I remember those brown coffee cups from my childhood and I am 68. My parents had the whole set of dishes. It brought back good memories.
The canister and big spoon, definitely clean it up and coat it with a lighter neutral color.

Great finds! I would leave the silver pot with the spoon as is. Great piece. Your thrift prices are so much better then our stores around here! I found a plain Jane tall vase with no decor markings and goodwill wanted 24.99! Love your rings

I don’t think I would refinish the water container with the long handled water scoop.I think it’s pretty old. Use it as decoration around pottery, plants, etc. But, as always, up to you. Great find along with your other finds!

The lovely turned wooden bowl looks to be Oregon myrtlewood, much sought after very desjreable,,,will last a lifetime. It looked like the bottom had previously had a round label perhaps fromThe House of Myrtlewood, The Wooden Nickle or other Oregon maker. You have a good eye.

Such great finds and the Metal Pot I would leave it just the way it is. The tall floor vase would look good painted and distressed. I love the Skis and you did a great job on them, too. Thanks for sharing and have a great day.
Great haul. Leave the pot and dipper as is....you can't replicate that patina in years! And you'll need to season the cast iron (Bobby fl) piece.ay

I have a silver bucket like the one you were asking about (whether to paint it). I was told it is a blueberry gathering bucket. If that's true, I don't think the ladle is relevant. Mine is a similar color and patina and is similarly dented up -- I love it.

Hull has some really great pieces, I have some great pieces, that were my mom's. They don't seem to be worth a whole lot, but I still think that you did get a deal on it. I remember that style of coffee cup being in diners, when I was a child, and I always loved them. I have a metal can, similar to yours, but it doesn't have a lid. I won't paint mine, because I love the color of that metal.

Hope you heal well. For the broken vase I’d repair it then paint it white lightly distress afterwards. Would also look nice with an IOD transfer or stamp. The little tin bucket and ladle would look nice painted and lightly distressed. A pretty lighter navy blue.

Hi just wondering if you have heard of barge painting, this form of art would be perfect for the metal piece you have shown in this video. It is an art form that was used on the barge boats on English canals. I'm sure you would be very good at this.

My hubby recently got 2 of those brown mugs from somwhere online. They are like the ones his mom had. I told him they might have lead in them. He just went to get a lead detector at Home Depot. He really loves his brown mugs.
Hi Nancy🤗 Oh wow! I didn't know you could get the detectors at Home Depot. Will you let me know what you find out? I found different sites claiming high levels of lead and other metals😟. But we really love those mugs too.
The Home Depot lead test kit proved there is NO lead in those brown mugs. Hubby is so happy.
