@@apt7prod You can teach skill, you can teach cornering, you can teach tire management. You can't teach respect or dignity or character. Zhou is far from great, but he's a decent enough driver to deserve a spot on the grid. Would be a mistake to get rid of him. If Sauber/Audi invest in him (like RB are trying with Yuki) he has the potential to perform better and stick around a little while.

Not only his home country, but also his actual hometown. Zhou is from Shanghai so it's extra special to him and no one should be surprised at the presence of a significant local fanbase. He's literally their home boy so this is extra wholesome.
Yes thats not everyday you see a driver who is just happy to be their in f1 despite having a slow car most driver would just get mad or angry at the sport and car if they don.t finish p1 or inside the points but not zhou he is just happy
A lot of people don't seem to realise he's the first and only Chinese F1 Driver in history and this is his first home race in front of the home crowd... That in itself is an achievement, regardless of where he finished. Very well deserved to have his own parking spot on the pit straight. Great gesture by F1 tbf.
honestly the chinese crowd was so awesome, they gave huge cheers to so many drivers. Zhou is an amazing driver, I usually root for him a little bit each race because he seems like such a nice dude.
Things might not work out most of the time for Zhou, but none the less we have seen him trying to do his best. And that is enough to inspire us as audiences and fans.
Even though he didn’t get any points, he has one of the jobs that only 20 people on the world have. He’s among the best drivers of the world, and that’s enough to be proud of
Every step he makes will make history amd I'm proud to be a witness of that history. I hope he'll inspire more drivers from our country and maybe one day, we'll have our own manufacturer, too.
From the grandstands to a rookie driver in the UK to becoming the first driver to drive on your home soil in front of your people screaming "I love you". There's not much that gets better than this. The country is so big, the thought of so very many people all cheering on one person, the hopes of a nation, made me nervous. I so wanted Zhou to see the flag, and he did in both events. What a Sprint he had! I cried watching him cry. Sport, eh?
You race with your own land the SANGHAI circuit and you attached a little bit of love from F1❤ with the chinese Community thats a biggest moment and opportunity thank you Zhou❤️🌹 and sad for this i wasnt participate as a fan as SANGHAI CIRCUIT🇨🇳❤️🏎️
At first, I thought he would be an ordinary trust baby who happened to be talented at F1. However, after watching many many interviews of him, he is a very humble, friendly and sunny kid. Hope he get a seat in 2025!
He spent 20 years to walk through grandstands to the grid. Nobody understands how many suffers were experienced by Zhou who was born in a nation yet nobody can guide him to racing
Zhou has a seat because he is Chinese, not because he is one of the best 20 drivers in the world. It’s a smart business decision because he garners so much of the Chinese market fandom. - an impartial Chinese person
As a fan of the sport i'll say this: Zhou not having a seat in 2025 would be a crime! He's got the speed, skill and attitude to deserve a seat in the world's top 20🫡
kinda agree, even tho he is just another midfield driver, but he rarely causes a drama, hit other driver, or crashing everywhere, he also a hardworker. Kinda sad that his team and his pit crew doesn't give him justice
I love how the audience keeps cheering him on even though he didnt get any points

It's not passion, it's blind nationalism. They are taught like that from the youngest age. Not question anything and be proud of China.

I hope so too! Let's hope he can begin to perform better as well.
He wont be on the grid next year
Hopefully he can find some form, his appeal to the chinese market is huge for f1

I hope not, him and Bottas is by far the worst driver pair.

Kind of reminds me of Melbourne 2002, when Mark Webber finished fifth and got his own podium ceremony.
