Regarding Paulie's situation, actor Jack Nicholson and singer Bobby Darin were two celebrities who also found out as adults that their "mother" was actually their aunt.
The scene when Meadow’s voice seemingly brings Tony back? Melts my heart every time! ❤ for a FEW seconds, there? I didn’t think he was going to make it.
I bet if James Gandolfini HAD passed before the sixth season started or after the first episode in real life, they WOULD have killed him off! I wonder how David Chase would have continued the season if it happened while the show was still running.
Paulie sobbing over a mother’s plea for her son, then in the next scene breaking that same son’s kneecaps.

The look on Paulie's face when his real mother spills the beans is priceless. Also, the scenes with Hal Holbrook ("Mr. Wizard") which Tony met in the hospital were very touching.
There’s an internet theory that Paulie’s real father, a G.I. named “Russ,” is Dr. Russ Fegoli, the friend of Carm’s dad who we met in season 5 at the barbecue. It’s insane, but it’s fun to think about.

These episodes remind me of the story that Michael Imperioli told about bringing a special guest to the set of The Sopranos, and surprising James Gandolfini while he was lying down in the hospital bed with his eyes closed trying to stay in character, opening his eyes to see Muhammad Ali staring back at him.
It doesn't matter that she's actually Paulie's aunt, she loved and raised him. He can't be mad at someone for raising him. Paulie is crazy 😂
You've got to give it Paulie, though. Annoying a guy OUT of a coma is some kind of special talent 😂
I like to think that Paulie realized what it means to be a mother, and finally understood WHO that really was, regardless of relation, or religious persecution.
Only to flop in a dark humor type fashion, and little Barron’s mama pleading her son’s case, ironically inspired paulie to love tap her boys knee caps in an effort to extort him so he can pay for HIS mom’s luxurious‘retirement community’ 😅

He was resuscitated. I don't understand why you don't know that TBH. They reported that he passed, then recanted and apologized as multiple news channel's etc reported it. They used a shot of adrenaline and several nitrous oxide pills to stabilize him.

Y'all missed the point of that last scene. He was emotional that the guy's mom advocated for him, and he still wants to help is aunt/mom, but he wants the money for the nursing home to come out of that dude's pocket. It wasn't about the sale doing anything to him.
One thing about the Sopranos. There are no objective answers. Everyone interprets it their own way. What makes it great- there are no easy answers in life.

❤Paulie is such an old lady. Back in the day in that generation there was many many cases like Paulie's. There were no unweded pregnancies allowed......you just went to "visit" a relative for about 7 or 8 months then you would come home and the baby was adopted out.

I will say it's odd that in a world full of pictures, actual Dinosaur excavations are few and far between.
Not Mammoths, or Cave Bears, Sabretooth Tigers, etc. But actual Dinosaurs like T-Rex, Brontosaurus, Triceratops.

The reason that Pauly demands $4000 a month from the waste disposal contract guy, is because he's decided to continue to pay for the nursing home for his mother/ Aunt, is because The nursing home costs him $4000 a month. He was willing to keep paying for his mother to stay there As Tony wants him to do, And this way, not a penny comes out of his own pocket.
The reason is he's envious of the guy. Paulie has always been greedy.

Wait a second, that woman raised him, took care of him!! She was his mother, despite who birthed him!! It's not like she tested him badly as a child or anything!! Pauline would not have done what he did for the woman who raised him had she not been a great Mom.

I dont care about biological ties. She raised and cared for him since he was baby, and put up with him through all the legal stuff Im sure he was involved in, She is his mother. Giving birth to a child doesn't make you a mother, just like getting someone pregnant doesn't make you a father.
