imo, most of these changes seem pretty balanced although crazy there are also a few notable ones: Heavy mob cemetery costs 100 meter to use but can now combo(the rest of sol seems wild but I'm all for 5k nerfs) blood pop now allows for combos on walls but zansetsu causes nago to lose all the health he would've if he didn't use the super anyway Behemoth typhoon spam requires expending levels of security to use which possibly means less drone usage Asuka's cubes are considered as actual projectiles(potemkin get reflect projectile off of blue cube)
You have to keep in mind sq (and other doomers) are competitive players. Changes like these are good for us casuals but bring volatility, which high level players hate (for good reasons)

As a FG player that doesn't play Strive, this looks way less formulaic that the usual Strive videos. To me the matches have always seem super flashy but very repetitive. Like crazy, but fixated crazy. This demo looks crazy-crazy instead... Of course, it may be nothing but trailer lies. I'm almost interested this time.
I don't agree changes like Pot Buster getting armor and Leo getting essentially Dire Eclat. But others like Testament comboing off throw + Stain and Asuka Test Case changes during Bookmark (Full Order) are really good. But I hope LK is right and they're just showing highlights and there are nerfs to pair with the more absurd changes.

I've been waiting for Dizzy since the game came out, I'm so hyped to play her. I think they hit a nice balance of keeping some stuff from her old kit but also giving her new stuff to try out. Can't wait for her starter guide to understand what the glowing wings are even for.
As someone who doesn't play Strive nearly as much as I used to, you're absolutely right about the changes demoing well, lol. Definitely gonna try season 4 and dizzy, which isn't something I said about season 3s launch. Hope that game remains fun for the devoted player base tho

Seeing Testament pop stain on throw made me feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the gift of their dreams. I'm very excited for this patch, even if it ends up making things a bit bonkers, at least it should hopefully make everyone bonkers.
8:26 Btw I think the Baiken parry was changed to no longer grab and do the slam, now it does a guard crush thing so you can run up and hit them no matter the distance. so it doesn't only guard crush if you parry from far away.
I have seen some people suggest this. It is possible and honestly would be an overall buff as the pressure from the guard crush is better than the current knockdown and losing damage is fine
Kind of liking a lot of these changes honestly. A lot of these just feel like they're giving characters either plausible alternatives to the optimized meta thing they're currently doing, or alternate combo routes that make learning the character fun instead of trying desperately to funnel everything into H DP, yes I'm definitely not referring to a specific character here
During the wait for Strive came out I spent some time playing +R, eventually settling on Dizzy as my main for that game. Her not being in the game was a disappointment for me as I didn't feel anyone really came close to a similar playstyle. So I played Ramlethal until I eventually lost interest around the beginning of season 3. When the Dizzy announcement finally happened I decided to come back and try some new characters so I could learn how to play against them and possibly have a backup if I didn't like Dizzy's changes. With the big patch I wont just be coming back for Dizzy but also to check out my No.1 waifu Ramlethal's changes.

Now we finally have that back and it’s not like it’s going to turn Zato back into a top tier but it at least makes it usable. Hopefully we see some more buffs for Zato when the patch drops and a new move at some point.

@@zachstarattack7320 I feel it dude. I switched to maining Chipp in s3 because of how bad they did our boy so I’m not having quite as visceral a reaction as I would have if I still mained Zato. I personally just hope they add burst baiting with BTL back. I don’t mind the Eddie timer being as long as it is because if you’re playing Zato optimally there shouldn’t be any downtime between pressure at all. Now that command grab refills Eddie gauge again we can actually capitalize on baiting DPs and use WA into command grab to reset pressure.

arc sys is really good at getting me to believe they are smoking crack in that office but i'm all for it.

H sword guard crushing would make it easier to change, not harder. Rock also doesn't guard crush currently
