I must say it's really awesome but you cut right to the chase you got right through the video being very detailed in the video without explaining all kinds of nonsense about this and that and this and that you kept your video short simple and sweet. Why more people haven't checked out your video is beyond my comprehension because you didn't spend hours and hours talking about one little easy project to work on. Thank you very much
Good job this was the best video I watched and helped me and my son replace. the clutch plates on his TTR. Thank you for mentioning the torque values. I am a retired aircraft mechanic and my suggestion would be to convert your foot pounds in to inch pounds for the smaller diameter bolts. It is much more accurate but the only thing is you need a torque wrench that will measure in inch pounds. Thanks again.
@@selectiveperformance6121 I have five of them, all different sizes and ranges. I also have a torque screwdriver that allows me to accurately torque small screws. It only goes up to 50 inch pounds but I can torque something as low as 10.
So you dont over tighten things. Smaller bolts can only hold so much and an uncalibrated torque wrench cluld seriously fuck your aluminum case.@larryalbany9527
@@larryalbany9527it doesn't make much of a difference. It is just most ft lb torque wrenchs may not go as low as he was mentioning in the video. But it is an easy conversion just take how many ft lbs you need torqued to for example 5 ft lbs and times it by 12 and you would be at 60 inch lbs. So 5 ft lbs and 60 inch lbs is the same torque just measured in different units. I think the commenter above just encourages people to use a smaller rachet on smaller bolts to hopefully prevent breaking the bolts if the torque wrench were to malfunction it may be easier to feel with the smaller tool.
Yo dude you have made my day thank you for breaking things down on the little details some don’t explain . Thank you so much dude I just got me this bike and it needs some tlc . Your the man dude
Most motorcycle have the same procedure. look up free manuals for your year make and model. All my manuals are downloaded to Apple Books so I can have them on my phone
Most likely the clutch plates and springs will not come in oil you’re gonna want to soak the clutch plates and oil for a few hours before installing them with the exact same oil you’re gonna run in the bike
There’s is a ball bearing on the end of the push rod in the center of the clutch hub. Also all my bikes have one there. I didn’t take that out on this job. If you keep the bike on it’s side it will stay in place.
It’s the same concept with many motorcycles. Unless you have an old Maico… I really enjoy the oem catalog From www.rockymountainatvmc.com. It helps see the parts brake down.
I have yet to see a completed video This video was gr8 but It does not show how much to adjust The basket cover plate screw adjustment and the correct position Of the acuator arm And final cable adjustment Thats dissapointing !

It’s my pet peeve to watch a video and not get to the point. I don’t have time to waste.

I got to get me a smaller torque wrench. I appreciate the advice.

Dude you got to the point no rambling on and on like most videos. Nice work!
Dude, I just want to say thank you for not rambling or regenerating a million times.... 2 the point. Get it done, thank you
That was nice work there, mate.
I'm dealing with this right now.
Thank you 😊

Gracias! Great tips here! (1) Cardboard box bolt organizer - genius. (2) wash the outside of the case and the seam before opening the clutch.
No stupid music, informative, exactly the video I was looking for bro!
Great vid - thanks. What is the reason for rotating each subsequent metal plate by 90 degrees?
Not sure but my best guess is for oil to drip or fling around. Manual said to clock them 90 degrees apart.
Where's the push rod adjustment?
thank you for this video, its great information
Thank you for the detailed video
Thanks for watching
GREAT VIDEO! Thank you 🤩
Nicely done all one handed 👍
Appreciate the video! Thank you!!
Good job on the vid. Would it be the same thing on a ttr 230?
Most motorcycle have the same procedure. look up free manuals for your year make and model. All my manuals are downloaded to Apple Books so I can have them on my phone
Just have to ask but are all the ttr 125cc Yamaha bikes the same process for the clutch replacement? Never done it before so just wondering
Hey man video looks really good but I can’t find that type of clutch can you send the link please

So the clutch plates have oil on them, and if not what did you put on the clutch plates?
Most likely the clutch plates and springs will not come in oil you’re gonna want to soak the clutch plates and oil for a few hours before installing them with the exact same oil you’re gonna run in the bike
I just soaked them in motorcycle oil
The same oil that goes in the transmission. I believe it’s 10w40 synthetic motorcycle
Do you have one for the kick starter I’m not sure I did anything wrong but I didn’t check to see if it was damaged. Any input tgat will help
I don’t have one right now I just sold my ttr 125 engine
Should be straight forward tho. I have a drz125 engine I think I can show u how it’s done. It’s pretty similar
Great video
Great job. 👍
Great job kid
Nice vid! Is there a ball bearing somewhere in there?

@@selectiveperformance6121 Got it. I was just making sure I wasn’t missing something. Thanks.
@@selectiveperformance6121 may I ask why the 90 degree turns ??
Hi, Thank you very much for the video ... is it the same for the 250TTR ? All the best

@@selectiveperformance6121 Many thanks !!
How does clutch actuator arm come out on 07 model??
There’s usually a bolt holding it in place on most bikes
i just did this and now my clutch won't engine why wont it work like everytime im in gear and pull in the clutch it still is going when i give it gas
Adjust your clutch cable
Isnt it bad to tip your bike over like that for a while?
if theres no fuel in the tank/ fuels off/ and oils is already drained. should be fine
