Stamina tip: if you deplete your entire stamina bar it takes longer to regen and if you try using an attack with not enough stamina it will make that attack do about half dmg

That's huge! I did notice my damage being inconsistent at certain points, that explains it. Thanks for the help🤝

MR CHALK! Didn't know you were doing DS2 now. Thats awesome.
Hoping I don't miss when you start playing DS3 (my favorite). What platform do you mention when you plan on streaming?

Hey man! I'm not streaming anymore, focusing on UA-cam videos only. So DS3 will be a playthrough series just like this one, off-stream.

It's funny how Ornstein and Smough is different for each person. Some get through them easily and others, like me to this day (even though I've played that game several times) have a huge difficulty. I always need to equip Havel's armor for that fight and I try to go with a +15 weapon to suffer as little as possible.
Answering your question about DS2. Yes, it takes place after the first game, although the connections with DS1 are less evident, as they will be in DS3, for example, which has connections with DS1 and DS2, and direct references to Demon's Souls.
The story of DS2 basically is that a long time after the first game, there was a king who obtained powerful souls and founded a kingdom that was doing very well. But just like in the first game, problems began to happen. In the end, it turns out that these problems were caused by a person who has a fragment of the soul of one of the bosses from DS1. Now it's your turn to obtain these souls and become the savior of the world. The big difference between DS1 and DS2 is that the first game has two different endings, depending on your choice of what to do after defeating Gwin, where you become either the Lord of Cinder (if you light the flame) or a Dark Lord. In DS2, there is another ending that was added with the DLCs.
In DS3, humanity finally understood how the cycles of light and darkness happen and so each time the curse of the undead begins, the undead from all over are called to try to solve the problem. And only an undead with a truly powerful soul can rekindle the flame. An undead without a soul powerful enough to light the flame simply burns to ashes, and your character is one of those unkindled, who is reborn after the call. In this game, it is a great honor to become a Lord of Cinder and everyone knows who the people are who possess the souls of the Lords. The problem is that several of these powerful people, which even include former Lords of Cinder who are resurrected to be able to light the flame, shirk the obligation to relight the flame, and it becomes your mission to hunt them down.

O&S are very tough man, probably second hardest in DS1 after Manus and Artorias. But definitely one of the coolest, the soundtrack alone is just epic af.
Gotcha. Interesting stuff! I'll probably be watching lore after I finish DS3, I've heard that some of the videos have spoilers for that game so I'm avoiding it for now.

@@MrChalkYT In my personal opinion, I find Artorias and Manus to be very easy. With Atorias, you just need to understand that the safest way to fight him is to keep the camera locked on him and always attack after he performs an attack, when he finishes a sequence of attacks, or when he is buffing himself. And you always only hit him once or at most 2 or 3, if you are a Dex user and can attack very quickly without using all your stamina. Repeat this, dodge all his attacks and the fight is very easy. With Manus, he has 2 problems: the first is that if you get too close to him, he starts that crazy sequence of spinning attacks that is almost impossible to deal with. So keeping your distance and waiting for the attack he does with that longer arm, which stays extended for some time, helps you land attacks on him. The second problem comes with his second phase, where he starts using magic. But this is completely avoidable with the Silver Pendant that you find in Oolacile Town, where there is that message from the devs "Let there be light". You equip the Silver Pendant to your items (where the Estus is) and use the item to reflect his spells. I have more difficulty against Black Dragon Kalameet, he has a variety of attacks, and trying to cut off his tail to get the weapon he drops is very annoying.

Oh for sure! Looking back on it, Artorias is pretty straight forward yeah, and Kalameet is a pain. But hard disagree on Manus, that guy is a psychopath lmao. I'll have to judge that myself once I return to DS1. I'm sure replaying bosses makes them all much easier than what they were at your first attempt
