Lemo’s playing is unbelievable. Pretty cool guitar too!!!
Wow! Surprised me with that tone!
And Michael makes it look SOOOO damn F'ing easy. 😂
Damn son, you amaze me every time you play!
$?
I love that thing. It's like a modernized Guild T-Bird and the colors are awesome.
My thoughts exactly. Guild s200 Thunderbird. I wonder if the Guild people know about this.. LOL
19boris57 maybe they’re gonna sue the Modulus guys like Mark Agnesi does with 99% of all companies in the world right now...
Everything has a close connection!
A Modulus!? Now that’s different
Amazing playing Lemmo!
Wonderful playing as always. You show the guitars off perfectly.
I have a 1982 G & L Night Hawk Strat with that same color and finish, and I love this one. My band did several concerts with the Lovin’ Spoonful in the mid 60’s and John Sebastian was so cool 😎 and had some extraordinary instruments ... Michael, you make everything you play sound magnificent, but this time you really did an excellent job..👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤩🔥🎆✨💫✨🎸
Lemmo's playing amazes me every time
Does Lemmo ever run out of genius riff ideas? They all sound so damn original. Love it.
holy funk this dude can play. Im new to this beautiful channel howdyyy
Do you believe in Magic? When Lemmo plays - there is always Magic!
Modulus junkie here....I have never seen another Modulus baritone. Incredible and inspiring playing!
My pride and joy is my modulus graphite genesis from 98 and to see another mod like mine especially on this show makes me wanna quit my job and just be a guitar player 🔥🔥🔥
I think John Sebastian also played the harmonica on Roadhouse Blues and also the intro song on Welcome Back Cotter !!
I'm a big John Sebastian fan, get him back in the store and make a video
I love how people say baritones are for heavy stuff & metal but they've been used in country music for decades.
That's Lemmo's guitar!!!
@4:32 I am not sure whether I am more in awe of the tone or the playing. Both are unbelievable, and I would love to see you play live, especially if you featured a baritone guitar in your show.
"This Modulus Graphite guitar became known as The Shark. Treat him lovely!"
- John Sebastian
IDK if this is why it "...became known as The Shark," but that upper bout on the bass side looks a lot to me like a shark fin, swimming under your right arm.
That first number is one we've heard several times before on the show, but it sounded pretty sweet on a baritone with that extra thump.
Is it his own or does it have a title?
When you fall in love with a baritone it is for life.
Love baritone guitar! So inspired
“Bartiloni’s”???? Haha Bartolini! Joking aside, I own a Modulus bass from the 90’s and I had no idea that guitar existed! Very cool!
Was it a joke? I think it was a true mistake, he misread the thing... =P ... not a big deal, just saying.
@@AnonymousBosch3158 My "outrage" was the joke... yeah no big deal, I just thought it was funny that's all... cheers!
What an awesome looking guitar! Love the contrast of the aqua versus the purple on the body. A marvelous selection to feature on this episode. And last but not least, Michael's hybrid finger picking prowess is simply out of this world!
Very unique sound...Love it!
😎🎸👍
Wow...sounding great! Thank you!
I have never heard someone playing so good a baritone guitar before
What was the first song that was beautiful
It's a Lemmo original
kokookaaa shame we can’t have access to them all!
He plays it on a Harmony Bobkat here: ua-cam.com/video/RLmUUU-7efQ/v-deo.html
Excellent demo! Great playing, cool guitar.
Wow that’s the best baritone I have heard so far great playing Lemmo n Jen joy shot it shimmering like the colors 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍🎸
Ever heard Pete Anderson on any of Dwight's records?
Really nice Mike. Original and beautiful playing.
very cool , luv that sound , very thumpy and bumpy , but great over all tone , great color too , something a little different for sure , I've seen baritone acoustics but never an electric one , and this one lends it self to the heavy metal sound , grungy and crunchy , just deep and powerful , a niche guitar for sure but very cool. thanks guys.
You could make music for films and commercials man, great stuff!
I've had a number of Modulus basses over the years. Most of them had Bartolini pickups and those are some really great pickups I do believe. With that graphite neck you didn't have you worry about the temp or humidity messing up the action. I didn't have any neck throughs just bolt on. Jeff Gould's specialty was laying up the necks and they were so stable they didn't have a truss rod. Jeff is still making great graphite necked basses for his own company
Oh yeah what a sound, definitely worthy of spending some quality time with.
That was very impressive Lemmo ! Thanks Jen !
Great playing, great sound
Definitely borrowed that body design from the guild tbird, but I can’t say I’m mad about it. Underrated guitar design.
I hope one day we will enjoy a Lemmo guitar instrumental album in his style! :) Would be cool on vinyl too! ;)
Great song selection!
Brilliant Playing ML-I love 'It's no good ' played loud-I see your education has't hurt your creativity one bit !
Cool sound and playing !
aww man that guitar is COOOOOOOLLL
Best Riffs so far! Love that tone! Could you guys do some Acoustic Basses? Also it's 2020 and Lemmo still doesn't have a Bandcamp?! Come on guys!!
The body makes me think of a Guild Firebird and the colour just looks so psychedelic, it looks freaking sick
Pretty unique guitar, I love it. Lemmo can throw down on a baritone
Damnnnn you make it look easy!!! Amazin'!!!!
At last! The Lemmo Podcast.. Can't wait
Awesome
I have one of the last modulus basses before they went out of business. It's the quantum 5.
Nice sound
I love where the switch is located!
Every guitarist needs a baritone
Nice guitar WOW
LEGEND LEMMO!!
Interesting shape. But the sound and tone is unique and very cool. The clean tones are great. The distorted and overdriven tone was wow that’s would make really axe for some heavy death metal sound.
Love the leather Levi jacket Michael haven’t seen them in England, guitars not bad either.
Oh my!
Bartalini makes hexaphonic pickups that have individual isolated pickups for each string. Eddie Van Halen had a guitar with them and he could pan the strings stereo...
No excuses! Have been looking forward to Edibles at Night all year long!
Are you munching?
I took a Washburn Dime Electric guitar and made it a baritone guitar by switching out the neck and now I’m waiting for the strings for it to arrive.
Wow - those guitars love to be played like that by Lemmo!!
awesome
I believe that's what kids today call,...a KEEPER!!! It sounded amazing for being a carbon fibered neck, I was expecting a colder and more shallow tone for some reason. Jen, as usual the shooting is fantastic!!
I think the pickups help the tone, and pairing the neck through with wood “wings” (can’t tell if the top is a full veneer over the wings & neck through or just painted to match) helps.
I wish more bands would incorporate the baritone into their sound. Such a versatile space-filler.
What was that last song he played?
“It is a wood” lol.
France here
Bad ass! 🤘
What's the first song's name?
Cool
What theme is that???
Well..that is just stone cold groovy groovin'..!!
Lemmotastic!
What was the last song?
What!!!! No edibles at night or any food lol. Do a Jen and Lemmo pod cast. WOW!!!! that modulus sounds good. I like the idea that it is lighter and easier to maintain with that fiberglass.
Drink a shot everytime Lemmo says "Umm" in this video.... stoned in 57 seconds.....
No human liver could take that abuse..😝
Stoned from drinking
@@Josh-iw2kw ..he must not be from around here, lol!
or a shot everytime a poster says to take a shot everytime Lemmo says "Umm". We'd be drunk for the last six months.
@@greg7656 or a shot everytime a poster calls out another poster like a bitch ass nigga...
LEMMOdulus
Lemmo rocking.
last song name?
Flea used modulus basses for years. Maybe he still does!
Wow! My fave Depeche Mode song, fuckin wicked, Lemmo 🎸🤟🏻
1978 Saw John Sebastian open for Steve Martin.
I saw the Lovin Spoonful in 1966. They were one of my favorite bands at the time.
Guitar Ocd he was really good. Just a solo show, but carried the stage all the way to the back. Quite memorable.
Well he was the Lovin Spoonful. Back in the sixties we didn't know that. It's like a ton of bands like Creedence Clearwater. Most of the other guys were just props.
@@guitarocd9984 ..man you're old,lol
I meant the shamettes from Sam sham and the Pharaohs. Now that's old.
Hell yeah sic axe 🎸
Mike Lemmo please tell the scale of the baritone guitar 🎸
You need to do an EVH tribute soon. He needs all our prayers.
Kind of has the same “melted candy bar” shape of a Guild S-200 Thunderbird...
I thought the same thing. Kind of funny, in that it was owned by John Sebastian of the Lovin' Spoonful and the group's lead guitarist, Zal Yanovsky, played that Guild model.
Yep..I thought so too
Welcome back.......
They should do Metal guitars, and I would love to see 'em:
ESP, Schecter, Ibanez (even though they have done the RG) and Fender Jim Root models
They should also do other baritone guitars:
Gibson Les Paul Studio Baritone, Ibanez Baritone, ESP Baritone and PRS Baritone
"Summer In the City" may be the best tune without a modern cover. Too cool for school?
Ya know.....I wanted to dislike this Guitar and thought I was BUT, Man she sounds Great! Not to sure about the body shape, but I REALLY DIG THOSE COLOR'S. I'm
also a sucker for Neck through
Instrument's. Lemmo, as usual
you are awesome and JEN.......
WHO LOVES YA BABY!!! Byyeee...
🎸💚
Badazzzzz
DM Yeah!
Buy it!
Robert Ashton soldbto Robert Ashton for $........0

At 10:53 I just realized the back of the couches look like weird happy faces
DEPECHE MODE!!!! TRES COOL!!!! Martin Gore would approve, indeed!!!!
What's the scale length?
The basses were all 35 in the beginning until just before the company went out of business. They came out with the "Flea" bass which was 34in. The guitars they were making were the same length as a Strat. That's what I remember reading in the specs for the guitar they were making for Bob Weir. The company is back in business again
ruffled me awake for sure.
