  • Pine Park Campground is a small, free campground located in SW Utah in the Dixie National Forest at an elevation of 5,359 ft.
There are no toilets or trash services, so bring everything you need and take your trash out with you. The sites are situated next to what's called White Hollow, where distinct white cones of volcanic ash tower over the old growth ponderosa pines. This is an excellent area to camp and explore in solitude with nature.

    I enjoyed this video.
Here's an update, April 2024. The road is kind of washed out right at the entry to the camping area, where the creek crosses. I have high clearance (9") but could not navigate it without 4WD because of the slope and high steps. Similarly, I think a person would need 4WD and high clearance to get to any of the areas beyond that first large circle.
Definitely don't try to go here if it has rained recently. Some stretches of the road in have a mud/clay base. No problem when it's dry.

Thanks for the (unfortunate) update! They must’ve had heavy rains since filming this video. Such a cool place!

I've been wanting to go here for a while. Lots of unexplored areas.

Hello Dan! So nice to meet a fellow UA-camr and camper! Love how you show a 360 view from the campsites and how it is located in relation to the other sites and stuff. We hope to be in NM by this winter to do a lot of exploring! Looking forward to seeing more campgrounds and more camping videos! 💙Terry and Terri

Hello & thanks Terry and Terri!!
Yeah, if I’m going to camp at a campground, I definitely like some privacy and most of the videos out there are just driving thru or photos and while those videos are helpful, they don’t show how much privacy the sites have or don’t have.
Anyway, there is a lot to explore here (we have a little bit of everything) and let me know if you have any questions on where to go/where to eat…
Take care and thanks for watching!

this is a random question but do you know what the elevation is up there?

I would say around 6,000 ft. The town of Enterprise is 5,318 ft and it’s not noticeably higher than town. Hope that helps!

I just looked thru old photos and I took a screen shot at the campground saying the elevation is 5,359 ft

Wow, great looking place to get away from it all. What months would you recommend visiting this place? I don't think I'd want to be there during turkey hunting season, LOL! Also, is Enterprise the closest town with gas, supplies, etc? Thanks for showing these places 😀

Your welcome and thanks for watching! This place is so cool (IMO)!
I think late May, early June then early fall would be the best times because I’m sure it gets pretty hot there in the summer. Both times I was there (late April, early May) it was pretty cold at night, like in the 30’s, then would warm up during the day.
And yes, Enterprise is your nearest town. I stayed for 7 nights and between the gas station & town market, was able to resupply on everything. There is a stream running through camp from a nearby spring, but I would boil it if using to drink as there were signs of cattle in the area. I used the water to shower twice 😜

@@highdesertcampertours Awesome! Thank you! I'm a big chicken when it comes to drinking water from rivers and streams. I haul in my own. 😀 I've only ever camped in Fishlake National Forest in August there in Utah, so it's great to see these other possibilites. 👍🏼

I’ll have a couple more videos from the other side of Utah coming soon! 😉
