I think I have the RNEG2/RT6 with the version RNEG2.75.C.5. This is different (without SD-Card slot e.g.) in terms of software etc., so I have to find software and maps especially for it?
I have no knowledge about the compatibility of the two versions. I can't comment on what I don't know. Do not try to update if you do not have the version from this video. Only with that version will it work for sure. I did not have the opportunity to test other options.

Zmodyfikowałem też oprogramowanie, bo z opisów znalezionych w internecie do tych map potrzebne jest nowe oprogramowanie. Nie próbowałem nowych map ze starym oprogramowaniem, ale myślę, że Ty też możesz spróbować. Uwaga, gdy włożysz kartę SD z nowymi mapami, po ponownym uruchomieniu systemu będziesz musiał chwilę poczekać, aż nowe mapy zostaną załadowane do systemu. Google translate...
By renaming folder as described in video, the folder structure on SD-card root is; ./database/database/ - is this correct?

There are various dissonable maps on the internet. Even here in the comments there are other maps. I have no idea if any include Egypt.

The same card can be used. After loading the new software, you can prepare the card for maps. I used different cards, I happened to have them at hand.
This is why I want a Tesla - over the air updates! Everything automatic and regular updates & improvements...
All these big OEM car companies know how to make cars, but their software stinks (ever new stuff today).
Unfortunately, not everyone can afford a Tesla. I am currently using this Citroen, which I bought second hand. The standard of living in the country where I live is not really bright.

The software is probably the latest version. If you are looking for maps, there are also newer versions than the one presented here.
Firmware update worked perfect but maps didn’t work, why does anything more than 16gb card not work? Thanks
I don't know why it doesn't work with a card larger than 16GB. These are probably the limitations of the microcontroller used in those days. I also managed to buy a 16GB card with difficulty. It is really hard to find being so out of date. The 8Gb does not fit the new map, and 32 does not recognize the car. Look for a 16Gb card from somewhere, format the card exactly as described, and with a little patience you will be able to make functional maps.
Just an update, I reformatted a 32gb card but did a proper reformat not a “quick” one and it worked for maps

I got a 16 gb card. And renamed the folder, but it says after loading , insert navigation medium
The card must be formatted exactly as described in the video. The files must be placed exactly where it is described in the video. Pay attention to what is written in the video and you will succeed. It worked for me.

I unpacked the folder and moved to sd card.
Changed the name to database. So the folders looked like this:
sd card/ database/ database - plus files
should it be different? should the card be renamed? locked?
It worked great with the update, and i’m really want to succeed with the map. :)

Go to "setup" and then press the 1 + 2 + 3 buttons simultaneously to access the hidden menu. Enter "Settings" and then "System Reset". The system restarts and the map appears on the screen.

Linkul valid îl găsiți printre comentarii. Atenție, dacă nu ați mai făcut așa ceva, nu vă recomand să actualizați! Orice mică eroare din partea dumneavoastră, poate face radioul, ecranul și gps-ul complet nefuncțional! Cum scrie și în descrierea videoclipului, actualizarea o faceți exclusiv pe propria răspundere.

Probabil hartile mai noi nu sunt compatibile cu vechea versiune. Nu pot da detalii despre asta. Nu am testat hartile inainte de a incarca noul software.

Zadziałało dla mnie bez żadnych innych modyfikacji. A teraz korzystam z tych samych map z tym samym oprogramowaniem.

At the moment I have not tried newer maps, although I think that if you search carefully there are great chances to find newer versions. At one point I also had new versions, but for the country where I live in Romania, the maps were without details. For this reason I used this version of the maps,

@@markotrivic3010 I found some more recent maps, but I haven't tested them yet due to lack of time. I don't know if it works or not, or if they have details or not for the area where I live. A simple search on Google, you can find several RNEG variants of the maps, but as I said, only after testing them can we tell if they are ok or not. Újabb szoftwaret egyelőre nem találtam, de térképek vannak. Nekem nem hasznosak, mert országomban nem voltak részletesek az újabb térképek amit találtam. A kommentekben van egy link, újabb térképekkel.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the 2016 version. I found newer versions on Google, but they didn't have detailed maps for Romania, that's why I stayed with this version.
@@LeventeDaradici 2019 is what I have it. Founded on the net and is more detailed for Romania than 2016. But not very detailed. So, I searched and found that 2020 BMW version of maps are best. Not tested yet, I have it no succes on downloading that.

Mogę ci pomóc... Karta SD musi mieć max 16 Gb, sformatowana dokładnie tak, jak wyjaśniono na filmie, i będzie działać. U mnie też na początku nie działało, ale teraz jest ok ... Google translate :)

@@wz4094 Do ładowania map można używać tylko 16 GB. Nieskompresowane mapy nie pasują już do 8 Gb, a 32 Gb nie rozpoznaje systemu nawigacji samochodu. Oprogramowanie można również załadować na dysk flash o mniejszej pojemności. ......Google Translate :)

Osobiście nie spotkałem się z żadnymi błędami. Nie wiem skąd wziąłeś ten błąd. Źle przygotowana karta SD, kto wie...
