I really love this! I used to be a semi-professional musician on stringed instruments. Once I started playing flutes, I found that I cared more about playing for my health and the health of others. I think flutes made me less selfish.

Thanks Fred for your feedback! Glad you liked the video. I learned this method from Sogawa Sensei! He actually works on the floor, and I also do that at times😀

I think it was a nightmare for all of us this period of lock down, a real nightmare. I am so grateful to have my bamboo to canalise my breath, and produced so many jinashis in different sizes to create those healing vibrations, and it helped tremendously. Thank you for being there brother.

Amazing video. Thank you for posting this. If you don’t mind my asking, what is the oil you are applying at the end of the video? And do you have any other suggestions for polishing the root end?

Do you still have the first Shakuhachi that you made?

It was a bunch of government controlled B.S. But on a good note, some found new skills and inner reflection for healing.

Those times, though heavy, led many to unexpected paths of healing. For me, crafting shakuhachi became such a path, and I’m grateful it resonates with others🙏
