OMG thank you for this video! I just watched (or half-watched) like 10 different videos on this topic and down voted them all because no one was mentioning how frustrating and unintuitive this "feature" is - many were celebrating it like it's legit amazing. It seems totally half-baked to me, being both unnecessarily cumbersome and just not functioning how we need, want, and expect recurring tasks to. I actually think that Notion does deserve the label of task manager because it mostly certainly is about managing projects (and the associated tasks of those projects), so I think they really dropped the ball with this feature and you articulated its flaws so well! I hope Notion is listening!
Thank you for chiming in! I really hope that Notion does listen in to our feedback and improve this! I know so many of us would be happy for something a lot more functional.
Thank you for doing this. I just spent the last three days building reoccurring task templates… I must have about 30 for the entire week. Now I’m going back to my Notion to rebuild my task list 😅😂
I synced my Google Calendar with Notion Calendar and deleted a recurring task in Google Calendar. But it still shows up in Notion. Does anyone know a solution to this?
I'm not sure if this is what you are asking, but to implement a Recurring Database Template, you need to click the dropdown arrow next to NEW on the right hand side of your database and create a new template. Once that is done, then go back to the dropdown and click the three dots to the right of that template. That's where you can set repeat to ON and configure how often it recurs.
I'm wondering if too many blank pages affect Notion's performance. There are teams that work on thousands of pages. So far I haven't found anything that makes the common habit trackers with Pages Notion too slow. Maybe Unsplash covers and too many widgets and databases
Love the little ⚡energy icon! What a great idea!
Thank you! I love adding little things like that. :)

This is exactly what I was looking for as I am setting up my Notion
You're most welcome, Emily!

Oh no!! 🫣 I mean, you CAN use them... but since no one talks about the potential drawbacks, I wanted others to at least be aware!

Did you restart Notion Calendar? Sometimes it needs a push to recognize the update. But if not, I would reach out to Notion!
@@KalynBrookeCo Did refresh but not close and restart. Will try it out! Also messaged Notion 💪

That's an idea. It could be for sure.
