Most of these comments state that Odin was a bad father, however I feel that Odin loved Loki dearly, but when Loki went into a state of rage, his father didn't know how to react. And also, keeping the secret of Loki being his adopted son was probably the right thing to do in his point of view. I think that Loki's hatred to his father is justified, but it does not mean Odin was a bad person. After all, he raised the character that We've grown to love so much. :)
