Venom is essentially the tank version of Spider-Man, so knowing how well Spider-Man was going to be a dive character with the web swing kit, Venom was going to be the fastest dive tank, and that aligns perfectly with Hammond.

I like watching all my favorite streamers have fun playing instead of being sad
Couple tips. When you’re in practice mode and selecting a hero you can press f1 to see the skills and what they do. And #2 for any swinging characters like spider man and venom you can go to individual hero settings and turn off easy swing mode and it’s way easier to do your swings

@@relativetitan3634I spent most of today trying to main Spidey and now understand why almost nobody picks him. Dude is HARD to play. Imagine OW1 dps Doomfist with Tracers HP.
The destructible environment aspect to the maps actually looks really cool, especially with how there's webswinging for movement.
It's kind of cool, but kind of a mess. Not a fan of things that were destroyed warping back in after a while.... why do that?
@@Bubwars Atleast they are aware about that, there are several sections on the feedback surveys about environment destruction and more specifically about the time it takes them to regen. I do feel like if it took a little longer to regen it would feel better.

You can tell how some of the mechanics from Overwatch kinda carry over into Marvel Rivals, for instance the slam with Venom seems very similar to Wrecking Ball’s slam

I mean they haven't been trying to make it a competitive game so I think it's totally fine. We need more games that are just made for fun and less for competitive. This is the first hero shooter I've seen since early ow to do so and I love it for it.

I was a paladins player who never really got into ow1 or 2 but always liked flats content and I'm kinda rooting for more marvel rivals content on the channel. Also I'm not gonna lie the venom game play chefs kiss. super goofy goo monster is obviously number 1 tank. I'm kinda excited for when this game hits the streets for the masses to get their grubby lil hands on.

that’s from scarlet witch. she drops a sphere on the ground. If you walk into it, it’ll stun you multiple times. Better to just hit the side or use mobility to get out. It’s pretty easy to avoid

I love the fact that melee goes through shield in this game as a mantis player I have messed up one too many magneto and doctor stranges. This game is just too much fun.

Best part about this game is that it truly does depend on how good YOU are, with OW2 they literally catered towards newer players to the point where the game itself essentially had permanent training wheels😢 so it’s nice to see that this game isn’t so meta dependent
I always enjoy playing Venom whenever he appears in a game. It started back in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. He's always so fun! His inclusion here makes me more interested in this game.

I played last night and I was so confused and lost on most characters lol must be how new OW players feel. Venom was an easy pick up though because his play loop reminded me of wrecking ball. Slam in and fight until it was time to pop shields and back out, rinse, and repeat.
Is it just me, or is venon kinda like doomfist? Like kinda dps kinda tank, alt that gets him out of trouble but also does a lot of damage if you hit it.
I’d compare Doom to Magik. She gains shield on combo’ing your enemies. But she can also transform and portal which adds another layer

This game is amazing I love it so much it gives me overwatch 1 nostalgia but this game I am having more fun with honestly the heroes feel fun and it’s wild and over the top like a comic book universe game should feel

I've seen alot of people complain about screen clutter with effects and tbf OW is the exact same, if you know watch/play it you're not gonna know what's happening, i give it 6 months tops until it's at the same point OW is at in that people can identify what's happening and it becomes a non issue
i started playing this for venom and then became a 6v6er
I'm gonna be honest. People say that OW has poor visual clarity, but this game is far worse. It seems more fun to play but man do I not understand what half of what is going on as a spectator, and I know the kits of the characters already.
As a long time overwatch watcher, this gamemode is much more engaging from a third person perspective tbh
I'm warming up to this game but I still feel like they need to work on dialing back the visual clutter a bit. And maybe make the sound design a little better, the attacks don't really sound very impactful (especially Venom's right click).

@@AxRod-r1q maybe. It's always a long shot tbh. Just as likely OW has a Renaissance. At the end of the day a lot of people are very invested in OW and it will take a lot to make them move on. Not saying this game won't be successful but being the reason OW dies is giving it a lot of credit. Plus there are a lot of people who aren't into this super hero shit and find it corny.
They tried with a marvel card game to take over from Hearthstone, failed. Now they are trying with a marvel overwatch copy. Guess what’s gonna happen?
I love the difference of Emongg and Flats marvel vids, Emongg is completely loss and trying everything and then Flats is just unkillable Venom
Really makes Hulk's gameplay loop still night and day compared to Venom's or any other tank
