Windy Day Wade Fishing - Upper Enterprise Reservoir (May 7th, 2024)

I'm just a normal guy that likes fishing, flying & fun. Love the Sasquatch lore, too!
It's some more fishing footage from this last Tuesday at Enterprise Reservoir in Southern Utah. This morning, I caught about a dozen average smallmouth bass, a few green sunfish, and one decent rainbow trout. The wind eventually blew me off the lake.

What setup you recommend for good trout fishing? New to
Fishing so thanks in advance!!

Sorry for the delay in responding. If you're boat fishing or trying to make long casts from shore with lures, I recommend a medium action rod and reel, 6lb test, and a swivel to help prevent line twist when they spin. If you are fishing smaller ponds and creeks, I prefer a light (or ultralight) rod and reel combo with 4lb test - a light, strong braid for backing with a fluorocarbon leader. I like to use snap swivels to prevent line twist, unless the water is super clear and the fish are finicky!
Favorite trout lures: in-line spinners (rooster tails of various sizes and colors) and Berkley Atomic Tubes/Teasers. I also soak all my lures in Berkley trout attractant, because it's seasoned with the same proteins they use in the pellet food at the hatcheries. If I'm trolling, I like size 5 Berkley Flicker Shads in various shiny colors. Tight lines!
