- Golden Retriever Meets Terrified Puppy who was Rescued from Certain Death
Meet Rusa, a rescue puppy that needed saving. We have fostered Rusa, and we're going to look after her until we find her forever home. We've got Kobe & Moki who will hopefully bring her out her shell

Hello, my name’s Alfie. I was at school when you guys came to pick her up from my home so I sadly couldn’t say my goodbyes. But it’s good to know she’s enjoying life.I would LOVE for you guys to keep her. Wish you and Rusa the best
Thank you for taking taking Rusa on in the first place! She’s a very trusting dog, you guys did great with her. Lots more videos will be coming 🙏
Sad about your friend, but she has great family and two funny siblings
So did u end up keeping her?
Thank you for taking her to begin with, to get her started on her healing journey! You were an important part of her new life.

Stockholm syndrome.
@@TrumpFacts-wl2ik Yes, you are very observant and make perfect sense, this is clearly Stockholm Syndrome.
And when the ransom of ten million Amerikan dollars is paid, she can go.
But until then, she will have to enjoy the warm home and love of her four fiendish kidnappers (two humans, a Golden Retriever and a Doberman pup).
Mwahahahaha!

Warms my heart. Thank you for your compassion.
I’ve no idea how people abandon dogs. It’s good to know people like you two exist.
And in w'inter!!! What a heartless SOB!
Maybe they alot of times are not abandoned, dogs can escape there home as well, and run off, as dogs love to see whats over the horizon like humans, they are adventurous
Dogs like humans want to see whats over the horizon, and many of these abandoned dogs, may of just escaped there home, and were not able to get back home
Dogs naturally do not want to be confined, just like most animals on earth
Same reasons animals will abandon their own offspring.
Poverty
@@user-zu6ir6kj5g I understand someone not being able to afford to raise them, but those puppies were left in a box under a bush. The person could have just as easily taken the dogs to a local shelter. Not being able to afford them isn't a good enough reason to leave them in the situation they were left in.

You two are the cutest couple! Thank you for what you do.
How sweet! Thank you both for being such wonderful, caring people and giving those dogs a good home :)
What wonderful gentle people! This is what the world needs. Thank you!!!
I agree!! Lovely people!!!❤
My wife and I foster abused dogs, we've been doing it for a number of years. You guys handled the first interaction perfectly. Now it's all about giving her time to decompress, great job guys.
What a beautiful distraction from the chaos of the world… Ty.
Seeing her finally wagging her tail instead of tucking it between her legs is really heart warming! I wonder what she has been through to have been so afraid all the time...
Your two dogs are very kind. They sensed Rusa's uncertainty and showed behavior that reassured her. And she was ready and interested to meet other dogs. Dogs like people but they like other dogs too- they feel most comfortable being part of a pack. Credit and respect to Kobe and Moki! They each should get a biscuit, I think.
For sure being in a pack will help them feel more comfortable quicker!
HER TAIL!! I have a rescue, she was a street dog for 5 years, came into the shelter with broken bones, terrible shape. She was snuggly quite quickly, but she hardly wagged her tail for the first three months. We've had her for three years now. She still hides behind the bed sometimes, and her favorite nap spots are under our desks. And she is still our forever snuggle buddy
so glad a caring person has given that baby a home 🥹🥹 wishing you and your rescue the best 💞💞
You did the right thing by letting the dogs meet outside.
we would've gotten them to meet in a more neutral ground but Rusa hadn't been on a walk for weeks and was scared of cars etc, so thought our garden was the next best thing
@@thegoldenkobefamily Lovely people to care for this little dog!
@@thegoldenkobefamily It wouldn't matter much with the retriever but Dobermans are often territorial and may resent unknown dogs or people on their territory. Fortunately this dog wasn't, and has clearly been trained to socialize well with other dogs.
Bless you for fostering
Trying to help where we can 🙏
You’re a lovely, lovely caring beautiful couple! Acts like this truly warm my heart and restore my faith in humankind! Thanks! ❤😊
You’re such loving, caring people❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoyed watching this-and loved how he kept saying how brave she is-such words of compassion, AND it’s so true! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You two are so good with dogs ❤
Thank you!
Young traumatised dogs always need a good pack to heal them, I think Rusa is going to be really happy. She’s so adorable. Well done all of you, dog and human.
❤
No they don't, they can heal perfectly well without other dogs

THIS IS A MOST LOVELY VIDEO! THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR MOMENTS WITH YOUR FUR BABIES...THEY ARE SO PRECIOUS. SO GLAD YOU HAVE ADOPTED THE TERRIFIED RESCUE PUPPY. WELL DONE!
The most amazing thing about this video is watching her little tail go from being completely tucked under, to wagging by the end. What a wonderful couple!
Thank you for this video. Very heartening to see Rusa being to scared and afraid at the beginning to opening up at the end (all within a day!). God bless you for what you are doing!
Your talk and treatment towards her is so sweet. This is wonderful!
I think Rusa has already found her forever family with you guys you’re perfect for her

Thank you for saving Rusa and giving her the patience and care she needs. So glad there are good humans in the world like you both.
What is "good humans"? A phantasy? I witnessed situations where people said the politically/zeitgeist wrong things and suddenly were the evil humans, i.e. helping the homeless human beings or dogs suddenly didn't count.
Seeing the Doberman with a tail brought me such joy. Thank you for saving Rusa!
I think the US is primarily the one who tail docks and ear crops, UK does not.

I don’t know how you can just foster a lovely puppy like Rusa without keeping her. She fits with your family so beautifully. Thank you for what you are doing for her. (I say keep her, keep her, keep her)❤
I foster failed, and I regret it a little bit. Even though I love this dog so much, four is a lot and the pack dynamic is off now.
That little dog is very brave and assured -- a reflection of how caring and affectionate her humans are.
This made me cry, who does that. Evil people 😢😢😢, so pleased you can help this little one. Bless you both ❤❤❤
Well done! More!
I love videos like this where a loving family takes in a distressed animal & gives the pet a chance at a good life. Thanks for sharing! All the best for all of you and yours! Molly
I love the way you guys took it slow, allowing her to explore the house a bit on her own *before* introducing her to your other dogs. All the strange new sights, sounds & smells can be a bit overwhelming for them. Sitting on the floor was a great idea also, giving her the idea that you are with her, while still giving her agency. Slow and quiet and gentle, great job!
You would have to be a heartless devil to abandon puppies. What kind of world are we living in? Thank you for caring for this little dog, it will come back to you in good luck and good health for the rest of your life. God bless you and your family.

What kind of world are we living in that we forget we domesticated wild animals and took away their ability to survive in harsh climates for our own personal needs... Have to be pretty heartless to completely change the nature and ability of an animal for your own selfish wants ...
@@daisymaefrench4041 You vegan? I bet you are eating some kind of puppies every day….
@@GrantCrabeEven pups in the wild need their mother to survive because they don’t know how to. Abandoning a box of puppies is cruel and heartless.
I rescued my Charlie 14 years ago from a shelter and was told he had been abused and if given a chance would run away! It took a while to get him to trust me and a week before he was comfortable around others and knew he was safe. Once he realized no one was going to hit or kick him again, he ruled the house! He passed in his sleep at 14 years old on 1/18/24. I was miserable without my little buddy, even though no one could ever replace Charlie, I adopted Luca from the shelter on 2/14/24! I will never understand how anyone could abuse or abandon an animal!!
Thank you for rescuing Rusa and providing her the love and safety she deserves! 🙏🐾❤️
My neighbor lost his mini schnauzer and was just so lost and sad. He finally went to the shelter and there was another mini schnauzer who needed him! He’s a new man with that dog, he seems much happier and way more active himself!

Yes, more Rusa, please! She is adorable! What a brave girl. Your other dogs are lovely, too. You can tell they were raised in a loving home--so gentle and friendly with the new pup.
Hey, really special you guys are doing this and letting people into your world. Thank you!
they're so cute!!
You two should definitely consider letting this be her forever home. It's so hard for rescues to adapt to an environment, and Rusa clearly took a liking to the two of you; and her big brother and sister, would be a shame to rehome her. This is the fastest I've ever seen a rescue pup take to a new environment.
Wow, you both are great, thank you for rescuing.

This is just what I needed today. In California, family members lost 4 homes in 1 fire yesterday. Dogs make everything better.
Oh no! I'm so sorry!! 😢 I took a minute to say a prayer for your family members 🙏 I pray that they have/receive God's peace that surpasses all understanding as they navigate through this very difficult time. Focus on the fact that nobody lost their lives...& that things can be replaced. Take care. Respectfully...🙏❤🙏
So sorry to hear about your loss.
Hi, I don’t know you but God Bless you & your family. Sorry you’re experiencing such devastation with your family. A little brightness, goes a long way.❤
So sorry for your family. May God help you in the name of Jesus.
My parents’ house recently caught fire too. Due to the age of the house and the health issues that were exposed afterwards, we decided to tear down the house and rebuild. Everyone made it out safely, including the dog. Unfortunately, the dog was sick and we didn’t know it. The fire made her worse and she stopped eating and responding to us. We made the decision to put her down and then we started losing more of our possessions. Fortunately, we have all the family heirlooms, the needlepoints my aunts made, my grandfather’s handmade carvings, and all my grandmother’s handmade quilts. The cause of the fire was a lightning strike hitting the power pole in the backyard and the ensuing fireball hit the roof. My parents have secured housing for one year and the insurance paid for it. We appreciate your prayers. Thanks!! 😊
Rest in peace Cocoa!! 😭🥀
what a beautiful family and a peaceful house of joy , Rusa is going to be so happy there.
These are the best possible people in our world. My respect and admiration to you both.

SO stunningly beautiful, WELL DONE ALL OF YOU
You have 2 amazing dogs Kobe and Moki, you've done an excellent job of raising two calm and happy dogs, well done.
I can see the intelligence in Rusa, she's also sweet and loving.
I can only see positives in this lovely family of 5.
Honestly having a foster family with two other chill understanding dogs is probably one of the best things for foster success. It really sets her up to be okay in another home that has dogs, and it can really help with her confidence having another of her kind showing signs that everything is okay. Keep up the good work with Rusa, and would love to see updates!
We hope so! And thank you
I disagree.
Being fostered and bonding with new humans and siblings only to taken from that environment and forced somewhere new, is one of the most traumatic experiences for an already traumatized animal.
The animal has already been abandoned once and are being abandoned again by who they just formed loving bonds with.
The animal will be less likely to fully trust any situation in the future the more the animal exchanges hands.
Especially if the next family decides having a animal in their home is too much and wants to get rid of them.
One of the other comments came from someone who called themselves Alfie and stated this couple picked rusa up from their home.
So rusa has already been passed from home to home several times... it's no wonder she is traumatized so much, she thinks just when someone loves her, she is taken away from that environment and put somewhere else.
It's not heartwarming, it's sad.
@@Az_N.S.O.L. Thank you very much for your input. I completely understand where you are coming from, as I have volunteered with a lot of animals with abandonment issues. I will say I've mainly worked with cats, but I have had some dog experience as well.
However, I think part of why fostering can be a good solution is to help teach some of the social skills so that they don't get abandoned again. If she gets used to other dogs, that means that more families with other animals know that she is safe around their current dogs. They can also attempt to help with training and if she had any behavioral issues. So while yes the shift from foster care to a new home will be difficult and sad, I think the pros outweigh the cons imo. But it's good to keep the abandonment trauma in mind with how to proceed, so thank you for your comment
I was impressed by how quickly Rusa figured out she was safe with each new creature. She was clearly using the humans as a safe place to go back to while exploring, and looked to them to see if they were nervous too. Kobe was perfectly behaved and put Rusa at ease quickly. This is a great example of how to introduce dogs to a new home!
That was such an amazingly quick turn around. I didn’t expect her to relax that much in one video. Fortunately you have two wonderful dogs to help with her transformation.
God bless you for giving this pup and great, happy, safe life.❤
