BMW K1300 R Stock vs. Akrapovic exhaust

Sound of a running BMW K1300R with the stock exhaust system, then with the Akrapovic titanium with and without the db-killer installed.

Excellent video, just put a delkevic short carbon on my 1300s and sounds great, as you have mentioned the quick shifter + sound is addictive....

Thanks and glad you like it. The K1300 S is equally great, but the wind protection is so good that you'll have to be extra careful with your speed. As a buying tip, make sure to get the quick shifter option.

Wind protection is not the problem, riding position and stiff suspension are. Now you can do an occasional long distance riding on the R, but if this is the primary purpose better go for a touring model with more relaxed sitting position, and forgiving suspensions. The R is also asking you to twist the throttle all the time... I can't explain why, but I'm always speeding on this one.

Is it full akrapovic or just the muffler? I have k1300s with akrapovic and db killer out and I didn’t know that it sounds so good from the outside lol

Hello, it is only the muffler (slip on). Yes it sounds that good! Just be respectful of others and don't open up to much when close to where people live 😊
