      what do you believe his limiting factors are from being A class? Injury? overhead stability?

    • @prep0763
      @prep0763 7 років тому +1

      +Francis Bui his over head is lacking. Plus he pulls in a little early with slows his bar speed down and kicks the bar out in front a little. Hard to correct also his arms are longer than Tiaos so that's probably a compensation on his part. Also there's the drug factor. Tiao and China are masters of taking drugs and not getting caught. The Japanese and Germans for example don't dope their athletes nearly to the same extent because their Olympic federations have much stricter bylaws.

      If you compare his result to his strength levels his technique isn't that good. It is not just how it looks it's also how efficient it is.

    • @prep0763
      @prep0763 7 років тому +1

      kurmoxor exactly he's got some efficiency issues. He's still very young and looks like he's making strides in the right direction

    My only criticism of Toshiki is his empty bar drop height, it’s way to low. Maybe he needs to do a training camp with the Chinese team.

      Understanding weightlifting by doing it yourself just makes you more appreciative of their strength and technique.

      I attempted a 90kg snatch yesterday 12 times and missed every time. it saddening :( but i'v only been training the Olympic lifts for like 6 weeks.

      lower your weight and work on technique - much too early to be worrying about hitting high numbers

    im a stupid beginner, please explain why he doesnt complete the first rep on his snatch'doubles

    • @kektral
      @kektral 7 років тому +4

      Having locked it overhead they already know they've got the lift, so they just drop the bar to get on to the next rep. Guess it saves some energy not standing up.

  • @mikeyew6055
    @mikeyew6055 7 років тому +2

    I noticed that he bends his elbow to get the bar into the hip pocket. Does he do this intentionally because he has long arms? Is this a hip clean? I heard its not good to bend your arms?

    • @dariomorenov

    Why hasn't he a performance as good as tian tao for instance? I mean. Same category, almost same max back squat, and I don't know the personal best of each one in every other exercises, but almost the same squat indicates that toshiki is fucking strong, so I guess that's not because of a lack of strength.

    • @slashnagy6
      @slashnagy6 7 років тому +6

      Random Mardon His technique is probably lacking in some aspect.

    • @AfferbeckBeats
      @AfferbeckBeats 7 років тому +6

      He has had some pretty big injuries, like some kind of fracture in his leg, and I think a shoulder thing that makes his jerks helicopter.

    • @Ultras14100
      @Ultras14100 7 років тому +2

      this is when technique joins the party, as you said, tian and toshiki have the same numbers talking about squating ,even toshiki has a heavier front squat if im not wrong, but tian's technique is so good, his clean is probably the strongest in the 85 kg category, and his jerk is just a little weaker than his clean, he struggle a lot in international stage cuz hes nervous, his trainer said that once, and hes implacable in his home china, now, toshiki has an amazing clean,but a really bad jerk, talking in terms of relative strength, he proably can clean +210,but he can barely jerks 200-205

    He opens his knees out so wide during the snatch while I've been pointing them dead forward, is this something that should be switched?

    • @johnp6295
      @johnp6295 7 років тому +6

      Andrew I think it's all about preference and bodystructure. Just like some people squat very wide, while others almost point their knees straight forward. Try to find the position where your legs can deliver as much force as possible, and this varies from person to person, and you'll be fine.

    • @dariomorenov
      @dariomorenov 6 років тому +2

      Its all about biomechanics. his knees need to be that wide to stay confortable
