Hey Thai Girl Gift and Foreigner Joe and your new friends and Kara, a very nice video my friend. It's nice to see a little community of foreigners that can mingle among themselves and the wonderful Thai people in the area. It was good to see Kara again.
Thanks Joe. Nice to meet Mary and Mick. Nice move you guys….and nice camera work, Mary…on your trip with Kara to Hua Hin..(if you’re watching) Great location and great neighbors…ok…c u all on the next one..😊
Love that area and getting to see the scenery, the food and the day to day. We spent five weeks there in late Jan. till the end of Feb. Got to check out our land that we purchased near the train station. Lucky for us it turned out to be a good fit. We love the area. Looking forward to transitioning over when the time is right!
I always enjoy watching another Thai Girl Gift and Foreigner Joe video since it is a regular down-to-Earth easy and fun watch you both share with us. It's nice to see you enjoying your neighbors conversations and goings-on, and nice to see you meeting any new expats in your beautiful beach side friendly fishing village that everyone's getting settled into. Was good to see Kara doing well, and mention of Mike and Niccole's new walking partners who will hopefully keep them motivated to join them on their 5 km early morning walks, too. I've seen videos of Black Betty's new rides and hope Mick and Mary will share their electric scooter stories as well, always good to get/see info from expats in your area, hopefully I'll be one too, depending upon what area(s) I choose to go to for my own near future retirement (hopefully within the 6-month to one year time limit I'm shooting for) in one of the SE Asia countries like Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam or Laos. Will visit each and spend enough time in each to decide which one or two I settle in - it may be 2 so I have a choice where to spend my time. At this stage, I honestly don't want to be limited to simply stay in just 1 place/country. Stay Healthy, Happy and Safe, my friends.
I must be very less tense and less stressful as minimalist. I could not sleep well thinking too much about my possessions. At 10,000 THB/month including utilities is very good considering the location.
I'd love to be their neighbor. I really like that condo/apt. I like how she stated that they left the "BS" of the world behind my thoughts exactly. Very happy for them, enjoy.🙏👍
Hello Joe & Gift! It's nice to see when you walk through your village, everyone knows you. The lifestyle in Thailand is great. I wish Mickey & Mary all the best! Good to see Carol and everyone together at the restaurant with delicious food. Stay healthy and safe brother 🙏.
Great vlog again Joe. I am so happy for Mick & Mary as they look as if they have landed on their feet with their cosy little house. What more do they need! Great that you have so many people for you both to dine with. God bless you all 🙏❤😀
Great video, nice talking with Mick and Mary ,they have nice place to call Home!! Hope the Blue Monkey returns soon, I love watching the Good times there!! Lunch sure Look!!😃🤩👍👍 Have a Great Day!!🙋
@@HC-us5ye The vlogs really helped us a lot in making the decision to move. Especially those that showed every day life like Joe and Gifts channel (and a couple of others) I feel like, thanks to them, we were prepared for the little challenges you face when moving to a new country so it was a lot easier than we expected it to be. Loving life over here in the land of smile. :) The people, the food and everything is awesome! And more affordable!
Hi, everyone, I was just thinking how Mom was doing, Kara, so glad to see you. I would never call you Kara, was just being specific. I am old school, show respect, as a little girl, still do. Enjoy all
Hi Joe and Gift We have been following you since your first few weeks in Bangkok we are building a small private resort in Khon kaen anyway we have decided to stay a week in your village I hope it will be possible meet up Best Regards David and Pairin
Hi David & Pairin, congratulations on building your resort, Khon Kaen is a nice area. Please send us a private message on our Facebook page and perhaps we can meet up for coffee or lunch.
A lot of people are retiring in Thailand because it is just too expensive to live in the West. Rent for a 1 bedroom condo in a big city is 2000usd per month. Rent is just a few hundred usd in Thailand and it comes with gym and infinity pool. Thai foods are cheap, delicious and you dont really need to cook at all.
Thanks for sharing Gift and Joe, that’s the way to live, avoid all the ‘noise’ downsize and just enjoy what life has to offer. Can see how content Klaus is with animals and bikes, who wouldn’t want to spend time in PKK….What a lunch😮
@Thai Girl Gift & Foreigner Joe that very kind of you both. we will go back to Thailand in January and stay in Phachuap Khiri Khan for 3 months thank you for your reply 😊 have a good day 😊
Thanks for sharing , I will be coming to Hua Hin May 26 for 6 days , maybe will visit PKK for a day . Lunch would be great if you are available , sent a email to Jonny to see if he is available for a meal together as well ! Enjoy ...
Our pleasure! Not sure if we will be in town during that time, please send us a private message in our Thai Girl Gift and Foreigner Joe Facebook page before heading our way.
Does anyone know what happens with Medicare if you no longer live in the US? Do you need to still sign up at 65(minimum part A etc) to maintain eligibility or do you get a waiver as you no longer reside in the US?

Hi Joe, this is not even a criticism, but just a reminder you are likely already aware of - I know you ask people how much everything costs to inform your viewers about the cost of living in Thailand, but some people are uncomfortable talking about their finances and I'm not sure Klaus was loving it. Just an FYI to maybe confirm off air with people before inquiring. Not everyone is an open book. Take care. Thanks as always. Peace.
No disrespect, but probably not a good idea to make assumptions in the comment section of our videos. Obviously, you have never been in one of our videos, therefore you know nothing about what goes on behind the seems, including people’s approval the edits etc. Have a nice day.
FYI - I can vouch for the fact that Joe always checks what we are and are not comfortable in sharing. He does a terrific job and only asks those questions to help those contemplating the move figure out what they will need to survive and thrive here. All of the vloggers we have met bend over backwards to edit out anything we don't want answered on camera. A lot goes on behind what you see and the finished product is always only what we all want shared. 🙂

I saw in Chuck video when Kara was getting ready to move to Thailand, she went to the SS office to cancel the medicare.
Medicare does not cover outside the US.
Greetings to you and Gift my friend. $290 a month with all utilities?! I may have to look into this. Will keep you posted neighbor…😂
