When I saw this for the first time, I was literally thinking how they going to prevent Arya to say names of Joffrey and Tywin. And it was done very well
'Arya lifted her gaze from the dead man and his dead dog. Jaqen H’ghar was leaning up against the side of the Wailing Tower. When he saw her looking, he lifted a hand to his face and laid two fingers casually against his cheek.' THE BOOK >>>>>>

@@layelaye And the price for uptight a-hole of the comment section goes to......she's eyeing HIM not the other way around. You do realise how many 8-12 year old girls have popstars/moviestars posters on their walls right?
I'd have to pick Ramsey Snow at least once. Of course the Fandom says Jeoffrey, Cersei, Tywin. I think she would need to kill Jeoffrey because he is king and has great power and he has a deep hatred of Starks for standing up to him. But, except for that, I think killing Tywin would end the Lanisters because except for Kevan, Tywin seems to be the Lanister leader that has a few brain cells. Of course, Tyrion is pretty smart, but Cersei would deign to give him any power or status, so he would be effectively "out of play". So in my view, Tywin and Jeoffrey and one other name. And ... Walder Frey looks pretty good for that spot.
Erm...let's just say The Tickler's death is FAR more satisfying in the books. Arya herself stabs him to death, screaming all the questions The Tickler asks of the people he tortures.
I've read how they make up for it the Inn scene in the show, and it's just as good. If you want to know SPOILERS as Arya kills Polliver she repeats what he said when he took her sword
John Markson LOL, I love that in the books little Arya is far more intelligent and deadly than she is in the show. For instance, by the time Arya kills her first man in the show, in the books she's already got a body count of at least 5 (some killed in cahoots with Jaqen H'gar).
Wait what? Lol, I thought it was just a dialectical difference. Or is it possible she thought he was saying sideface when he said sideways? I don't think she was purposely imitating him
@@DaveDexterMusic Regardless if it's his accent or dialect, she's imitating him and it's cute because Gendry has no clue what she means so she resigns to say "sideways".
Jaqen still is cool, he's not at fault that the producers decided to stretch that arc to infinity. It would have been cool if it would have lasted half of what it did.
Am I the only one that thinks season 5 just wasn't on par with the rest of the seasons? It just didn't feel as satisfying in every way. That episode 8 though ...
They already made her killing of the stable boy appear accidental, and now she has been robbed of one of her central kills. HBO is watering her character down; while she is by no means a ruthless killer, Arya has no qualms about dispatching those she hates. Hell, she even murders a Night's Watchman in Bravos just for going AWOL. We can't observe thoughts an inner monologues on screen, which makes plot accuracy so much more important. That being said, I LOVE the dynamic b/w Tywin and Arya.
it makes this scene hillarious :P In his final moments Gordon...i mean the Tickler were complaining about a raw dish and was lecturing the chef on how to properly heat a swan pie when Jaqen got him
this was one of the most ridiculous scenes in GoT, when you get three wishes and you requested tin, lead and copper instead of gold silver and bronze....
+Fluffybrute Literally, what I meant was instead of these small people Arya requested Jaquen to kill, she could have asked him for Tywin Lannister, Walder Frey and Roose Bolton....that it would have been better, if these scenes were not showm at all..
If she had only said Tywin Lannister, Cersei Lannister and Joffrey Baratheon... what she did is like having a three wishes genie/shenlong and ask for two cokes and some chips...
Though there has always been a hint of undertoned romance, even Maisie Williams said something along those lines, but I was just observing the two different possibilities
Emiliano Alvarez Martinez I saw in an interview where they asked Massie Williams who was the most handsome guy on the show and she said the guy that played Gendry and then she legit started gushing saying that she never told him or anyone that.
The thing thats different is that arya wants to be able to kill like Jaqen but doesn't want to do it in secret she wants her enemies to know she killed them
Since tags were removed, most people who post these types of videos put stuff in the description box in place of tags; they serve the same purpose. "gendry shirtless" was one of them.
The Tickler's death in the books is more satisfying. Arya and the Hound meet the tickler and Polliver (the man who stabbed the boy with Needle before taking Arya to Harrenhal) drinking at an inn, and they fight each other. Arya repeatedly stabs the Tickler while quoting his own "tickling questions". "WHERE IS LORD BERIC!!" stab, stab. it was awesome
The stable boy seemed like self-defense. The kid was grabbing Arya and threatening to take her to the guards, and she had already told him to back off. Also, it was a quick and clean ( presumed ) kill. But I hope they change their minds, Arya as an Assassin ( 's Creed, lol ) is very cool ;D
Normally I can understand the changes and cuts that the show makes, but I'm still baffled as to why they killed the Tickler so early, robbing viewers of one of, if not the most badass scene in the books.
the important part was how Arya flipped around the interrogation the Tickler used back on him, and it was a much needed cathartic scene after a few events that happened prior that i will not spoil here. that Arya can kill so easily when it's necessary only strengthens her character, and her ability to cope and survive. i'll admit it's a hard moment to portray in the show and the Tickler is technically minor; just that in the book it was such a pivotal scene. hope they manage in other ways.
The Tickler was murdered by Arya in the book. Extremely brutally in fact. Stabbed until he was a gooey mess and The Hound actually drug her off of him. Book Arya is not some sassy, cute, tomboy. She's a tragic psychopath.
the show changed around the people jaqen killed for arya. in the books it's chyswick and weese, in the show the tickler and armory lorch. i imagine they'll think of other people for arya to kill.
Is there gold hidden in the village? Is there silver? Gems? Is there food? Where is Lord Beric? Where did he go? How many men were with him? How many knights? How many bowman? How many, how many, how many, how many, how many? Is there any gold in the village?
Yeah, I just explained. Syrio says side-ways, but it sounds like side-face, or perhaps it's just his way of saying it. But she tries to mimic it literally and it comes off as confusing to Gendry.
+Keith Kyrell It's been a while since I've read the book but I thought that Ayra could have easily chosen Tywin as her target but didn't think about it until it was too late?
In Aladdin you get three wishes, in Game of Thrones you get three deaths.
