Bath is my home, I live just a road away from the apartment you stayed at. So amazing to see your take on our beautiful city. My husband and I love to sit in a coffee shop right by the Abbey and watch the tourist enjoy the sights. Thank you for visiting and sharing your experience.
@ Mjölk the one right by the Abbey, outside seats, usually get the ones facing the Pump Rooms, best tourist watching spots. Mokoko however have the most amazing pastries.
Absolutely yes to Princess Diaries 3 and this was such a refreshing vlog. Really looking forward to exploring the UK in the near future - taking notes :)
Love the Princess Diaries reference - I also yell "Get off the grass!" anytime there's an immaculately manicured lawn! Also...Kate & Anthony all the way.
I like all these videos of people exploring my country it gives me hope and inspires me to get out and do some of this stuff myself…Keep them coming and I’ll keep watching and liking!!
1. Roger is hilarious. 2."Don't disrespect my culture!" LOL 3. Sarah, since England is your New Zealand, which region/city is your favorite? Have you been to multiple regions? It would be fun to see a road trip throughout England as a video some day! 4. Bath looks beautiful, thanks for sharing!
Roger is so funny! Anywhere in the countryside where we can have our own little stone cottage honestly. We road tripped through the Cotswolds. (That will be next week's video), but we would love to see more though. Heard amazing things about York and the coast. Few people also said Wales is worth a visit, too. If we either get or rent a van, I'd love to take a summer and just go all over the country.
I’m 41 and never been to Bath or half the places you visit just been in London and surrounding areas apart from Norfolk Where i have family and Lake District for holiday when I was young
Ooh, now you've put Bath on my bucket list! And I'm getting Cotswold vibes from the previews (they were already on my list). Also, Colin & Penelope forever! And wow, Tony, you look so different without a beard!
Loving it! Netflix just does enough to keep us around. Every time we consider cancelling, another show we want to see drops. This time around it's the new season of Squid Games
When I travel, I like to have a few "gotta see" things planned. But I also like a fair amount of "wandering time." You know, poking around and exploring the non touristy stuff. So fun!
Usually, how we are too. If we have a few days, that first one is always the day where we just wonder or find a local guide. Then we do the "touristy" stuff we want to do
Ah Bath is my home and place of birth! So glad you enjoyed your visit. We are blessed with some amazing restaurants though, and you ended up at the Westgate of all places :P
Love this omg. So 1 of my cousins lives on Argyle St. In a flat in Bath. Awesome video. I really need to go see my family. Loving these videos. Beans and toast ...mushy peas love it🙌🏻 😘😘😘😘✌🏻🌹
Georgian Terraced houses are often all different inside as all the frontage was built first so potential buyers could see the street layout, the rest of the house was built once sold off plan, often resulting in the buyer making changes to interior layout. One problem was that often the frontage separated from the rest of the house as not keyed in properly. Cowboy builders doing things on the cheap existed even back then.
Fascinating insight into the history of Georgian architecture! It’s amazing how much the design process has evolved over the years, and how some things stayed the same. There's always someone cutting corners.
A couple random thoughts: Bath always reminds me of Jane Austin movies. I forget the name of the one that takes place there. But it’s fun to see the backdrops in real life. It’s actually a lot more beautiful than I thought it would be. Do you have a video that is more of a Q&A? I would love to hear a little bit about your childhood and how you met and fell in love and started traveling together. I started watching you guys on the daily drop videos. And now I’ve been going back and watching your old ones because I enjoy them so much! PS - sorry Tony, but I already miss the beard…😂
I don't think I've ever seen the movies, but I read the books in college. It's gorgeous though. Next time we do a Q&A video we'll ask around for questions. I'll probably remember this one, but just in case ask it again when we start asking around for questions. Oh, and don't worry about the beard. It was only temporary. Too much gray was coming in, lol
@ You guys are awesome! It would be cool if you were able to do a small travel group or a couple meet ups. Although, as a fellow introvert, I think I would be pretty overwhelmed, lol! I just love to be able to hang out a bit . For now, I will just be a supportive fan.
@@melissamoeller9608 We've had this exact conversation with other friends who have done group trips. Part of us thought our social battery would overwhelmed pretty quickly, but someone explained that it would be fun to attract like-minded people. Plus, we can set it up to have free time outside of planned activities. Long story short, we are leaning toward doing one once it's reasonable within our budget.
We share a different opinion on them. Sara doesn't like them. I think they are fine. Probably prefer them over regular peas. (That said, I wouldn't go out of my way for peas as a primary vegetable) I compared them to the taste of black-eyed peas
Kate and Anthony are my favorite season of Bridgerton ❤
🙌

Oh, which coffee shop? We hung out at Mokoko Coffee (I think that was the name) to catch up on some edits our last morning in Bath

Right!!!! And thank you. We had such a fun time in Bath for just a day of exploring

Haha, sometimes a lawn just looks too good to step on. 🙌 for Kate & Anthony
This is fabulous. I think you two should live 6 months in New Zealand and 6 months in England, a duo of home bases!
Yes! If we could afford that, I would do it in a heartbeat, lol
This is my kind of travel day!! Just getting lost and experiencing the city. ❤
Exactly! A manageble lost, lol
I like all these videos of people exploring my country it gives me hope and inspires me to get out and do some of this stuff myself…Keep them coming and I’ll keep watching and liking!!
Thanks for watching!! Loving the more rural parts of England.

Now need to add Bath to the list of places to visit! Great video!
You won't be disappointed
It really is a charming city!
What a Lovely couple, I hope you had a nice time in Bath I've not been in years , My go to City is York in Northern England. It's beautiful.
We've had a few people mention York and it's made us add it to our road trip list for when we come back
I’m 41 and never been to Bath or half the places you visit just been in London and surrounding areas apart from Norfolk

Bath is awesome, but London has its perks too. I hope you check out Bath someday-it's like a mini vacation from the city vibe!
Hay guys just found your channel thanks for coming to Somerset and bath . I love bath
We did too! Thanks for watching our video
Ooh, now you've put Bath on my bucket list! And I'm getting Cotswold vibes from the previews (they were already on my list). Also, Colin & Penelope forever! And wow, Tony, you look so different without a beard!
haha it won't be a look that stays. Bath is definitely worth a day trip if you visit the Cotswolds.
You can tell Sara is in her happy place. I cancelled my Netflix a few months ago but Bridgerton is one of shows that I will miss.

the familiar burp took me out cos I get it lolol
lmao you know!
I loved princess diary. My favorite Bridgerton is Queen Charlotte and King John. I think that’s his name. That one was so funny.
Big fan of Queen Charlotte too 🙌
Ah Bath is my home and place of birth! So glad you enjoyed your visit. We are blessed with some amazing restaurants though, and you ended up at the Westgate of all places :P
Bath is beautiful. We weren't on the hunt for any particular restaurant. We ate at The George when we first got to Bath and that was amazing as well
@@susdavy2248 what would your favourite be? Ours is Pintxo.
@@Jo-mz4li Pinxto is one of my faves! Solina is a great new pasta spot, we also love Noya's Kitchen!

That's so cool! It's such a lovely city, I bet they love it.
@TheDetourDuo it's where their jobs are close by. Very costly.
I’ve been to London a couple times but never ventured to Bath. Will add it to the list. Thanks for sharing! ❤
You should! Thanks for watching
when I told my fiancé about the new princess diaries he had the same reaction lol I was pumped
they don't understand how massive that news is, lol
First, Princess Diaries is Top Tier!!! I’m so excited for a 3rd. Now Bridgerton, I have to say Queen Charlotte pulls sum strings for me.
Haha! I can't argue with that! I'm really looking forward to it too.

Awe that cow at the end was so cute lol❤🎉
It was trying to open the gate with it's tongue 😂
Love the video! will be going to Bath in January so thank you for all the tips! What is the name of the song at 13:22?
It's called Mexican Jackpot by Flagship. We license most of our songs from Musicbed, and that one is one of my favorites.
I like season 2-3 leads, but I got started with Queen Charlotte and King George
Queen Charlotte is a boss!
Bloody hell £ 13 for two pints! It's a Lot cheaper up North.
We got to find your watering hole. £ 6.50 a pint was some of the cheapest we found until we made it to our last pub in Edinburgh
@TheDetourDuo J.D Wetherspoons got them all over the Country. Does Food .To be honest not Restaurant Quality. But plenty Beers Cask / Craft beers .
Ah ok. Spoons has been brought up a bunch. Must be solid

Beware -the beans in UK (inc Heinz) have a different recipe to elsewhere, so it might not go if you replicate it back home
yeah, we knew it was some sort of tomato paste. Didn't know it it was Heinz though. They definitely taste sweeter. Just have to find the right brand
