Yes, I like to use Alene's Fabric Glue. Hot glue works, also, but it dries hard so the edges will always feel a little stiff. Any fabric glue would do the same thing as the fusible tape and it will be softer than hot glue. Just test it out on a corner to see how much to use...sometimes fabric glue will seep through and then leave stain like marks.
I just want to stick a pillow insert into a kids t-shirt "tube" with no cutting. Just fold in the sleeves and bottom. Not sure how to fold in the neck area.

Can you just seal the pillow together? I'd rather not have an opening in the back.
Definitely! I do this so I don't have to put in a zipper or buttons, but you can use those or the glue to seal it.

Not sure, either! Maybe some kind of t-shirt braiding would work?
