Weather played a huge factor in the game against Oregon State. Completely shut down the Husky passing game and players were dropping balls left and right. Played into the hands of a more run-oriented team in Oregon State. Plus Oregon State is a good team. Still doesn't explain the struggles against ASU in better conditions. You’re a good sport sir, but the PAC’s conference championship game has mostly cannibalized the conference by compromising its top teams’ national rankings. I get what your saying but the apple cup has more meaning than to advance to a bowl game ! Most years these teams are out of contention early but......we can always look forward to a battle that has been around for 115 years ! I'm glad that we will continue for at least the next five years !

The rest of the teams above us or just below us are playing with teams full of 4 and 5 star guys, now does that always matter? No but it helps especially in a long season. You will find the occasional sleeper but usually your talent will be what they are, level up or level down. So far the Huskies have leveled up but eventually things even out and maybe the Huskies will level up again next week for the Fightin’ Phil Knights but the trend says that they will be what they are 3 stars with some 4 stars vs. a bunch of 4 and 5 stars finally living up to their potential. The Fightin’ Phil Knights on paper just outman us but regardless win or lose this season will go down as one of the more special ones. I want the CFP but I wouldn’t mind a NY6 bowl either.
That said, I've heard (this team is going to smash Washington) plenty this year, after struggling in the game prior. I've heard Oregon was going to do it, then USC, then Utah, then Oregon State, and now it's back to hearing how Oregon is going to do it
The committee will drop them to 5 or 6 after barely beating a bad team at home.
And who, pray tell, will they be elevating? The rest of the teams above us or just below us are playing with teams full of 4 and 5 star guys, now does that always matter? No but it helps especially in a long season. You will find the occasional sleeper but usually your talent will be what they are, level up or level down. So far the Huskies have leveled up but eventually things even out and maybe the Huskies will level up again next week for the Fightin’ Phil Knights but the trend says that they will be what they are 3 stars with some 4 stars vs. a bunch of 4 and 5 stars finally living up to their potential.
