@@VinceFinemMusic haha yes indeed, I'd have to say Intellijel, WMD and SSF is the holy trinity for me 🫡🫡🫡

I am looking to build a system using Metropolix and Atlantix, however I have no experience with modular synth, so my question is what do I "NEED" to go with them? I assume a reverb, delay, some sort of percussion? What are you using for the kick? Basically, I need to know in your opinion, what is the bare minimum to go with these to make a usable system. Not necessarily a specific module, but just the basic functions needed to add in.

@@bitfiddler awesome! Atlantix and Metropolix are certainly a great way to start a system. In this patch, I'm using a kick that I synthesized with an ARP 2600m, but there are a ton of affordablr modules that are dedicated to kick drum synthesis too. Reverb/delay is always nice too. Here's what I would recommend getting after Atlantix and Metropolix in order of neccessity:
      -mixer/audio output module
-some kind of versatile modulator like a quadruple LFO or EG
-I might add a reverb or reverb/delay combo module next, but I'm a sucker for reverb and delay. It's not necessarily essential.
-then, for kick drum you could either get a dedicated kick module or an EG & Lowpass filter
-you'll eventually want a gate sequencer to sequence kick & other percussion sources. Good options here would be Intellijel Steppy or the Gx gate expander for Metropolix.
Hope this helps, best of luck putting your system together!

@portamentopirate yes, I was planning on expanders for them. And I think I will add a steppy as well. It is not too expensive and I see many good reviews on it. Thanks for the advice on a minimum setup. So far, all modular experience I have is in VCV, so the transition to hardware is a bit daunting. And the fact I can never seem to find the intelligel models in stocks is a bit off putting.
