Love that these agents are honest enough to admit they have been in situations somewhat similar to some of these stories. The debtors need to understand that they can get themselves out of trouble and go on - not without great effort but it is possible!
Since they are wearing masks this must of been filmed during covid 3 years ago
It’s a show they aren’t going to act shady on camera
@@Davmartin-kp1yq whatever gets the job done! Bums need to be held accountable.
Watching the shadow of the cameraman.
The bigger issue is the high cost of everything in UK, causing money shortages with most civilians.
It's more like a stagnant economy and low pay compared to other western nations.
Holy 💩, could they have a longer intro to the episodes!🤦🏼♂️
I know right 😅🤪🫣
There's an intro for the intro
its a tv show brought to youtube mostly every tv show is about 45 to 1 hour
Thanks for warning 😮
Neighbour seemed too quick to grass his former neighbour in 😂
This programme has given me a whole different wiew on pro debt collectors, its just a job, they are nice to the nice and bad to the bad, and their patience and emphathy is outstanding, and if you are owed money, you also would want them back but im also aware that to some debitors see the bailiffs as the ones to blame for their debts and get mad at 😂
Odd that a rental company would accept $100 a month on a $17,000 debt!! That's barely the interest.
Might just be they see that as better than cutting their losses or waiting on potentially catching a valuable asset. Some people have learned how to game the system so well it could be 10+ years before even high Court enforcement can get a decent sum. So some companies will use them to intimidate in order to get any little bit they can. $100/month is still better than $0.
"Freeman of the land" is that the UK version of the US's Sovereign Citizens?
Sure. Take advantage of everything the government provides but refuse to be accountable!
Yes
I should add they also exist in the US it's just a different flavour.
I believe that it is. I thought that here in the US we were the only place with those screwballs.
Gypsies are the same thing
"Freeman of the Land" would be a good band name, I think.
You only go to the back yard in countries that don't allow personal possession of guns. Not a good suggestion to do this in Arkansas.
And in those countries they would also have guns
Pay your bills, they won’t come. 😂😂😂😂
Craziness. You only have a society by considering others. You can’t pick and choose the laws you’ll live by. Otherwise, others don’t need to live by your laws. Then someone can take over your house and take your dog. Then when you complain they can say they don’t follow your rules… 😂😂😂😂
Ure the first to start begging. Big mouth
Ooooo we got a billy bada$$ over here 😂😂😂
Mark and Virgil are hilarious! A great pair!
alex and sherry are partner goals 😂lol so cute
How can someone not be working for a year? That man is a qualified carpenter. Surely there's something he could be working at?
I think these were filmed in 2021. Lots of businesses were closed - UK was hit especially hard with COVID illnesses
Car dealership staff - get off your lazy behinds and clean off the cars. You might actually sell one!
Someone with 2 Range Rovers that cost well over $90,000 sitting in the drive and have trouble paying a debt. They'll be the next debt needing collection.
They dont seem to have as much power as they used to. Before they would force their way in on e you opened the door. Now all they can seem to do is seize cars otherwise they can only knock.
During hight of Covid they weren't allowed inside the houses, I believe this is mentioned in a different episode.
@@dimsims3007 ah I see thanks. Wish the old show can't pay we take it away would come back but lawsuits killed that show. They would do anything to make em pay.
Loved that show!!
A person who refuses to pay a court ordered debt should not have normal rights . Officials should be able to just walk in and seize things till the debt is paid in full .
It's neat that they are great at tracking down poor people who have relatively-small debts that will crush them, but there is an obvious absence of justice against rich people shafting the system and shafting the taxpayers.
Wonder if interest is building under these "payment" plans? Or is interest frozen when collection goes to these guys?
We call them sovereign citizens in the US
Virgil can’t pay but he can ask van Dijk to ask help him
They going to take the man’s tools for his trade so he can’t work it off , WTF
imagine doing this is America lmao
Works just the same in US
The weather there is quite dreadful just saying
Alex 🇿🇦 , that accent is undeniable 😊
I'm not sure about the U.K. but I've never heard of a car getting taken by collectors to settle a debt. Most cars here don't even belong to people, but rather the banks or the car maker finance service, so collectors can't really take something that doesn't belong to them in the first place. If they do happen to take a car, its likely an old crap box that isn't worth very much money. Debt collectors here will hound you for at least 10++ years for anything more than $100 bucks.
"For hire car".. is that a taxi?
I think it's a rental car that you get for a week or two, like on vacation! Here in Canada it's like Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Budget, etc
You need a Much Longer Intro
😂😂😂
these agents in moncler lol they must have been paid good
So what happens to the excess when they sell your stuff for a debt?
They return the extra money.
Where does posh come from? Here Italy.
Did he say "Posh Spice"?
Who is the American enforcer woman? I find that strange
13:50 of course people love their animals over people! Their animals don’t talk back in sentences that can be very hurtful. People do, and often at that.
FACE TO FACE!
The driver who wrote a csr off why just doing payment claim now after sll these yesrs in Spain we insure the cr for amy drivet which anybody can drive your car over 25
From Canada : What's the story in the UK regarding expensive cars ? Yikes in Canada, the insurance will kill you. 😮 🇨🇦
That's why half of the people don't drive with insurance. They take the chance, and figure if they get towed, THEN they'll get the insurance so they can pick up their car.
@investigator77 It is illegal not to have car insurance in Canada. It is an inditable offense, I believe.
@@peterhanssens7260 OK, need to clarify. I can see where I went wrong in my comment. The internet is so hard sometimes! LOL! I was speaking about the UK drivers who don't get insurance because the prices are so high. I'm aware that it is illegal in Canada to drive without insurance, just like it is in the UK. It doesn't stop people from trying it though.
American Bully or Bulldog is another name for Pitbull, I have seen many pitbulls that would not hurt anyone or anything. But some are raised wrong and the owners are responsible
You guys need Bluetooth headphones to stay in contact. When he goes to the back yard I would worry about that. This way you could talk to him while he is in a dangerous situation. Looks professional also.
Some ppl dont owe up anyway
Lots of people having tough times, when your government fails you and gives all your money to corporations with record making profits… What does a cornered bear do, where did the logic in this world go ?
More people not paying their debts because they think they can get away with it.
@penchant1972 exactly this. I've been in rough times where I had to go into debt to help family and keep the bills paid. I worked with the companies, kept them updated, and paid whatever I could manage. They never took it to court because I made the honest effort and they saw that. Eventually got all the debt paid off and never had to stress over court, leins, or wage garnishment. By the time it goes to the high court the debt may have been unpaid for YEARS. These people just dig their heads in the sand hoping it'll go away.
If you can't afford it don't buy it and go into debt. Your choice...live within your means.
@@patriot-ny5el a good motto to live by, but sometimes stuff happens that can be out of your control. Obviously not the case for most of those on this show, but for a lot of people they’re living paycheck to paycheck and one thing such as a car repair, ER visit, etc can instantly cause debt.
The only problem I have with some of these is they strike up a good chat but only to find out that they can take the mans entire way of making money to pay for a dog. Its not really a even trade there, the dogs alive obviously but to take someones tools and everything after theyve gone through covid and pretty much guarantee that they wont be able to work again is just sick. I understand they owe money but some assets really shouldnt be touched. A persons life and well being shouldnt be jeopardized over a debt.
Would you say the same if you were owed the money?
@@darkgalaxy5548 100% I would, if you take away someones ability to sleep, shower, and show up to work then you wont ever get your money back.
Sherry is a very attractive and nice lady!
most people are shite. How the world continues to function I don't know.
USA needs this lol
high court enforcement. QUICK STIX, SPIT SPOT, BOB'S YOUR UNCLE. I love UK lingo. lol, have to turn on cc so I can understand what their saying sometime. No canadian accents.
What the hell is spit spot? You just made that up. Lol
@kairigby9117 nope...Mary poppins
the old bailiffs used to barge into homes-maybe the laws have changed...
They did if the door was left open I don't remember pushing in?
Because of Covid they are no longer allowed to enter homes.
On the other show they used to have a lock smith ready.
During the hight of Covid they weren't allowed to go inside I believe. Pretty sure it's mentioned in a different episode. Also why you dont see any evictions, was a time it was not allowed to stop the spread.
@@freakshowfilmfestival3591Yea for evictions not for repo.
These guys are hand picked scary looking for money
I truly wish we had these laws in the US. Poor people are destroying the rental market. I have over 2 million owed to me because of lazy renters and a court system that doesnt enforce anything.
That may be so,but you have other benefits living in the US. You probably are an immigrant that got low rate mortgage loans and making thousands. If you don't like being a landlord then don't be one!!!!!!
You absolutely have these laws in the US. Renters are a different case, & UK has the same squatter problem
Bring back debtor's prison!
the fact they have to go to high court and pay extra to get their money back is crazy, if they fail to pay than lock them up
Yeah, I'm sure that'll fix it...because we don't have enough homeless and food banks already! Knob
@@gayleralan I know you! are a bum! And an asshole!.
Hugh court fees and bailiff fees are included in the debt!
Then you have what used to be debtors prison back in colonial days.
You can't arrest people for debt in common law countries. That is unjust. Civil matters are civil, criminal matters are criminal, and only in certain cases and by certain methods can a civil matter become criminal.
Do they collect the debts owed by Muslims?
And do the debt collectors go into the No Go Zones to collects debts and cars?
Or are Muslims exempt from these actions?
That is a good question!!!! And what the heck is a No Go Zone in the UK???
There's a few episodes of collections from Muslims
why even make this no one cares talk about a boring ass job that they try so hard to make exciting
Well you're watching it lol.
1 min and a down vote hurts their algorithmic placement it does not help cutie@@donwald3436
They are letting these people take the piss. They believe the bullshit stories way too easily. They arr all absolutely DREADFUL at being debt collectors.
Ohhh the english
it isnt nice being owed money for work genuinely done -- experienced that // when tracked guy down he was living in a huge house two cars in surrey / hi remember me .... cash no cheques thanks .... grrrr
Out of work - paying 200 quid a month - out of his dole money? Guess what? The taxpayers are paying off this debt while he sits on his ass in front of the telly!
This was filmed during the Covid pandemic
Should have laws like this in Canada 🇨🇦
Start with the thousands of dollars my grandchildren’s father owes for child support. Dirtbag!🇨🇦
They do. If you get a court order over a debt in Canada a Bailiff will enforce it.
I had to surrender my vehicle to the bank and a baliliff picked it up honestly I’m happy I did that instead of missing payments and dragging it on I don’t have to pay the 50k owed to the bank but my credit is just trashed as long as I have my credit cards that’s all I care about
Pays not to be asshole to your neighbor
You cannot squeeze blood out of a turnup
Most of these debtors are less like turnips and more like rocks! 14:57
Mosskeeto 😂 what a doll
It should be illegal for car-hire firms to rent vehicles without basic minimum 3rd.-party insurance, incl. cover for the hirer in case of damage that cannot be reclaimed from other insurances. Insurance companies can offer very affordable rates if they have a broad base of subscribers, so rates/day or week should be at common commercial levels. Very few people can afford to pay 17k out-of-pocket, and consumers need to be protected against themselves and uncaring business sharks. Leaving major financial risks on (either naive or unwitting) customers is immoral and reprehensible.
Agree with that. No insurance = No car.
Watching the long introductions gave me a London accent
If they have to call the police for enforcement, then it's not an effective system.
They usually don't need police backup. I think it makes sense that only specific officers can make arrests, not just any government or court officer.
In my country the usa debt has a atatute of limitations.
Is a IVA like bankruptcy, sounds like it
Yep it is. But remember in USA we have some debt can't be dismissed by bankruptcy.
I wondered if it's before a bankruptcy? In Canada we have a Non-Profit Credit Counselling program, that works with you to sort out your finances, and make payment arrangements with your creditors. You aren't technically bankrupt, but for those people who want to at least try and pay their debts, it works well. People end up paying about 20% of the original debt. Sadly it stays on your credit rating for 10 years, rather than 7 for the bankruptcy.
If a bunch of strangers show up and ask me about a previous neighbour of mine, whose license plates I know off by heart - you can rest assured I'm not ratting them off. My neighbours would do the same for me. I would phone my former neighbour and have a chat with them over the phone first before taking the conversation any further. Yet these lot were so keen to tell the agents the whereabouts of their former neighbour and that they owned a posh car.
I think the officers can identify themselves though, or be verified by police. So they are not strangers in that sense...
Maybe he was a real s.itty neighbour
KC drives me nuts.
We all went through hard time, doesn’t apply to those snickers tho. The only thing they had to do is contact them and make arrangements. People don’t understand how much time actually passes before the bailiff knocks on your door. And banks and other lenders usually give you plenty of opportunity to actually get your shit resolved. So don’t come me with “hard times” up my ass. Pay your shit or lose it.
You cant live beyond your means. So many people do that. Sadly.
Wow I see they be picking and choosing who to give more time too
As a fellow enforcement agent I can tell you one thing.... when we say " I don't want to be here" it is 100 percent bullshit. We would rather be out in the field than in the office doing paperwork. We work for the government where there is basically unlimited opportunity to move to other jobs... the people who do this job want to do it, get paid pretty well for it and " Want to be there"
Also these Donuts showing up to collect money in a MONCLER jacket would get me fired in Canada. Get a clue u dummy!!
Question... How much is the government spending on this to be personal debt collectors? What a dumb system.
So they should just let people get away with not paying?
I'm sure the cost of collection is included in the debt total.
Seems like it should be called robbery
I agree, when you don't pay your debts, it's theft.
This is what happens when you disarm your citizens
What? Deadbeats get away with ripping off people?
ya, it's complete financial slaughter of people by those who have the "means" of it.
*Why are they all bald?*
