I dont think so taking few islands will help us anyway, already we have a lot of islands in Andaman nicobar and lakshadweep, if we can utilize them to the fullest potential that itself is a good thing. Instead we should keep maldives in hand, this happens with mostly every nation, one govt comes into power for some propaganda, then oin the next election people realise it was a mistake made by them, and the old govt comes back.. so ya its just a matter of some time.

A suggestion, but could you add organizations like Nato, GCC, into the Chavda Index of Power. Many a times, different countries end up acting like one with aligned foreign policy hence increasing their overall power index. Or we could have a separate index suggesting each countries influence in these types of organizations and the reach of these organizations. We could also add countries that identify as similar cultures like the turkic nations of Anatolia, Caucasus, and central Asia.

I think Debt relief should be done on some conditions because not giving debt relief would not be a sane decision. MEA should use this as an opportunity to put across some conditions to put muizzu in his place.
India should not long to strive hard to make relations with Maldives best by throwing more money. It should do serious business only with all the way China, US do.

Agreed, if Maldives wants Economic aid fine we can do that, we can defer the payment date but with increased interest rates provided they give proper reasoning that why they want/ need this aid.
