This is so pretty!! Beginner patterns are super helpful (beginner myself) but the more advanced patterns are so much more fun to see the process of. Love your channel :)))
Beautiful! Such elegance in simplicity, I love that! Being a bloody beginner, I of course like beginner patterns, but the advanced patterns always remind me what I'm trying to one day achieve. Sometimes, you need goals to strive after.
Um hello this new intro is everything!! Love this dress, might have to give it a go myself. I think a balance of beginner and intermediate patterns is good. It's good to try and learn new things but sometimes you just want to get back to the basics :)
i think i like beginner patterns but the projects more advanced that aren’t necessary made into patterns to buy if that makes sense 😅 this is super amazing ive taught myself to sew and am just waiting for the right time to make my first clothing item (right now making lots of hair bows for friends)
So beautifull ,went straight to etsy to get the pattern❤️ even though I’m more on the experienced side , I love seeing well made beginner projects✨ But you also can’t go wrong with a more advanced project!🎀
@@carolyncuesta774 I own an overlock foot, which works fine in most cases. I just find it odd that this is promoted as a "beginner pattern" when most beginners probably can't shell out hundreds of dollars for a serger/overlocker in addition to a sewing machine. I consider a serger a specialty item, not a beginner basic.
@samanthalopate5683 But there's an alternative available for beginners, they can absolutely still make this therefore it's fair enough to advertise it as such. But seeing as she does have that equipment and she probably wants to make the highest quality item possible with the equipment she has available, she has every right to use it.
@@carolyncuesta774the first dress I ever made had a lined bodice! I had almost no experience sewing, I just followed a bunch of UA-cam videos and went slow and it turned out great :)
Hi ! I'm a french beginner in sewing, sorry if my english isn't good ! I just bought this amazing pattern, and I wanted to know the purpose, may I say, of the lining : why do we need to do a lining ? Is it not possible to do a "parmenture" ? I don't know the english world, google translate it as "facing". Thanks ! :)
You could do a facing- though I think that at least fully lining the bodice would give the cleanest finish to this dress because of the neckline and strapless design.
Do you think this patter could be made larger for someone who’s larger than size 14 more like a 18 size with a 46 bust? Will it look good on larger girls?
I think it would look incredible! Imo this is pretty much the most flattering shape dress there is 💖 As for making it bigger you definitely could but I'm not sure how difficult it'd be, it might take some trial and error but there's tons of helpful info around! Helpful search terms might be 'pattern grading' 'how to do a full bust adjustment' (sometimes abbreviated as FBA), or just plain 'how do you make a dress pattern bigger' should get you what you need! There might also be some similar patterns out there that have the size inclusivity you need, and there's also a few videos I've found demonstrating how to draft your own (although it might be less complicated to just modify this one) - search terms for either of those things would be like v waist dress or you might find something under basque waist dress too
So many options. You could do French seams, bias binding seam finish, pinking shears, lining to hide the seams, you could even overcast stitch by hand if you have the time
@@PJCooks I'm sure you can, but it's always best to make a muslin first before using your good fabric. Do her patterns not have shorten and lengthen lines? That's surprising.
JUST WHEN I THOUGHT YOU COULDNT MAKE ANYTHING MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE! U did. 😍😍😍😍
THANK YOUUUUU
I love the beginner patterns as I’m a beginner too, and I really want to learn how to sew.
Love the dress!

I liked the dress ❤ I like a bit of both, simplistic & extravagant

Thank you so much for this beautiful beginners pattern!❤😊
Omg this dress looks great! Love the intro btw 🥰
Thank you so much!! the intro is BEAUTIFUL- the artist, sourviolet, did such an amazing job
Omg seeing this just made me think about the kendal white dress!!
Hope one day you'll make a tutorial ❤
❤Thank you, you helped me to know many things.
Love it!! How many yards did you use for that one vs. the full bridgerton dress??
Super cute , super easy! Thanks ❤
Loving the new intro! so adorable ❤
very very helpful! THANK YOU!!!

ah thank you!! hope you like it!
Very pretty dress.
We looooovveeee beginner friendly 🖤🖤🖤🍒✨
What type of fabric is this? Would you be able to also link the fabric? Hope I’m not asking too much 😅
Awwwww...so cute..❤
How many beginners own a serger as well as a sewing machine, though?
You can use a zig zag stitch

Good point! I’m a way beginner and honestly as soon as she mentioned lining I knew it wasn’t going to happen for me :/

Could you make a dress with a cute turtle neck, you can choose any kind of dress you want but make it aesthetic and classy!!!❤
The way I learned how to properly hem after years of sewing in this video😂
you explained it very well but nevertheless this is not really beginner friendly, more like advanced..
Love it! How could I make the neckline a bit higher?
Just raise the center front bodice piece by however much you'd like!
@@KianaBonollo awesome thanks so much!

Ok, thanks for your response ! I can't wait to try your pattern ☺️
Lovely! ❤
Do you have a pattern for it? I absolutely need this dress in every color possible 😍😍😍😭😭😭
Do you have a link for the hemming tool you used? I could just be blind and missing it lol
Can you make a pattern for a basic two dart bodice with vertical darts in the front? I'd buy that
Can I make it midi or mini?
Do you think this patter could be made larger for someone who’s larger than size 14 more like a 18 size with a 46 bust? Will it look good on larger girls?

Hey can you please make jasmine stitch heart crochet bag complete tutorial and l am big fan of yours crochet handwork ❤
For your red carpet dress you added a tier at the bottom to make it floor length. Was that just a really long rectangle shaped piece(s) of fabric?
Do you have a corset pattern?
Advanced patterns✊🏼
Just out of curiosity - why finish the armhole with bias tape and not sew it like a fully lined bodice (sewing right sides together and turning)?
Won't the excess fabric feel uncomfortable
@@Ksure-e1q But the fabric is already there. I'm just curious why it's not finished with for example buritto method, but adding additional bias tape.
@@zochakubrak good question. I think it would also look more high-end that way.
Can you use any fabric for this dress?
Did I hear no trimming or overlapping the pattern paper 😍
Slaty can you make next time a full blown big gown
question!! i dont have a serger, is there anyway i can mimick the effect of a serger with a regular sewing machine?
A zig zag stitch or a fake overlock/ overcast stitch depending on your machine. But it should definitely have the zig zag stitch
Can it be made without any lining? I have terrible luck lining up the lining & outside fabric.
can i just do the top? or would it look weird? 🤔
Wont look weird but add a small balloon sleeves as well and choose the printed fabric like floral or something
Love! How did you make the bias tape?
cut strips from your fabric at a 45 degree angle from the selvage edge
1:54
the name of fabric used?
What do you do if you don't have a serger?
You can make a zigzag stitch on edge
It won't look as professional but it will help prevent the fabric from coming apart.
There are machines that have overlock stich
So many options. You could do French seams, bias binding seam finish, pinking shears, lining to hide the seams, you could even overcast stitch by hand if you have the time
My favourite is french seams, but if I'm feeling lazy, I just do a zig zag stich or use pinking shears. It depends on the fabric though.
kiana do you press open your invisible zips before sewing them?
100000%
Which fabric?
Where is the pattern released?
What is the name of your sewing machine?
