I am a former University lecturer (Australian, born in South Africa) and am older than your parents, but I stand in awe of you young lady, Laura. Your communication skills are superlative. What's more you really know what are talking about and you make every presentation interesting and inspirational. Thank you for not being a drama queen, but rather the queen of gardening! Your presentations provide my wife and I with daily enjoyment and admiration for you and your whole household. Our disappointments occur only when the video finishes. Great work.
I am an English Lady. Aged. Laura is a Special person with Aaron they are grounded Nice normal people with Qualities, developed since making their videos 9 years! True nature of love, fun.Hard work, knowledge on their specific subject. Which makes for the amazing success they have today.
I understand what Aaron meant when he said you knew what to say in social situations and I see it in your Mom too. I think it's your deep-rooted kindness and willingness to help when you speak to people even thought you might feel a bit uncomfortable. You have the best kind of good manners by wanting people to feel at ease and comfortable. We see it in all of your extended family :)) Good people
The Aaron/Laura conversation about men vs women explanations @42:00 cracked me up. I’m definitely on “Team Laura” and totally understand her frustration when interrupted by Aaron and not allowed to finish while explaining something. Hang in there, Laura! You’re not alone.
I love when they have these conversations. The differences they are talking about, that Aaron thought were gender-related, are called "Thinking" and "Feeling" in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and he is right that there is definitely a gender bias in this area, where men don't want to waste time talking (Thinking types) but get to the point, but women want and need to have time to explain in detail what they are saying (Feeling types). To be clear, women can be Thinking types (I am, which is why I get what Aaron means) and men can be Feeling types, but typically it's the other way. Also, BOTH types think and feel, but it has to do with which one is your preference. I find it a fascinating subject, and it has really helped me understand people better and get along with them. As a high school science teacher, it has been very helpful in teaching my students how to work together in lab groups; when you objectivize the types' characteristics, there's less drama associated with it, so fewer hurt feelings and more understanding of differences.
JOYOUS to see and hear you and Aaron together. So authentic. Laura, I believe you strive for excellence, which is different from perfection. And, THAT'S A GOOD THING! Just LOVE your recaps. A MAGNIFICENT way to start our week!
Total discourse: I fully and totally understood Laura's explanation of the Koi. I KNEW what she was saying the first time. My brain must work the same way. Good job Laura! :-)
Yeah, I didn't have any moment understanding what she meant during the original video. I thought she was totally clear. She is always sure to choose the right term/species when talking about the fish. She never clumps the shark in like it is the same as the rest.
Me too! I am always misunderstood and I wondered why. This conversation about “explaining things” hit home!!! I’m totally with Laura! 😂🤣 I like telling my stories.
Thank you, Aaron and Laura for honest titles and thumbnails. A favorite UA-camr of mine just lost much respect from me for her first blatantly misleading click-bait title. I was so disappointed in her and hope it was just inadvertent and won't recur. I have no worries about you guys doing that kind of thing. Your honesty and authenticity is a big part of why I'm here. Love you guys. (Also, laughing at Ken's insert of the teenage redwood on its phone. 😅)
I get the impression lately that UA-cam is going thru some issues. Can't really explain it, but I've noticed people really almost begging for likes, subs, etc. I think there is big pressure from UA-cam for creators to perform well lest they be de-monitized and/or become invisible to the algorithm gods.
I agree - I didn’t know what click-bait and misleading thumbnails were until I started watching other channels. It’s really annoying and I’m so glad GA doesn’t do it.
You should podcast these recaps. Your banter, charm, wit and knowledge could entertain another gardening audience. I look forward to seeing what Laura's up to every morning. Love you guys.
"I AM chill!" with her hand on her hip... I had to laugh outloud. Yet I totally agree with Laura; and with Aaron as well. It is one of the ways genders communicate differently and it took me years to get it, but it can still be frustrating! Love you two and the banter!
Husband watching with me over coffee this morning. Hilarious! Loved the banter over “men” and “women “!!! Dying! After 43 years we still have these observations and this was so cute!!😂😂😂❤
Communication is so hard!😫 Not to mention tone, dialect, slang…🥴 I appreciate these conversations because they make me feel more sane and happy I’m not the only one with these frustrations. 😊 Edit: This is one of my favorite episodes with the back and forth between you two.
Baby Redwoods are a little spindly at that age- surprising considering how tall they get. The tree you received as a gift looked exactly like a redwood to me. They love water and ambient moisture, and also do best with other trees nearby that hold/share moisture (eucalyptus comes to mind). If you plant more trees close to your new redwood I would add other thick evergreens that share moisture. PS- 3 emitters for the redwood until his taproot finds your watertable. ❤🌲🐿
I was going to mention that also - saw some young redwoods online (amazon has them for sale) and they looked like the young tree given to Laura and Aaron.
@16.40, Just have to agree with Aaron about this, (no surprise at all there). The gardener's challenge is not so much the growing of plants, but highlighting them in their best moments and figuring how to mask them at times when they aren't shining. Layering is key. Tulips with Daffodils, add Allium and Columbine to follow, plus Lilies, Echinacea, Rudbeckia and Cosmos to carry the show, all tucked in together. This is how I am trying to solve the difficulty of sad-looking fading tulip leaves. I realize you have endless space compared to the gardens I care for, and that makes for a very different effect. Small gardens can be more jumbled together, but grander gardens require a quieter approach in the planning. I cannot express how much I enjoy seeing your gardens evolve and listening to you talk about all of it! Love you guys so much! I learn so much from both your channels!! High Fives! Thank You Both So Much!! 🙏🦋💐
I appreciate that Laura almost never comes across like she’s talking down to people. I get there’s a lot of new gardeners out there, but many garden/homesteading You Tubers think their mission is to teach and so they frequently do come across as very condescending, especially to those of us who have been gardening decades longer than they have. I don’t think these You Tubers intend to be condescending, but they have the mindset that they have been gardening 5, 10 years, perhaps a little longer, and are now experts and that their audience are all newbies who are ignorant so they present things that way. Which, for someone who’s in their 6th decade of gardening can be very off putting. I think, in addition to new gardeners, a larger percentage of the audience than they realize are people who are at least as experienced as they are, but maybe don’t have the physical ability to do as much as we used to do so are getting our gardening fix assuaged in part with videos . Anyway, I am glad Laura doesn’t come across this way. 😊
If you’re commenting on information, I want it all, that’s how I learn and I’m sure there’s plenty of other people out there that are new gardeners and most of this stuff is new to them so just keep on the way you are Laura I love it. I love you both the way you talk back-and-forth explaining things, so just keep on keeping on. I understood about the fish the first time I heard it I don’t know why it’s a mystery.
🌾Thank you @ellengresham3540 for your question about the koi. I bet you did not imagine that question would generate such an interesting dialogue amongst them two. I love how Aaron picks up on some subjects to get Laura charging. That was 5 minutes and 14 seconds to answer your question and we learned a lot about both of them. They were truly meant for each other. Aaron, I loved your illustration using Michaelangelo. You had me laughing. I truly enjoy and look forward to these Highlights!! 😊🌿🌾
Loved Aaron's compliment, 'it's okay to be a perfectionist when you are talented'. It is a pleasure to watch your vision come to life for your home and property. You are talented indeed!
Laura, you are very intelligent and articulate. Never doubt that! Your explanations are clear and concise. You always choose the right words and that makes watching the show so enjoyable. Please, please keep being you. Love, love your videos.
🎃Good morning Aaron, Laura and all GA friends. A great recap for sure, especially the part about the “extra Koi”. Benjamin calling for “Minecraft” time was so cute, reminds me of my nine-year-old twin grandsons and their little brother who is 5. So funny about your “loud” water heater. You are all my entertainment channel for sure (meant in a good way!). Enjoy a great week and happy Halloween everyone 🎃🍂🌻🍁🧡🎃
Oh my so loved your interaction in this video. Thanks Aaron for the advise I will shoot straight to the point when conversing with men moving forward 😂😂😂❤
Aaron just gave me an old memory, my Grams had the most amazing beautiful Holly hocks, she told me 😢 I had said why they look so sad, Grams told Me; they need there calming to too recharge, refresh new Blooms... Thank U for all details, Smiles, Laughter and Joy's ❤ Ur Space's are really Beautifully ❤😊 Grams would hv been watching this channel too, and Prayers for patients with all Ur Wonderful New Beginnings Beauties ❤ 😊
You're not alone in waiting to renovate and living with what you have!! My husband and I bought a home during Covid knowing it's a fixer and excited to shore it up from soup to nuts. But...here we are, a few years later, still living it just as it is! Leaky windows, settling cracks, floors that were not installed correctly. No central A/C. I could go on. And yet we love it. No it's not the fanciest, most up to date home and we'll get around to making it our own. But like you guys, everything works (more or less) and it's actually nice and cozy around the fireplace this time of year. There's too much other stuff in our lives right now. We'll get to the house. I'm sure you will too! Love you guys.
A little late watching this but I had to laugh when they were talking renovating their white bathroom!! LOL Our house just turned 100 years old and we have lived in it for 34 years. We just reno-ed the upstairs bathroom and part of the living room under it due to a leak problem. Our poor contractor!!! What is this?? WHY??!! did they do that?? WTHeck!!! with just about every step!!! But he did do a fantastic job and it's beautiful now!!!
I so love these recap videos! I love to see the banter between Laura and Aaron and your viewpoints towards the projects you are tackling, individually and collectively. It is the icing to the cake for me of your channel!! 😂🤩👏🏽
Loved this! When you were describing the bathroom, I was laughing. I feel your pain. Too many years for this woman. Hoping to finally redo it next year. It's a disaster to keep clean. Older homes have their own unique problems. When you think you are about to make a move, something like your furnace needs replaced. It's life.
Okay, Laura, a couple of things. I WANT TO SEE THE WHITE BATHROOM. My old house has been "in-progress" for 15 years and I have those ugly spaces. I will feel better if I see yours. ;-) ALSO, your description of the hot water heater in the wall that makes knocking noises -- That story may have cleared up a past mystery for me. Many years ago, I was alone at work in an old building, and heard knocking like that, like someone rapping on a door. I was so startled and scared! I have always wondered what that was, and now at least I have a viable explanation, rather than ghosts. LOL! As for husband jumping in and interrupting ... mine does that all the time. He anticipates what I am going to say, and is usually wrong. Haha.
I love how these recaps have the banter between you two. It's one of the best bits, imho. Today's banter was particularly entertaining. Plants and gardening with a bit of personality and relationship analysis on the side -- so good! Oh, and the bathroom situation: it's great to hear how normal your house is. 'Too busy to renovate' speaks to many of us, I'm sure!
We 100 % live like that Aaron! We live in an old house that we inherited so we can NOT complain...BUT...The house WAS a Summer house/ holiday house used by various generations so...Let's say things that were done were 'fixes' at the time or considered 'cute or quirky' for those ancestors whose pockets were deep enough to be amused by it for 3 months out of the year. Here is what we have done over the past few years until we can afford Aesthetic reno (because now we do plumbing, roofing, water heater, new septic etc) Paint, SOME builder quality things etc. I repainted the ENTIRE kitchen (counters and all) in one shade I love, bought a new smaller fridge and new kitchen taps and handles/pulls. It looks SO MUCH better and was easily under 500 dollars. We covered old linoleum (not nice old fashioned kind but 70s vinyl) with inexpensive ahdesive flooring that LOOKS like wood in a bathroom. Not permanent, but I can't tell you how it lifted my spirits to the point that I taught myself how to install a new cute old fashioned sink to replace the hideous 70's version. It's funny what you will put up with when you think "OH when we do ALL of this Later" and then you just move on. For us, we Love the history and the view (we don't love the taxes we live in TAXachusetts lol) and we embrace the positive. I think many people LIVE with the bad and wait for the good. Very relatable, this.
Yes Aaron!! We lived with something similar to what you described the "white bathroom" is for 10 yrs!! We finally found an awesome contractor & did a total gut renovation to the tune of $20k but we absolutely love it with no regrets! We did high end finishes with carrera marble & solid birch vanity, polished porcelain tile in walk-in shower with custom glass doors...just do it when you can you'll be so happy you finally did!! 😊
I have an avocado green tub, toilet, and two matching sinks, and toliet paper holder. To add to the ambiance, they put down 1/2 thick multicolor green and multi shaped tile. Yellow tile covers the walls and counter tops for a pop of contrast. It's waiting for its extreme makeover to.
"Vintage" isn't always charming through the years. Your bathroom will look great when you decide to redo it. Good luck! P.S. I lived through those "avocado years". They weren't pretty back then either. LoL!
I agree with Aaron. Laura not only are you a great teacher but an awesome artist as well. So it's good that you are detailed oriented and not chill all the time. You are chill when it matters and a get er done person most the time. If you weren't like that your garden would not be a tapestry of art. You inspire me as well as so many others. Please never stop being you.
My mom always said, "Buy quality, not quantity." Of course, I am spoiled having a wood crafter as a husband who builds beautiful furniture from hardwoods. I know how much time it takes to make perfect joints and routed trim. I'm particular about finishes and notice when things aren't finished carefully. I help him match boards when he is building a set of doors, drawers, or making a table or chest top. You have a good eye for beauty and quality, Laura, and having an idea of what you want in a space; whether in the garden, your home, the Hartley, or an arrangement.
Haha I LOVE LAURA & ARRON discussing what you like and don’t like! It’s a blast to watch your relationship views too keep it up it add so much character to your channel which is my favorite UA-cam channel
We waited to do a renovation also. Once we did it we wondered why we waited so long. The enjoyment of the finished rooms and how it changed our lives both organizationally and aesthetically. We just enjoyed our home so much more. Don’t wait forever. Think of your house like your garden if a plant doesn’t work or you don’t like it, you move it or get rid of it.
I love watching you two, being truly human, and being true help mates to each other, and Benjamin hanging up the phone is so real to family life, another great video. I thoroughly enjoyed all the info. Ty
You guys! I so appreciate the discussion of “what’s too much information” versus “not providing enough information”! My husband and I do the same thing! He is always wanting me to boil information down to the bare minimum, and that is so hard to do! I do think it’s a difference between men and women. If I am helping him move a piece of furniture, I will say more than once, “Talk to me! Tell me what we’re doing!” He getting better at it. It all goes towards learning about each other, but I always appreciate when another couple has similar things going on! So appreciate you too!!
So nice spending Sunday morning with you. Aaron noting that you seem always to know what to say in social situations is spot on. In watching your videos over the years, your sincerity in what you share is very apparent. Both you and Aaron are wonderful parents and you bring much joy to those around you. I look forward to your videos. Thank you for giving us a glimpse of your family life while sharing those beautiful gardens.
My husband and I are the exact opposite of the two of you in the story telling department. He gets frustrated when I cut him off or hurry him along too, so I try to be more mindful. Everyone likes to be heard...even when I have to practice tremendous patience. 🥴 Love your dynamic duo and especially the highlights including Aaron.
Aaron, how did you guess! 😂 Me and my boyfriend bought an old house with old garden when we was 22 years old and we lived there while renovation was going on, and now 10 years later I have to say my house is almost finished. 🤣 All the money went in to the house and I had no money left for my garden. My boyfriend said I need to do it all on a small budget or no budget at all, we bought a little bit more land around us and that was all my garden budget, and I did the garden renovation and he did almost all the work him self on the house. It was hard work but worth every penny. I know you will have your house one day exactly how you want it, becouse I can see your garden space and it looks STUNNING, you are the BEST and you deserve the best!!! LOVE, LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!
I just love you two. I have been watching you and learning so much for years. However, just wanted to tell you my husband owns a plumbing heating and air company and he corrects everyone on “hot water heater”. He states it is not a HOT water heater, if the water was hot it wouldn’t need to be heated. It’s a water heater!!!😂😂😂😂 Also, I studied under your tutelage for several years. Last year we put in a 64’x8’ flower bed. It turned out great. We love it, all of the neighbors love it and we constantly receive comments on it. Hope to send you pics of the beginning and end of the project. It was a lot of work, but turned out so beautiful. We live on the coast of Virginia, Zone 8. Thank you for all of the tips and taking us along on your planting journeys.
Laura, your white bathroom sounds so much like my story!!! We bought our house 22 years ago and it needed a lot of work. We did it slowly as we had funds and our bathroom kept getting pushed to the bottom of the list behind the rest of the house, educating our kids, holidays etc. When we moved in it was had grotty white tiles to about shoulder height with paint above that and ghastly stenciled star fish and dolphins - so gross! We gave it a lick of paint to refresh it a bit and there it sat for 18 years. It was the last room we did and by far my favourite now so hang in there. You'll do it one day and it will be worth the wait. Thanks for all your amazing videos which are such an important part of my day and motivation to keep working on my own garden. 🥰🌲🌹🌺🌻
I always enjoy your recap videos for the information and the interaction between you and Aaron. This one had me laughing out loud during the conversation about "mansplaining." Thanks for giving me a good start to my day!
I enjoy these back and forth comments from you two, makes me chuckle. Actually, I watch all your videos and I love the drone footage that Aaron slips in every now and again!
I like the way you 2 speak your mind. So refreshing.😊 I think it's so funny when you guys have" discussions." Aaron, do you like pushing Laura's buttons?lol I would like to thank you guys for showing us the "real" GA family. Your GA family loves and appreciates you guys so much!!
absolutely one of the funniest highlight episodes EVER. the whole "skip to the next part" is forever a battle with my husband and I just REVERSED for us, LOL!!
OMG! I Could not love you two anymore than I do in this video!!! Soooo funny, real, relatable, and it seemed like we were listening to friends. xoxo Oh and I say, do a remodel to your bathroom. Even if it’s on the down low cost wise. Life is waaaay too short. Paint, new shower insert, new lights and mirror. Won’t cost a lot and I bet you’ll be amazed at how it changes how you feel about the room. Life is short 🥰
I always appreciate the titles that tell me what to expect. It makes it easier if I need to search for something later because it inspired or educated me etc. So keep up the long titles, please!
Omg!!! We are living in that very scenario that Aaron talks about at the beginning of this video. We bought a 130 year old house at the beginning of the pandemic that needs a lot of renovation. By the time we were ready for renovations the cost for construction skyrocketed. We put it on hold until prices stabilized, and are concentrating on updates that we can do. Meanwhile we are living in rooms with holes in ceilings and such. We don’t want to spend the money to make temporary updates to just tear it all out when reno finally begins. I can’t wait to see your reno when you start that.
I love the pond and the picture Paul took on the misty day was amazing. Would you ever consider doing a calendar showing a monthly picture of the pond over a years time? I would buy one. And maybe in all the excitement when getting the fish someone miscounted and put 12 in the bags and no one noticed?
You could start an entire new channel just doing your home renovations! Good Winter time projects. Love listening to you two bouncing ideas off of each other.
No Aaron! I like the way Laura does talk. She is to the point. I repeatedly watched where she stated numbers of Koi and Shark fish. She said it clearly if you pay attention to the phrase. Laura makes gardening simple. I don't know if I would have started planting anything if she didn't make it as such.
I have lived with crappy parts of my house for so many years -waiting for the day to have it perfect. So wish I could go back and just DIY it. It would have looked a lot better than it did for over 20 years waiting for the professional renovation!! Haha. And I would have been so much happier with it. I’ve learned life is too short to wait for perfection or “just the right moment or time”. Also could you have someone frame the brick walls in all the way around that area and cover the brick -like they did in the old days. People do renovations and find really old brick behind the walls. Then you’d still have the character of the fireplaces in all 3 rooms. But you could have your wood wall/ mantle. Etc. Even if it’s not “perfect”, it would still make you smile! You two are my favorites!
Could you guys do highlight videos in the off season, on relationship, specifically how you deal with business, family, and decision making in your business and family? I think you guys have a really healthy relationship, and could bless us with your wisdom ❤❤❤
Love listening to you guys, thrilled with your success ❤. Any chance you could make a women’s V-neck T-shirt. I know many gardeners are not girlie but it truly is more flattering on a woman and I’d love to wear it out to see who knows you here in Ohio 😊. I send your link to everyone I can.
I do love that you guys keep some of your interactions in the videos 😊 also, don't worry about your video titles. I watch all your videos, I don't even really read the titles, cuz I'm going to watch it anyway!
We've been in our house for 10 years and just started Reno, room by room, last year. I feel your pain! There's nothing "wrong" with our house, so you hate to really do anything and waste money until you're ready to REALLY do it. It was built in the mid 1990's and nothing has been touched since. It's also 4000 sq ft, so it's big rooms with extremely high ceilings that are just very difficult to really figure out what to do. Also, Laura, YES (NO!) on the vanity lights with the big round light bulbs. I hate them so much and have just learned to look past them. 🤣
I live where there is a lot of freeze/thaw activity that heaves plants and rocks out of the ground and have had great success putting a plastic pot inside my Unique Stone pots, which are raised up on feet.. They look just as they did when I got them in the early 90's. It also double insulates.
@gardengirl649 How does the size of the plastic pots compare to the concrete ones? What I mean is, is there a gap between the plastic and the concrete? I have large ceramic pots that I bring into the garage each year, but I’d love to leave them out. Southern Wisconsin, zone 5.
Aaron you're speaking my life since we bought our house in 1998. It was built in 1956 so not quite as old as your and Laura's house. Always "one day we'll renovate". I bet you'll renovate yours before we renovate ours lol 😂. Enjoy your week. 🍁🍂🌾💕🐝
I was watching this update when you were describing the renovations you need to do. So amusing...you were making me laugh. Just one little voice amongst your completely unknown www viewers letting you know I thoroughly enjoy seeing your beautiful landscaping and the relaxing, informal style of your videos. You are friendly, familiar souls to us - it's a joy to watch you both. J.
Aaron, I agree with you regarding suckers at the base of trees. As a horticulturist for a city I found that the trees that suckered a lot were often times planted too deep and the roots were circulating the tree along with the suckering. I also noticed when the tree was mulched with chips “volcano” style they also suckered and the trees showed other stress as well. Given that, Laura was right in that many of the fruit trees do sucker naturally. I enjoy watching your videos, and learn many new things from you both.
I would LOVE some tubers, Laura!!! What if those of us who have ordered merchandise and are loyal fans 😉 pay for our shipping???? Would you give away to some of us?? I can't tell you how proud of those dahlias I would be!!! To have some "Laura" dahlias in my garden would be a dream. I know, silly! If you saw my yard, all since I started following you a few years back, you'd be amazed!! You are truly my inspiration!!
About the hot water heater banging: We have hard water also and on a regular basis we have to drain the hot water tank to remove sediment. The knocking is actually a build-up of sediment (in our case). Aaron might try this. I would Google the manufacture's name and see if it can be drained. Hope this helps.
It's Life Advice from Dr. Aaron and Dr. Laura!!! 40:00 Love it. I love it when Laura's horns popped up and she gave him the death stare. Men just don't get it. Hahaha
Great work.
So well said.
I am an English Lady. Aged. Laura is a Special person with Aaron they are grounded Nice normal people with Qualities, developed since making their videos 9 years! True nature of love, fun.Hard work, knowledge on their specific subject. Which makes for the amazing success they have today.
It was perfectly clear to me, Laura, that you meant 11 koi and 1 shark the very first time you referred to it.
Same!
“I need a fan” and “do you think I’m a chill person” sincerely made me laugh out loud and made my day. I couldn’t love you two more!
I think Laura is an awesome person! Like most women she likes things the way she likes them! So just go along Aaron & all will be happy! 😊
That whole conversation was great and so true, all of it.
Idea, ask Pedo about staining the fireplace. Sure, he would have some advice on the subject.
I never leave home without my Fan 🌬
So funny! the shock that he doesn't think she is a chill person lol
I can't tell you how much I enjoy these highlights even though I watched all the videos, the interaction between you both is so refreshing to see.
You guys are really sweet together it is refreshing
I understand what Aaron meant when he said you knew what to say in social situations and I see it in your Mom too. I think it's your deep-rooted kindness and willingness to help when you speak to people even thought you might feel a bit uncomfortable. You have the best kind of good manners by wanting people to feel at ease and comfortable. We see it in all of your extended family :)) Good people
Successful retailers bring people back because of their social skills as much as their merchandise. Laura learned from the Master!!
The Aaron/Laura conversation about men vs women explanations @42:00 cracked me up. I’m definitely on “Team Laura” and totally understand her frustration when interrupted by Aaron and not allowed to finish while explaining something. Hang in there, Laura! You’re not alone.
That’s funny! I’m more like Aaron and my husband is more like Laura lol
I'm more like Aaron!!! This part was just too funny.
My favorite part, too, especially when her hand went on her hip.
Yep this part was highly entertaining!😂 I appreciate both putting in their perspective.😊
Laura: “I’m gonna rage out” 🤣 I laughed SO HARD 🤣
The “it makes me rage” was the best! Lol 😂
Benjamin kept counting five and Greg said it was four koi. Maybe Benjamin was right all along.
Exactly. Benjamin was on it. He's like me, he didn't stand his ground or correct just got quite. That's what I do.
Exactly what I kept thinking! Benjamin is a smart little dude!
Benjamin must have right !! Kids they are so smart
Now we have to go back and find that video and watch Benjamin counting. See if we can see all 5.
I vote for that explanation! 🙋🏻♀️
I must agree!! 🤣
Agree! I knew what she was saying!
I fully understood what she was saying, in fact I couldn't understand the confusion
A Garden Answer floppy garden hat would be nice as well! Gotta stay protected! 😊
@@ritasicari7518 Good point.
So true I agree with you I believe Laura is not that type of person she is kind hearted girl and I really like her also she is hard working ❤
But then you’d miss all the facial expressions!
Thank you Aaron for not using clickbait! It’s always so disappointing when it is on videos .
@robinmiller9128 , loved your comment.
Communication is so hard!😫
Not to mention tone, dialect, slang…🥴
I appreciate these conversations because they make me feel more sane and happy I’m not the only one with these frustrations. 😊
Edit: This is one of my favorite episodes with the back and forth between you two.
😂 … the man-splaining!! 😂 Aaron, you gave the perfect description…
Laura, I understood the math/explanation of the Koi…I call it “mom-splaining 😂
😂😂😂It’s becoming a Comedy Show also I just love it! Y’all are just precious! Love from Oklahoma 🌺
Now we all want a glimpse of that bathroom! 😅
🙏🦋💐
Absolutely love the banter on this video. I was cracking up watching Aaron run into all the trick questions and Laura‘s face just priceless. 😂😂😂
Best recap video ever! The banter between you two, hysterical!
I love your recap videos as much as the daily ones. I’m in awe of how much you accomplish each season.
I just realized this is basically akin to a garden answer podcast which I’m digging!
Another great recap. You folks make the week that much better, thanks for letting us share a bit of your lives.
This video was a hoot! It was so enjoyable with Aaron delicately trying to address some of the questions you ask him.
It's life.
Aww your so right! Ya gotta pick and choose your battles you have tackle day by day lol😅
Haha.
Great recap video. Very chatty today. I love the dynamic duo! 😊
Maybe Benjamin knew something when he kept counting 5 when Greg brought the new ones 😂
I’d like to see an insulated tumbler on your website. I don’t want/need shirts but would use a big metal tumbler!
Agreed !
Absolutely 💯
All in favor, say aye! ❤
I’d like a baseball ⚾️ style shirt…with the colored sleeves
That whole conversation between you Laura and Aaron had me cracking up sooo much!!
Love y’all being so open with each other! So adorable.
That’s called …. love- respect- friendship and Marriage👰🏻♀️🥰🤵🏻♂️
LoL!
@cynthiarafferty7662 lol. It sure isn't. I see now retro is popular. But I was born in 70. It wasn't cute then to me and it sure isn't cute now.
Ty
Thank you Laura and Aaron needed that this morning you had me laughing with your face you make to Aaron. Love you both
I love the life chats. Keeping it real. 😎🤗
I love starting Sunday morning with your recap! I hope you all have the best week and Halloween!
Same here!
Love the different views between Aaron and Laura. Makes it more interesting. Thanks.
The “men are from mars, women are from Venus” conversation was fun. 😂
I always enjoy your recap videos for the information and the interaction between you and Aaron. This one had me laughing out loud during the conversation about "mansplaining." Thanks for giving me a good start to my day!
Laura, I understood perfectly what you meant with the fish count. An extra Koi is much better than a missing one 👍🏼
I enjoy these back and forth comments from you two, makes me chuckle. Actually, I watch all your videos and I love the drone footage that Aaron slips in every now and again!
The way Laura explains stuff is perfect!
I was wondering the same thing 😂 ❤
Someone tell Aaron that woman don’t like being told to “chill out” either! 😂😂😂💜
absolutely one of the funniest highlight episodes EVER. the whole "skip to the next part" is forever a battle with my husband and I just REVERSED for us, LOL!!
Thank you Aaron! That's one thing I love about GA. Never a click bate!
I REALLY ENJOY YOUR Q/A WITH AARON... HE BRINGS GREAT POINTS TOO AND I LOVE THAT YOU BOTH HAVE REAL CONVO IN YOUR VLOGS🩵🧡💚💛💜
OMG! I Could not love you two anymore than I do in this video!!! Soooo funny, real, relatable, and it seemed like we were listening to friends. xoxo
Oh and I say, do a remodel to your bathroom. Even if it’s on the down low cost wise. Life is waaaay too short. Paint, new shower insert, new lights and mirror. Won’t cost a lot and I bet you’ll be amazed at how it changes how you feel about the room. Life is short 🥰
Both of you are so good together. Someone once said to me and my husband that we compliment each other, and that's how I see you and your husband.
The hard-core GA fan wears an Andrews Seed sweatshirt. It's on my Christmas wish-list.
Agreed! Would love a v-neck!
Same here....would buy a v-neck tee!
This is the best recap podcasty video ever. I love it. Please have a podcast!! ❤❤
I feel like the quality I pick up from videos is Laura is genuine ❤
YES...we just did the same! It's very easy to do and the sediment that comes out is unreal😲 We do it about twice a year! 👍🏻
Could sit and listen to you two all day!💜
With Benjamin in so many videos, are you homeschooling him? Always fun to see the children!
It's Life Advice from Dr. Aaron and Dr. Laura!!! 40:00 Love it. I love it when Laura's horns popped up and she gave him the death stare. Men just don't get it. Hahaha
