    Thanks for the post Dan. Curious if you were working for the dump truck company and then your new company bought it out? Also liked the ride along on the bike, pipes sound great so keep posting that. One last question, do they make you still work on weekends or is OT optional at the new place?

    • @dansvlogtrucking
      @dansvlogtrucking  2 роки тому +1

      I was working for the company when they bought us and I became an SRM employee. Weekend work is mandatory IF we are super busy. I work every Saturday and will explain why in future vids

    Hi Dan, nice to have you back. I may have misses this someplace but did you quit the dump truck job or was that company purchased by the one you are currently driving for?

    • @dansvlogtrucking
      @dansvlogtrucking  2 роки тому

      I quit BlueMax back in February of this year and went to the company that got bought out. Since the buyout, I’ve been advancing my career to its current status

    Dan , have you given up on the truck washing hustle since moving on to the bulk container trucking gig?

      I stopped washing back in December when I left Blue Max Trucking.

      It’s a great job. I have moved back into the rock and sand side of the company but not because I didn’t enjoy being a tanker.

    Lot more money in pressure washing then trucking

      Not attacking you, just giving perspective…In business, it’s not what you make, it’s what you keep. And as you get older it’s much harder to keep money. But not only do our expenses go up as we age to include medical needs which is as expensive as a mortgage payment when you’re on your own but keep in mind, trucking or most any other full-time career is not going to be seasonal work. If you can make $70-$80,000 a year driving somebody else’s equipment, having your 401(k) matched and growing exponentially, being a part of a 4000 person medical plan to where our deductible is $750 a year and our co-pay is only $30 and add to that short term and long term disability, Workmen’s Comp. and life insurance all at incredibly reduced rates while I am not only enjoying my work more which is really the most important part but I have more money in my bank account and more security as I age for myself and my children. One more thing that people don’t realize is your unfunded time. Driving around chasing bleach, getting parts for your equipment, going on estimates, driving back-and-forth to jobs, having to get fuel, having to go to Home Depot, having to do invoices, everything that you do that you’re not getting paid for brings down your average hourly income. I have absolutely zero unfunded time and I KEEP just under a grand a week AFTER EVERYTHING including child support is deducted (taxes paid as well) 52 weeks a year! ps, I am at the bottom of the pay scale. There is no cap on the annual pay raises. It’s what you keep, not what you charge! I forgot to mention the Holiday bonus: $100 put in a fund for every Saturday we work (on top of our overtime pay) and given to us with 40 hours pay in one lump sum every December. That’s a nice 2-5 thousand dollar bonus just in time to buy presents. In the lawn care and pressure wash industry, I remember starving Dec-Feb.

      @@dansvlogtrucking hey Dan do your thing man I drove for 13 years, owned a couple of them at one point, tables have turned for me, I now own a exterior cleaning company up here in the nw and am doing by far better with this journey then trucking, low over head and big profits, we stay busy all year, cleaning for most of the year and then holiday lighting in fall/winter, I have 4 rigs running around and 6 techs, we are going for 1 mill next year. Couple set backs this year prevented that, I grew from one truck and just me in spring of 2019 to where we are now, looks like I'll be putting at least one more rig together this winter so it'll be ready to go by spring time, I think I'll stop at 6 buy when you have 6 what's 10, 😀
      Keep the greasy side down, the hogs off your ass and the bugs off your glass driver, c'mon

      I will NEVER buy a truck. No money in it at all. Glad you got out when you did. My uncle made the mistake of going from a company man to an O/O and lost his ass. He went back to a company man real fast!! 😂

      If it wasn't for trucks I wouldn't own a wash business, I started washing my trucks cause I got tired for blue beacon, one day I was washing the trucks and wife said while your out there washing this fucking money pits, wash my house, and then it all started,
