when a hand is destroyed by the effect of a hand it will miss timing because the hand that destroyed the monsters effect is still resolving. It says "then" which makes it so the last thing to happen is the summoning of a new hand. If it said "and if you do" it would not miss timing.

hands say pop, then, so it makes the other hand miss timing in a clash. it's kinda like how soul taker makes lightpulsar miss timing or drill warrior makes bottomless miss timing for an edison example.

the last thing to happen when a hand is destroyed is the opposite hand being summoned from deck, making a battle between hands ending with one of them missing timing
