I miss Nickelodeon Studios and the original Universal Studios Florida attractions. Also at 11:05, that was the studio tram tour cart that took guests around back stage areas. The team tour last until the mid 90’s.
I'm going to Florida next summer with my family for vacation, and I'm sooooo looking forward to going! One of my priorities is seeing the old Nickelodeon Studios building
Just came here from watching someone elses video from September 1990. You can see it's a bit more packed with people, especially outside the studios, but it's still amazing to think this is still pre-Nick Toons.
Uh wait so let me get this straight, you were there in 1992, and 2000? Cool! I went in 1990/1991 and in the 2000s and 2005. I went in April of 2005 15 days before they closed. So me getting to get one last final tour of the studio was kinda weird. It was just the escalator room and then game lab, that was it. The tour ran for 15 minutes long. It was kinda limited on decor, But still had a good amount, there was only 7 - 4 employees working there I believe . When the tour was over I took a picture in front of the green painted building (the splat paint job) and got a picture of me in front of the staircase. I came back in late 2005 to see that they had vacated the building months before. I even got to go around the back and since the door was unlocked I got to take a look inside the main hallway, I didn’t explore the whole studio cause I was afraid I’d get in trouble, but I got to get through the main hallway and see some of the decor they had abbandoned, it was so quiet and kinda dark but some lights had been left on. I walked out cause I knew I wasn’t suppose to be in there. Thank you for making this video.
@@jamesKI4JKV You welcome! Yes it was quite creepy being in the main hallway, I saw spongebob painted on the wall, and I peeled open a door that led to the slime kitchen area, There was Nickelodeon decor on the walls with abbandoned monitors along with the colorful wall paint. There was a door to stage 18 and I did peak inside. This was before BMG and I just saw this big bright light with a bunch of Nickelodeon props like cameras and sound equipment used in the Splat I beleive. But I ran out at the last second cause I knew I wasn’t allowed in there. Luckily nobody saw but it was a big break! Thanks for the amazing video, you deserve a sub!
near as I can figure from memory and with help from Google maps, it was either Turkey Lake, Hollywood or Universal Blvd from maybe the main drag hwy 400. This real estate is now occupied by the Islands Of Adventure. We made a left there and went all the way down that road straight to the parking lot. that sure was a long time ago.
even though i was born in 1992 seeing this now a days its just sad, how nickelodeon studios got shut down in 2005 :( theres two videos on youtube where two former all that cast members explain why nick studios in florida should reopen plus i never got to go to nick studios growing up as a kid
I'm not sure what they were filming in the studio. I'm just glad I was able to go through there and more importantly found this lost tape after moving twice. thanks for watching-james
During their tour in 1999 I got to see the wild thornberrys murals with the walls painted green, they looked newer then they did in 2012. I’d say the studio was the most detailed with decorations in 1992 - 1997. Before they sold off a bunch off props.
What were they filming? When I went back in 90 or 91, they were filming welcome freshmen and hi honey I'm home. Another time they were getting ready to shoot nick arcade. I sat through a taping of Weinerville and slime time live in the later years, but that was as nick studios was dying a slow death
Atomic Spiderman A lot of things are crap now because people focus more and more on technology and less and less on talent. I plan to run for president of the United States some time by the end of the 2020s and show people how I have managed to consistently wise up like technology has. The main point people easily miss is that all of a person’s real power comes from his/her/their brain because that’s the most complex organ, but people typically don’t tend to treat it (meaning the brain) that way.
The 90's. Pre-social media. The most prosperous decade in American history. Can we go back in time?
Sure we can go back in time. Just call up Dr Brown and have him fire up the DeLorean. Lol. Ps make sure I am there with you. Never got slimed as well.
This footage is incredible. Not until now has footage this early and this detailed from Nick Studios ever surfaced. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Dude, you do not know how happy I am for posting that part with Nickelodeon Studios.

oh yeah, good times indeed. I guess things need to change to stay fresh and keep up with progress. Miss those days, thanks for watching!
That was on the side of soundstage 18, where the blue man group is, or atleast was.
12:50
OMG, you can hear the Double Dare theme outside of the studio!!!! This is so sad to watch years later:(
"We like your families, but they're yours!"
Great reference to the Roundhouse ep: You Can't Fire Your Family
Great video! Thanks for sharing. I miss Nick so much.

I can't believe I was 13 in '92
Shows taping around that time were clarissa, double dare, eurekas castle, lunch box
This is awesome footage! So cool to see Nick studios. They still use it for Grinchmas, but I'm not sure what else.
I'm not sure but it was so fun back in the day, thanks for watching

AWESOME that you got to see all of that in various stages before and after LOL. thanks for watching

Went to Nickelodeon studios when i was 9 in 1993 at universal studios Florida with my family 🍿
awesome! thanks for watching
And if it looked like the Gullah set, it might have been the clarissa set. Gullah used that set after clarissa wrapped. Clarissa shot from 1991-1993
I'm not sure what they were filming in the studio. I'm just glad I was able to go through there and more importantly found this lost tape after moving twice. thanks for watching-james
I ran away from home and hitchhiked across 6 states to go to Nick Studios when I was 10
If this was 92, it def wasn't Gullah. They didn't start production til 94. It was prob roundhouse.
What were they taping at Nick Studios, and before the Wild Thornberrys mural it was all white
What kind of camera did you have very lucky to have stereo sound in 1992 that was still a luxury in cameras then.
Were you using sony hi8 or video 8?
it was a big heavy clunky Panasonic when everyone had the small 8mm LOL thanks for watching
@@jamesKI4JKV I remember those as well were you using full size vhs? I also went to nick studios but did not have a camera wish I did when I went.
oh yeah @@stpworld full size with 3 batteries I wish I would have taken it more places back then
it was part of admission to Universal Orlando. Man, that sure was a long time ago.
Now that I look closely at it, it looks like they were filming or dismantling the set of either Gullah Gullah Island or Roundhouse (
good eye, I'm not sure what all they were working on, I was just excited to be there
This is 2 fuckn dope i wish they didnt tear nick studios apart 😢😍😒
Of course they did, I know a lot about it. But unseen parts of the studio like the escalator area before the Wild Thornberry's mural came on

12:41 to 13:15. Nickelodeon Studios Exterior and the Slime Geyser
good stuff, thanks for watching
I'm not sure what it was. Back in the day, they did a lot of production stuff there.
no problem, glad you enjoyed it.

i wonder what show is being taped at 14:48
I'm not sure. back then they did so many. Thanks for watching
It was January, people were wearing light jackets
5:28 And this was way before “Drake and Josh”
I put up a longer cut of slime geyser
What month did you go in 92?
