    Pablo is a miracle. A friend died several years ago from GBM after a ten year fight. I understood that he did Keto for years, but not exclusively. He had support from his family, friends and employer. He wanted to find people who have had more success than he had so he could learn from them. His doctors told him that he was that guy. He would have been inspired by Pablo and this series. ❤ Thank you all.

      Search for "Thomas Seyfried, ketogenic diet" and you will find great hope! The ketogenic method works and has been tested against many types of cancer. I have diabetes type 2. By using the ketogenic diet (avoiding sugar and anything that can be converted to sugar by the intestants which is flour. The worst is bread, panncakes, pasta, potatoes and rice). I eat meat, chicken, egg and fish and exchange potatoes with brocholi, salad or beans. As long as I eat this I have no diabetes and normal blod sugar values! So the ketogenic diet also cures diabetic patients! I am proof of this.

    (If only DON were easily available, combined with Keto, he might never have needed that final surgery.)

    Fabulous story Pablo, well done for taking control of your health and not listening to the doctors. As a nurse of 40 years I am disappointed but not surprised that the medical system dont listen to you. Sadly there is a lot of money to be made from cancer treatments which is disgusting. I wish you a long and healthy life with your family. You will inspire so many others.

    Amazing to see you again Pablo ❤I support you on Patreon as you always take me right back to my husband’s experience. Sadly he decided to do the chemo/ radiation and he died 24 months later at 53 years young. His own brother, impossibly died of the same: GBM GRADE 4, only 3 months earlier. He was a doctor of medicine himself but also succumbed to the mainstream narrative. Who knows? Perhaps they, like you might have lived much longer.

    Bravo for you to taking your brain cancer in your own hands, researching everything, and not following your oncologists. My son died from stage 4 gioblastoma. In my first meeting with his MGH oncologist, after I asked her how tumor is fueled. She replied glucose. I suggested that wheat and grains metabolize as glucose and I recommend my son go on a strict keto diet or carnivore diet to halt growth of tumor. Her reply: there is no scientific evidence that a keto or carnivore diet would help. I knew this was not true. She said to my son to eat whatever he wants. So that is exactly what he did. He ate as if he was dying. So sad. I do believe he would still be here today had he changed his diet; I had been suggesting this WOE since 2016 union deaf ears. He died 8/20/24, about 13 months after his diagnosis. He was my only child. I cannot believe he is gone.

    Pablo, thank you for your testimony, and congratulations to listening to your instincts and following ketogenic diet. Unfortunately medical professionals are so uncooperative with cancer patients wanting to put more emphasis on diet, almost ridiculing them. They only know what big pharma wants to push through them. I stopped supporting cancer council research drives, because they all support pharma based solutions and they definitely only look at the bottom line.

    You are the brave one. Standard of care is brutal. And there’s no guarantee then. And the effects even if you do get to NED the chemo and radiation can spawn future secondary cancers. And look at the good quality of life comparatively speaking that you’ve enjoyed in the years since dx. I’m a retired RN and I would not accept standard of care. I’m very happy for you and may God bless you and your beautiful family with many more years with you in their lives. My take on this story is using the metabolic approach will at least keep you having good quality of life during the treatment period although the outcome is not 100% guaranty. No other treatment plans guarantees the outcome. Dr. Sara Hallberg died of lung cancer at age 49. She was a ketogenic dieter and her earlier life was vegan.

      Patients that are late stage and appear to have muscle wasting, cachexia, should definitely seek medical help. Keto patients can keep an eye on their BMI. Doctors usually don't get too worried as long as it's over 20. Unfortunately our perception of what a healthy weight is continues to shift higher with time. We hear from patients that they usually stabilize at a few pounds lower than what they were expecting or comfortable with, but they are still in a healthy range. Keto diets are muscle sparing. So can help fight cachexia. There are things that are still Ketogenic that people can add to their keto diet (instead of carbs) to help with weight gain. Nuts and cheeses come to mind. Some complex carbs (veggies) might be okay. This is not medical advice, but places you may start investigating.

    The 'idh1 mutant gene' (mentioned at 20.24) is a hugely fortunate advantage to anyone considering doing keto for cancer , (as with Pablo). At the very least, Patients should be told if they have this gene, or be told they can be tested for it . This gene helps blocks the glutamine that is, (along with glucose), fuel that cancer cells need .

    • @CANCEREVOLUTIONdoc
      @CANCEREVOLUTIONdoc  3 місяці тому +2

      Thank you for your comment. I think Pablo is the only Cancer Thriver we have spoken with who has that special gene. It may be helpful, but lots of cancer patients are benefitting from ketogenic diets and other metabolic therapies who don't have it. Yesterday my dearest friend was diagnosed with this aggressive glioblastoma brain tumour. She is mostly vegetarian so how can I persuade her to eat keto - never mind carnivore. The general population think us carnivores are nuts. I don't want to spook her out, she's in terrible shock but I just wish i could persuade her to try this diet. Love to you Pablo xx

    • @CANCEREVOLUTIONdoc
      @CANCEREVOLUTIONdoc  3 місяці тому +2

      The press/pulse idea comes from looking at mass extinction events. The idea is that a constant amount of stress is placed on a system, this is the press. Then an acute pulse hits that system and a large number of whatever is stressed is knocked out. This is the pulse. For cancer, as Seyfried discusses it, keto is the press and small amounts of chemo or radiation are the pulse.

      In some cases, not at all painful. My father was diagnosed with grade 4 GBM in June of 2023, with a lesion in his temporal lobe. Although it has impaired his speaking, he hasn't felt any pain, before or after the surgery.
      The conventional treatment itself (temozolomide and radiotherapy) can cause more suffering than the tumor itself, from our experience.
      Hope everything is well with you and your loved ones.

    If the essence of cancer is merely “defective” mitochondria with no genome alterations (mitochondrial or otherwise), then how does this defectiveness propagate in a tumor? A tumor is going to be almost entirely made of new cells and their mitochondria are going to be produced via the central dogma. Maybe I am completely misunderstanding what Seyfried is saying, but I don’t see a mechanism for how these tumor mitochondria could all instantaneously become defective.

    • @CANCEREVOLUTIONdoc
      @CANCEREVOLUTIONdoc  11 місяців тому +1

      Thank you. There is too much to explain here, but cancers certainly have mutations and they are important. Seyfried simply aregues that they are not the reason the cancer forms. Cancer mitochondria are fewer (up to 50% less) and are less capable of using oxygen (usually impaired by 40-60%). Because of this, if you removed fermentation as a fuel source, cancer cells could not stay alive using respiration.

    • @CANCEREVOLUTIONdoc
      @CANCEREVOLUTIONdoc  11 місяців тому +1

      Mitochondria are created by other mitochondria dividing. This happens when a cell divides. No new mitochondria are created by the body.

      @@MrNickdino Google Bard has access to all UA-cam video transcripts and can produce a useful response to this question if you preface it with, "based on UA-cam videos that have Thomas Seyfried in them, " then type in your question. In my response from Bard, I got a reference to Peter Attia episode #30. Here is part of Bard's response: "Seyfried also mentions that cancer cells can have mutations in genes that regulate metabolism. These mutations can further contribute to the Warburg effect by making the cells even more reliant on fermentation. While Seyfried doesn't directly address how these defects propagate in a tumor, his explanation suggests that the Warburg effect is not simply a consequence of having defective mitochondria in all the cells. Rather, it is a complex process that involves both mitochondrial damage and metabolic adaptations in cancer cells."
