Awesome. One of those days I'm gonna try Brightline out especially nowadays since they extended their range to Orlando. My grown sons never rode the train before and I took them to DC by Amtrak. On the way back we hit the person and then two hours later we hit the tree so that they had to bring in another locomotive. We were 10 hours late. My sons promised never to ride the train again. I just shared your video with them that not all trains are like Amtrak. Brightline is clean and modern just like trains in Europe. Thanks for sharing 😊

Going to FL for my 65th birthday via Amtrak and Brightline to Orlando (from where depends on what ticket I can get in January)* So treating myself in a roomette on Amtrak and Premium service on Brightline would be a great birthday present to myself. So this information was most welcome. Thanks.

Yeah having to wait to make plans stinks. Sounds like an excellent getaway and Brightline is so awesome. We love it. We are going to ride it again soon. Maybe in December.

We needed this train decades ago.
Yeah but better late than never. We will use it a lot when we go to Miami. Got 2 cruises planned for 2024 and we will take this to Miami then free shuttle transport to hotel night before cruise departs. Much cheaper than parking at pier.

The price looks very high right for now in Orlando, but I am sure that very soon would go down 👍, just remembering is just reservation for start. A soon Price for plane(spirit) go down the train would do it too and at the end, it would be affordable. The world here is: patience. Excellent video
Yeah true enough. The $79 one way is worth it to us if gas prices stay high. Plus parking in Miami. Depends on where you are going.
I first started watching railfan channel then saw your video on my smart TV on the UA-cam app ! The other channel uses drones as well and he showed the building of the Cocoa Beach brightline train as well as it's first test run to Orlando. Now I need it to Pensacola FL! So when I am cruising out of Port Canaveral I can go directly from Pensacola to Cocoa Beach!

@PrimeTime Travelers agreed, there was some progress few years ago and I think at the time Alabama didn't want to fund the tracks going past mobile and now theres more news about another bid being put in. At this point I'd take amtrak even if it's old Diesel and bad schedule just to have options

When the Orlando station opens the premium experience would make a huge difference.

@@deborahgillespie6754 should open by the end of the year. Maybe by summer. They just finished laying down the tracks. Now just gotta finish the stations and testing the tracks.

It would be very uncomfortable riding 3.5 hours to Orlando staring at some one sitting across from you. Those seat would be great for families only.
Well the good thing is that you can pick your seats when booking. If 3 going just buy the family 4 pack to keep that 4th seat empty for basically same price
Only the Miami lounge has refreshments? And you can only use the lounge at your departing station?
No the others have premium lounges as well, but Miami's appeared to be the nicest to us. You can only hit the premium lounge at the station you are boarding from.

They all do but Miami's is the best so far. Hoping Orlando's is just as nice.

Not sure yet, sometime in 2023 is all we know. Had heard December 2022 all the way to Fall of 2023. Hoping before summer.

Goes to MCO Orlando Airport. Opens most likely in June. Tickets on sale in May. Yes if you time day right you could come and go same day
The prices from West Palm to Miami are high and thsts for the regular service. It needs a lot more financial support from the local governments and the state and Federal government to lower the prices of the fares to make it worth while to take the train down and back. As it stands not its not.
Yeah it can be expensive. We enjoyed our 4 trips so far and the service was great all around. Surely a step above Amtrak but sometimes just driving might be better. It depends on your final destination after exiting the train.
Did you pay to bring that luggage on? I see there is a place to pay to check bags. Thanks
No charge for the suitcases that we had. We carried them on ourselves.
If there is a group of 3 are you all seated together?
Yes you pick your seats when you book them online.

Varying pricing depends on time of day, special events and day of week. Sometimes as low as $10
wow that bathroom is 10x better than the Trirail's and no one yelling in Creole being loud & obnoxious like the Trirail
We actually are coming back down soon to do a TriRail and MetroRail videos. We will do the Metromover too if we can find the time.
@@PrimeTimeTravelers trirail can be a little sketchy sometimes because of the weird and people who talk to themselves a Haitian man followed me and my girlfriend after we got off on the Boca Station and I almost got into a fight with him just don't let your guard down its not Brightline or anything close to it. Trirail is only good if your going to use it for the Airport to go to FLL or Miami airport otherwise I wouldn't use it

Yes. All stations have elevators and train loads even with station platforms. No lift needed
If you drink alcohol then the Premium is definitely worth it.

@@PrimeTimeTravelers If someone doesn't drink alcohol or make use of Brightline+ then the $22 upcharge for a slightly wider seat (same cushioning) isn't worth it for the ~1 hour journey from West Palm Beach to Miami in my opinion. One can easily spend less than $22 for snacks/ beverages either outside or even inside the station. Priority boarding makes no difference as the different classes don't share the same car
I'm someone who doesn't mind 1st class if it's worth it. Next month I have some long rail journeys (Paris-Munich 5H 41M, Barcelona-Paris 6H 20M, and more) & purchased the bigger seats accordingly based on the travel time.
With 🥃🍹🍸, you get 1-2 free drinks in the station and another 2 (1 between each station) on the train. That's 4 alcoholic beverages, on top of the snacks and Brightline+.
Are the restrooms coed?

Yeah hopefully for Port Canaveral too! Being able to connect with the port if huge.
@@PrimeTimeTravelers that will require new bridges which I doubt is cost effective for brightline. The train track has a tight slope requirement and I do not believe it will be feasible to build over Indian river lagoon judging by the current slope of the highway. Maybe incorporating trolley system/monorail/skyline over the current highway to port canaveral from cocoa village. That will also help cocoa village tourism from cruise excursions.
@@thomaslou624 true, but who knows what the future will hold. If Orlando line succeeds then they will probably look to add to it.
@@PrimeTimeTravelers no matter how much I would prefer a train to port canaveral, there won’t be enough land to build a train rail over Indian lagoon. They will have to evict those houses or buy those million dollar homes next to 528 on the mainland.

Any plans on doing a video from Brightline Orlando to Miami to downtown Miami (that is, basically showing how one gets around upon arrival without a car to a hotel? to beach/sightseeing areas)
Yes we are going to take the train from Orlando to Miami once it opens. Tickets went on sale today for September 1st to January. The tickets for June (possibly), July and August are not on sale yet.
We will film the station in Orlando (the other 5 stations are toured on our channel already). We will film the experience of getting to the station in Orlando's airport to getting off in Miami and catching transportation to our hotel for the night. Sounds great!
I live here in Orange County Florida, Why Why would anyone pay that kind of money to take Brightline to FTL-MIA??? I'll drive there for cheaper and have my car with me when I get there !!! One-way fares between Miami and Orlando will start at $79 for SMART service, and $149 for PREMIUM service!! Makes no sense at all!! I can jump on Silver Airways in Orlando and be in FTL in a hour and round trip is 97.00 !! This stupid
Well ever person has their own likes and dislikes. I don't fly so that option is out. If gas prices stay high, it could cost me $50 to drive each way in gas. I like the idea of having my own car too depending on my destination. If going to Miami, I can take the Metrorail and Metromover and get around town down there so no car is needed.
Either way, thanks for watching. We are going to ride it when it opens to give our opinions.

I'd rather drive my car rather then take a train then having to rent a car or uber around. I'd rather fly then! Faster but same price! All this train is doing is backing up traffic at every street light it passes! It backs up traffic at 163 and US 1 for atleast 2 miles!
You can arrange rides within 5 miles of the station if you travel premium and do so while booking your tickets. Miami you don't need a car much with MetroRail and MetroMover nearby. We enjoy it and will continue to use it.

Yes you can must be crated or leashed at station lobby or outside. Must stay crated past security in lounge and on train
