The first levels of engraving are with the ostraca. Then to the blacksmith in Malis.

Before the 1.14 patch I asked for Hephaestus to be able to make weapons that would be fully customisable but when the patch rolled out it wasn't in the list of things that made the cut. Though some was like the increased font size which is nice for me. I would also like to see an added slot for legendary armor and weapons. I heard about the possibilty that ubisoft is looking into the game saving your builds so you could switch between them. With epics being seemingly more powerful overall maybe have a lock system in place where we can't accidently sell or dismantle our favorite ger sets/ pieces.

Just picked up odyssey last week....after playing rdr2 and god of war which r awesome I must say this game holds its own without a doubt! Reminds me of a cross between the Witcher, GOW, and Horizon zero dawn....very well done Ubisoft, well done 👍

Started the game 1 1/2 or 2 weeks ago. I have something over 100hrs on the clock with my char being Lvl. 53.
Mainly doing sidequests, exploration, decisive or naval battles etc.
While it's an awesome game sometimes i think the devs went a bit overboard with content. There's almost too much to do.

Yet i think that Ghost Recon Wildlands or AC: Origins (minus the DLCs) just had the right length. But at the end of the day, everybody's got a differenz preference when it comes to quantity of content.

Love Jordan's builds. But this just might be my favorite. Staffs are so hugely underrated in this game. The AOE, finisher animations, and attack speed are all phenomenal. I love a great sword or dagger as much as anyone, but this grew on me. totally hooked.

I would like to add that if you complete both DLCs, especially Fate of Atlantis, you can get gear that enhances these very same perks to another level. For example, you use a hunter hood. I was able to find an Isu Commander Helmet (or something like that) with exact same stats but higher perks. Its with every other equipment too. Though I must admit, I couldn't have gotten it done without watching this video.

I have an Assassin Build with upwards of 750,000 Assassin Damage at Level 99, but all my gear is not up to level. It’s entirely stealth based and can usually one shot most Mercenaries/Captains with Critical Assassination, while one-shotting all unranked troops.
My build is the Falx of Olympus, Dagger of Kronos and Paris’ bow. I can’t recall right now what I put on as the fourth skill, but I think they’re all boosts for Assassin Damage. My armor is the Legendary Pirate Set, which boosts Assassin Damage and Damage of Assassin Abilities. For most- if not all- of the fourth skill for my armor set, I’m using the Assassin Damage boost.
In total, my Assassin Damage modifier is somewhere around +500-600%, for a total of around 750,000.
change the Pirate set for epics with assassin dmg, crit chance and crit dmg, and you will be way stronger. Weapons are fine, though.
Sets are pretty weak overall; there's only a few sets that are usable. Like the Nyx set (when you are trying to sneak around), the Artemis/Abstergo sets (when you are clearing a fort from afar), or the Legendary hero set (when you want to be really really tanky)

Didn't like the staff weapons at first as a low level
but as i progressed i found the Staffs to be quite incredible
felt like Donatello from Ninja Turtles lol
Staffs were only ever good in Origins to me: but to be fair, I admittedly got my first weapon pull as the Staff of Alexandria from Reda so I may be biased lol. Never switched from being my primary weapons the rest of the game.
Been playing the game for less than 2 weeks as warrior with Nemean Lion set. Lots of fun, but requires you to dodge constantly. Finally got the gear I needed for this set (lvl 65) and OMG! I can’t stop giggling. You are the best Jordan thank you!!

One thing I notice a lot of times with builds that involve hitting as hard as possible is that crit chance is being used more often. Don't get me wrong, crit damage is great and all, but I think it'd be a smarter idea to hit those crits more with higher chance. To me, it would be a smarter idea, especially if you wanna do high damage builds.
This is pretty interesting, I never thought about putting as much thought into possibilities like this. I just got a legendary fire armor set and got a few fire weapons and it was a pretty big difference but I was selling all my rare weapons and rare armor and not even considering how they could be used to enhance a stack.
been playing Odyssey and Valhalla lately. All played >75 hours and gotta say Odyssey is still much better than Valhalla. the game fight, weapons and stats management, the characteristic of The Order of The Ancient, War at sea games, how to manage skills.

I finished the game 2 days ago and now im leveling up to level 50, all this in 2 weeks with 50+ hours of playing this game. And best part of this game are the battles between ships, reminds me a lot of Ac Black Flag. Love it a lot

I'm currently level 59 and did a lesser version of this build and I see why you like it so much! I'm normally a dagger style of Assassin build but you just won me over with the staff!
There is no single best build in Odyssey. That's the beauty of it. My personal Archilles build is better than demi-god build provided by the game in the usual combats. I'm at level 94 now. You need to have at least 3 build load outs in order to combat effectively - Assassin, Hunter and Warrior builds. I switch back and forth in between combats. My assassin build destroys bounty hunters with 1 assassin + 1 hero strike. No matter how many they come, they all get butchered within 1 to 2 seconds. But the assassin build can't handle multiple enemies. That's why you need 3 build load outs. And it costs A LOT OF MONEY to maintain 'em. AC: Odyssey is genius, there aren't anymore bull $hit like previous AC games where I never face any challenge whatsoever during combats. There exists no single perfect build in this game that's why it's perfect game

*This game is awesome in many ways. The next generation of people will sadly not experience this masterpiece. The game is built up on so many ways it would take an ocean of explanation* ❤️ *I love the nature, the history, the friendship, the choices that connects the game with the personalities of the player. Just the whole Greek world full of mysteries* ❤️ *But after the main story, it kind of dies. There are 100s of quest to complete after the main story, but it does not count for anything, it doesnt get you further ahead in the story towards a goal of some sort. Once the main story is over, it’s done, nothing changes, but it’s an awesome game even if it lacks excitement after the main story. The DLCs are amazing tho*

There are 100s of quest to complete after the main story, but does it count for anything? Does it get you further ahead in the story towards a goal of some sort? No. Once the main story is over, it’s done, nothing changes. It’s D.E.A.D. Only cool things are Fate of Atlantis DLC and Legacy of The First Blade, because the missions there actually count for something 🤙
I am new to making 'builds' because I only started playing games like this when Witcher 3 came out, and even while playing that game, I just went for gear that looked good and was good. So, thanks for showing this build.

Pray to the RNG gods!
The most efficient way to farm epics is to go to Arkadia and find the area that has 2 blacksmith's next to each other. Save before talking to the blacksmith. If either blacksmith doesn't have what you're looking for, reload that save.
Also, if you quickly talk to a blacksmith and then exit and talk to him again, his inventory will restock(only works once every time you load a save).
So yeah, every 40 seconds or so(may be faster on a SSD) you will have 4 pools of epic gear to choose from. It takes me about 30min of saving/loading to get exactly what I'm looking for. Not an exciting method to farm, but it is the best.

I think spears are the best weapon because it gives you the range to hit target without getting touched, and allows you to hit multiple targets. This is good build, but you can go many ways ona build like pure assassin, or pure venom, fire , and etc.

hey man first of all i wanna say great build looks amazing but the main issue with this build is the random chance of finding the gear with those stats ive got athenian gauntlets but different stats on em not every one is gonna be able to copy this build
That's one thing I dont like about the game, the weapons and gear are way to rng based, they should've completely let you reroll the perks
You can change the look as far as the exact gauntlets, really all your looking for is the stats, he didn’t say it was accessible it’s just a cool ass build to aspire to
since your staph build i haven't been using anything else as a weapon, i got a nice crit build, assassinates anything with one shot, 4 shots mercenaries with bow, and bash the shit out of anything with the staff. it is kinda glass cannonny but it rocks

Didn't do the exact build, but followed your advice on using the highest assassin's boosts and crit boosts and ended up killing Medusa with 2 hits! First Hero's Strike knocked off 1/5 of her health and the second must have gone critical because it killed her. Used the pirate armor set.
I have modified to utilize a sword in place of the staff as I find that I am more effective with sword than staff. Also I have a build with the "Melee Attack Damage applies to Nearby Enemies" engraving that takes the crit damage to surrounding enemies so AOE of staff not a value that is needed
I have an actual mage build. I force push ppl around and rain fire on them...Odyssey was really the best of the games imo

i finished the whole main story and all the side missions + the dlc legacy of the first blade within 168 hours of gameplay. This game is so freaking huge i cant believe it. ITs way better than origins and the build set up is awesome! I'm now lvl 95 and going into Atlantis. Gonna do it with this build :D

I do have a build called the unbreakable build
Weapons: armor piercing spear of the unbreakable with +100 damage but have 25& health, judgement of the lion with 25- cool down for all abilities and Artemis’s bow with 1% health restored on headshot.
Helmet: Persian elite band with the engraving from the Dikastes set
Chest plate: chest plate of the fallen with 2% damage as health
Waist: isu commander’s waistband with 30% total armor
Greaves: Dikastes boots with all arrows pierce shields.

I never realized lesser armor and weapons would be more powerful than legendary items. I sold or broke down everything pretty much keeping only legendary gear and weapons. I'm at level 83. New to gaming so I just figured the gold gear was the best you could do.

5:35 engrave 10% damage at every killed enemy (max 50%) it makes you very op, or 250% damge but no abillites(only if you dont use many)

Liked and subscribed because I've been in love with the staff and now someone else shares my values.
I’ve managed to get this build as close as possible considering I wasn’t actively playing from January to late March to reach level 70 for those free 30 ability points for the mastery.
Refreshing blacksmiths for over 4 hours to get all the epic pieces with those stats weren’t as tedious as upgrading all of the engravings I needed for this build. Kept doing contracts over and over again to gain exp and drachmae.
Overall this build is really really fun

@@neogreengodify Right before talking to a blacksmith, save your game and then browse through what the blacksmith has for sale. If what you're looking for isn't there, reload your save.
This can save time by going to Arkadia in the city Tegea or Achaia in the city Patrai since there's 2 blacksmiths in these cities in close vicinities. If one of those blacksmiths doesn't have what you need, go to the other one and browse through what they have. If neither smiths have what you want, reload your save, rinse and repeat.
Once you do buy what you want, make sure to save that time lol. Just a note, if you haven't gone to a blacksmith in a while, they have a refresh of their own once to back out of talking to them the first time, and when you go right back in a moment later they'll have new stuff for you to like at. This happens one time, and after that the stuff they're selling won't refresh after awhile.
Try this bow build with with these perks: No entry found Sets, bow damage deal 100% damage while hidden, find any weapons with a hunter perk and engrave +100% damage but health cap to 25% find any sword with hunter damage, 40% bow damage and 10% crit chance, then engraved with +250% damage but cannot use any abilities. Next engrave +100% all damage type but minus resistance by 100% and a bow legendary with +50% head shot damage and engrave the no entry set with the pierce amor by 30%. U can basically one shot almost every boss in game, at lvl 50 a single regular arrow deal 6M damage and 7.9M crit at lvl 70 every shots over 10M and lvl 99 the game’s complete broken with a single shot of 20M damage to 27K crit

The staff is definetly my favourite weapon. Long enough to hit multiples enemies and light enough to maneuver quick. We need more legendary staffs 😭

Great guide, have been using parts of it for a couple of levels now and it's great, high damage and very tanky. I do wonder about the +poison dmg engravings though, poison feels like insignificant damage compared to the raw power of normal attacks on weakened targets. I'm only around lvl 60 though. I opted to go for other things instead, eg. I enchanted my staff with the -adrenaline cost perk, and picked a sword instead of the axe since I like that one more for single targets.
I use my Demi god armor as a hunter build but it’s also very stable with assassin and warrior as well. here lately I’ve been using abstergos armor because it’s 100% hunter damage which is awesome. I’m only lvl 65 but I need to lvl up my armor too.

Keep the good stats! I am level 56 with about the same build (60% change at crit on full health with heavy blunt weapon damage). When I crit I can take out a mercenary in two hits

I think "Demi-God" is only the name of the build, not the armor set. This build itself uses only epic armors, which i think we have to search by ourselves, either looting or buying from blacksmiths

The chest and waist are both in the same set from the helix store. The helmet is a mercenary helmet. And idk what the boots or gauntlets are

Could you make something like Ares set please I think it will be amazing(based on warrior damage) and I suggest for visual customization helmet:spartan war hero helmet,bracers:from the underworld pack,chest:Jason's golden fleece,belt of the underworld and the spartan war hero boots(if you want change something)
4:36 you should engrave +100% all damage but 25% hp its worth it if you can dodge every single attack. It makes everything an easy clap.

i still dont see why this build wouldn't work with fire damage instead. the armor penetration from poison is redundant with the engraving on your bow so unless you insist on using it for the damage debuff on enemies only, why not go for the cc and higher tics from fire.

2 of my fave bows in AC odyssey: the Fanged and Hades bows.
The Fanged turns all your Ordinary Arrows into poison arrows,
while Hades bow turns them into fire arrows.
I got them from killing higher level mercs, iirc.

Today I figured out that you can upgrade the regular engravings with a blacksmith that's in malis. Maybe you have mentioned it before but from the videos I've seen you go more onto the skill tree upgrade than the blacksmith

This was awesome but I think I'm just going to use my brain to create my own build with what I have instead of grinding through to find this gear all over again since I dismantled it earlier in game lol
I'm just watching a bunch of these build videos and realizing that I shouldn't be getting rid of purple armour while trying to make my own build

Problem is getting all these epic pieces with those stats. Any way to list where to get those cause pretty sure it's rng.
It is RNG but the game does have a "smart" loot system where if you are wearing similar gear with perks like the ones you want you will get more gear like that. So as long as you get close, as you play and get more gear eventually you'll get them. It didn't take me to long to get this gear.

You wanted to be able to Assassinate & do close combat?
So you wanted to play Assassin's Creed like... Assassin's Creed before Ubisoft Quebec completely mishandled classes.
I don't care what class you pick, Assassinating,Melee attacks & Basic ranged attacks are core parts of the game. The game isn't even setup to be played one way.. which is evident by the varying combat scenarios. The first time you build an Assassin and get tossed into a conquest battle isn't going to be a fun time.
Those basic aspects shouldn't have their damages locked behind classes. Everything above those core basic aspects(actual unique class abilities) being tied to a class is understandable.
