I've seen people recommending Spica so I was really hoping you would be doing a video soon! I would absolutely recommend checking out Men Came Down From The Sky Like Rain, it's a Korean version of It's Raining Men that they performed live on Immortal Songs or a similar show I don't remember. But you can really see the live vocals of every member in that performance. Spica were my favourite girl group but unfortunately they just never broke into the mainstream. They changed their style a lot and were from a small company so they didn't have comebacks very often. Two of the members are now active as a duo called Keembo.

While they were trainees, one of them was set to integrate T.ARA, other was going to be in 2NE1... but those projects never materialized. So in 2012, Spica members gathered under B2M Entertainment label. They were successful in 2012 and 2013, and debuted in USA in 2014, even singing in KCON 2014. However the sales were a flop, and the label did not promote them properly. Some mismanagement forced them to change label to CJ E&M, however their artist portfolio is huge and again after some singles in 2016, they were not promoting anymore and the group disbanded in 2017 because they felt their expectations were not fulfilled. It was the end on 2nd generation KPOP, and 3rd generation competition was fierce. Extremely good girl groups were appearing each day (Red Velvet, Mamamoo...) and 2 years off mean oblivion in this industry. Fortunately in April 2020, lead vocalists Kim Boa and Kim Bohyung formed the duo *KEEMBO* under an indie label, with a different music concept. It's a must see.

I love Spica! I will echo some others and encourage you to also check out Ghost, Russian Roulette, Painkiller (my personal favourite), You Don't Love Me and their English song I Did It. A request I have for an underrated SM artist who has been around a long while and has phenomenal vocal range is J-Min. I first heard of her from a drama OSt with her song Stand Up (featuring Jungmo from TRAX on guitar). She has other songs as well which are also quite good Shine, I'm Ready To Love and my personal favourite, Alive. I don't typically even like, never mind favour, ballads but Alive is just THAT song that gets you even before you read the lyrics and then after you know the lyrics it just cements things. You Don't love me a must reaction for SPICA, trust me. We all did SPICA so wrong. They were one of the best vocal groups to ever exist in Kpop. We all collectively slept on them and Korea did not appreciate them because they were way ahead of their time. Back then, strong vocal idol groups did not get much exposure unless they had an "attractive" concept. SPICA members were grown, they embraced their womanhood and sold "music". And we all let them down. Now, there is no use crying over spilled milk. It is very sad that they are recognized as "icons" or "legends" now but were a "nobody" when they were active.
