I just learned that the Rubicon 1 existed five minutes ago, and found this while trying to look that up. Damn! My Dixie II+ amd Shapeshifter want a family reunion! I want to add that it was seeing (mostly hearing) what the Shapeshifter could do that pushed me to finally taking the plunge om getting into modular on the first place. I am so grateful to Intellijel for making such inspiring pieces of electronic art. This advance over the first Rubicon (which, again, I only learned about just before I saw this video and realized that you had already updated it) was mind-blowing. So much power and range in a single module. Using this in conjunction with the Shapeshifter would grant a massive pallette of sounds. Really appreciate this, folks.
I've had my Rubicon 2 for almost a year now. I'm starting to venture more and more into it. It pairs pretty well with the Morgasmatron as well as the Joranalogue Filter 8... even feeding both outputs of the Morgasmatron into the Joranalogue for some extra nastiness. Don't let its clean appearance fool you. It's pretty dirty once you unlock it.
Yes, it uses the same calibration system so it should have the same pitch tracking accuracy. Just be aware that modulation or symmetry settings may throw off the tuning.
No filter in this case! It's a result of the sidebands created during FM modulation, along with the Warping of Rubicon's Sine wave with the Tri State Pulse. Having Squish engaged adds even more complexity with wavefolding. We're using Shapeshifter's Chip2 waveform with modulation from Quadra over waveshape. Quadra is also modulating FM Index Warp and PWM with a Sine wave sent to Warp's X input.

I don't think i'll ever get tired from the first version but I know what to do if it happen one day.
That Warp and Tri-State circuit is awesome and should also be a available as a seperate module. I'd love to have that in my small 42hp Intellijel case
