Spica NEVER had a bad song. They were one of my all-time favorite groups. Such a shame their company didn't continue promoting them. They were literally at their peak of their popularity until their company decided to give up on them. :(
Ugh so frustrating to be a Spica fan, before Mamamoo there was SPICA. The OG vocal queens and they sooo deserved fame but the community just wasnt ready for them and I am forever frustrated because they should have been BIG. When Mamamoo came in with the vocals and retro vibe I was soo happy to see them appreciated for the talent they possesed but I still wish SPICA had their moment in the sun.
You are correct. This was during a time when the kpop market was oversaturated with different GG's, and there were alot.
Spica just got lost in the shuffle.
I'm sure the world is realizing what it lost-- More and more people are loving Spica for what they were and also they are starting to support Keembo for what it is and what it represents 💜

@@LKTVLKTV Man...they had some iconic lives and stages and side projects though during the mass Korean coma they were active in. Worth digging into. Also Jiwon may have looked familiar depending on if you know about the show the Unit - she redebuted in the female group from that show but it got disbanded after a year.

They weren't nearly as popular as they deserved to be, and yes they were/are extremely close.

I believe, almost all of them know SPICA is listener old Kpop. I think 2nd generation is golden era for Kpop. Miss so bad those era.
love and miss Spica so much that it hurts!....when they were together, they were my second-favorite female kpop group (only behind Girls' Generation)....talk about power vocals....i love power vocals....it is a shame that Spica is still not together anymore....any of their members could be lead vocals in most any other female kpop group....'the bright read hair' is Kim BoA and she is my Spica bias....Spica will probably be my all-time second-favorite female kpop group....even with BoA and Bohyung forming KeemBo, which i really love, i still wish Spica (all 5 members) were still together....

You need to check out Keembo. They're a duo of 2 former Spica members.
I enjoyed watching this. It's always entertaining to watch the "discovery" voyage for Spica. They were, truly, something else. I'm sure, by now, you know the story (stories?), so I won't dig into that. I will say that if you liked "You Don't Love Me" (the song that stopped me in my tracks with Simply K-Pop on in the background and made me sit down to find out what group THAT was) then look for the KCON Abu Dhabl 2016 performance. It's a more "dynamic" arrangement of the song. As for Boa, what I like (and what I think you picked up on) is that she always leaves it all on the stage, the recording studio, whatever, she lets it all go (all out all the time). Bohyung is more subtle, but it's still the same attitude. I love how it's all come together with Keembo tho' - better late than never. The whole package tho' with the skills of all five...not much else to say.

You Don't Love Me was the first kpop album I ever bought and it was so hard to feel proud for Mamamoo's quick rise while remembering Spica's crash and burn even with Lee Hyori's backing. Such similar concepts and vocal talent just at the wrong timing. I really hope you'll try Keembo since it has the two power vocals of Spica.
