My year-old German Shepherd is obsessed with me and follows me everywhere, even into the bathroom. If she could talk, she'd probably say: "I think you are suffering from a lack of vitamin me!!!" :D
Lol 😂 I have two labradoodles and one of them is exactly the same (his brother can’t be arsed lol). They’re black and I always think I should have called him Shadow cause that’s what he is! Apparently it’s a sign that they love you and want to be around you because they associate you with excitement 🙂
when I first had a car, an early Mini minor 1963, My German shepherd loved going out for a drive. I stopped in town to buy a magazine, and left the sliding window open because the dog was asleep on the back seat. As I left the paper shop, I saw a man casing my car as if to steal it, he opened the door and started to get in. He didn't stay in it long, he got out minus a part of his coat sleeve. better than any car alarm.
I still miss Boxer my German Shepard from 70 years ago. I'm 77 now, but I remember him like it was yesterday. He was very protective of me. I hope I see him in the after-life.
To imagine your dog waiting for you in heaven is every pet owner's dream. I wish you good health. Boxer is in the best place and waiting to see you again. 🥰
I've had previously 2 gsd. So in credibly intelligent. They don't. Miss much. We currently have 2 gsd rescues fully mature but lacking previously of stable homes. First time I took them swimming with me in a local river they both were determined to "rescue " me. It took a few times of swims to convince them that I wasn't in danger. Good dogs.
I was I initially confused as to why daisy was biting my forearm and pulling on me. It was a good thing that I was wearing along sleeved wetsuit. I had to kick her away and then bud took over. And stupid me finally understood their motives. I did praise them and hugged them. The next couple of swims they paid close attention but gradually accepted that I was ok in water. My disabled husband watched from the riverside and we agreed that I should not swim underwater because the dogs would freak out! 😊
@@leighshields1501 I took my German Shepherd swimming at the river and when I dove off a five-foot-tall rock into the water, he jumped in right after me and was yelping and whining because I was under water according to one of my friends, and he kept swimming right above me until I surfaced. I had to reassure him that everything was o.k. After that, he was fine and would just jump off the rock into the water with me and we'd have a lot of play time.
we had an old german shepherd for about a year (we gave him shelter because a refugee from ukraine counld't have him in her new home in germany). I never had a dog before, Rocky conquered our heart immidiatly - he was the biggest shepherd i've ever seen. Sadly he has the back-problem a lot of older Shepherds have. but while walking along one neighbours fence, the one with the huge irish wolfshound, Rocky looked like in his prime always readdy to fight and enjoying the encounter with him. no one entered our garden without permission. despite having him only one year, we are still missing him.
That’s so sweet! Dogs are so protective and caring. It’s amazing how they can sense when something might be wrong, even when we’re asleep. Such a loving companion!
I didn't want another dog until my son moved in with his GSD. He's a shedder but i love him. Now that they've moved out, i still don't want one... 😆 i can visit anytime and my son let's me borrow him.
Our half shepherd once figured out how to open our cupboard door, open a newly bought bag of treats, and then hide the bag after she ate them all. No joke. So, yeah, it's almost creepy how smart they are.
German shepherds have to be the silliest dogs in the world. I've been doing in German Shepherd rescue for 25 years. Add some other things they go through before coming in will amaze you on their turnaround. I have never treated my foster baby any better than I did my own. One that I had was seven he was an owner surrender and you could see his bones. Show the next day we take him to our vet and there was nothing medically wrong. The people just did not feed him on top of that he had no toys. Normally these are the ones that come to my house set I am very good at what I do. When he discovered tennis balls it was the funniest thing in the world. Sometimes he would carry two or three tennis balls. Then at night when I'm over in my garage and all the babies are running in and out he would bring a tennis ball into the garage and as long as my hands were not dirty I would throw it for him. Then for some unknown reason he was taking tennis balls and sticking them into my Harley. Sometimes he just set them on places but a lot of times he put them into the bike itself. (Here is a excellent tip for anybody who buys toys for their babies. Do not buy the tennis balls at the pet store has. They are not real tennis balls and the little pieces can choke your baby. You need to get real tennis balls) he was showing the balls up into the exhaust system and when I was going riding with all my friends all the sudden on the right side of my bike I got all this smoke. I hurried up and turn the engine off and drifted to the side. That silly boy put a tennis ball somewhere that I did not see it before taking my bike out. A lot of people would ask did you get mad and pick up all the tennis balls? Absolutely not as long as my babies are not tearing up the house make him run around and play as much as they want. On top of that every single one of them including my fosters are all trained. If I whistle or snap My fingers no matter what they are doing come to a complete stop. I motion them to come to me and they all run over and sit in front of me. Sometime as a group I would make them all sit down and then lay down add start from the right or the left side and have each one pop up. Play always knew that when we were done they get their special treat. Which was ice cream that is made for dogs. It's called Frosty paws.
I love German Shepherds. When me and my wife got divorced she came back and stole my dog Lucy and I never got over the dog😩 Thank You for such a wonderful video.
Dogs are really good to old people. Especially when their partner dies. I think the only way to deal with Grief is to keep loving. Dog or Human, keep loving.
I grew up with goldens and my word, the shedding is off the charts! The slavering too…one shake of the head and you’ve got a big trail of drool all over you. I remember getting one right across my face! 😫 But they’re such incredible, gorgeous dogs you just put up with it. I’ve got two black labradoodles now and they are the same with shedding, it’s mind-blowing. I’ve even found their hair in the FRIDGE - and I don’t let them in the kitchen! I wouldn’t be surprised if I cracked an egg one day and there was labradoodle hair inside, lol. 😂
O my god, the shedding bit is so on point! My all black german shepard lives on one side of the house with me yet his sheddings somehow ends up on the other side of the house, through a perpetually locked door, into my mother's bathtub which he never visits! He doesn't even go in her room! I am not sure if it is sad or hilarious.
I have history with German Shepherds. I even had one that loved to eat apple cores. Another knew it was time for walks whenever I chose to wear a certain hat from my grandfather. There's no other dog breed I love more.
Took my year old GS to do some electrical work on a farm. (Yes, I asked permission) They had cows. Max started hearding them together. Then sat down, like, YES, this is what I'm supposed to do! 😂 Then, after watching the cows grazing, he started eating the grass too. I told him that it's going to make him sick, but he kept eating. Max is tuning 9 years old in about a week. He STILL eats grass daily. Not once has it made him toss his cookies. 🤣
My German Shepherd Samme passed away three years ago.. he was 12 years old, a rescue as a baby from a dump where he was starving and though he and my husband have both passed away now I miss them both extremely.. I know I'll see my husband again in Heaven I'm not sure about Sam and I certainly hope he's there with him.. Sam became an ultra trained service dog for my husband who was Ill with ALZ.
As a matter of curiousity we call German Shepard dogs Alsatians. I have heard of a region of Europe called Alsace, but this is in France. When I was very young, growing up in Lincolnshire, we had a Alsatian dog we called Sabre. But Sabre went away and ( I have it on some authority - my mum`s, as was,) that he was taken into the Police Force ( Dog Section, naturally ) of Northern Ireland. I`ve questioned this with her a couple of times since the 50+ years I last saw Sabre and my mum`s answer never wavered even upon the end of her life - and she never lied to anyone as far as I know !
FUUNY PET’S LIFE my favourite was when the German shepherd was BEHIND the tree 🌳🌳🌳is was so hilarious 😆 😊 I all so like when the German Shepard was watching the television That’s was so funny From KA jacobs Australia Australia thank you for the awesome video
The 7-week-old pup should not have been taken from its mother for another 3 weeks. Yes, it does make a difference. Like all animals, she has a lot to teach them.
COME ON MAN raised four OVER my course of law enforcement and trained each one miss them today have a bunch of HOT DOGS now, think once they pass over the rainbow bridge im going to get another GSD, been lifelong favs lots of work but well worth the time

German Shepherds are the most loyal and protective dogs I know. They devote their entire lives to loving and guarding their families

The dog checking on grandma for talking in her sleep🥹 She must’ve sounded distressed and the poor dog was worried.
