    Thanks for the informative video!
I'm definitely going to do more research on all MIS careers and see which one I'm passionate about and can allow me to work from home.

Congrats on 10k subs! I thought this video had a great message and it speaks on a lot of notes I am currently dealing with. The key takeaway for me here is commitment. I need to commit my time into one specific area and plan to do that with software sales. I want to know your thoughts on MIS major going into tech sales, and any key things to look for when exploring that as an option. I have had a helpdesk internship which has provided me with the customer service side of talking with end users and I'm not as good in terms of the technical side, mainly due to lack of experience prior to the internship.

@grumblysum you captured the essence of the message clearly. I think it would be fantastic for a MIS major to go into tech sales. As far as key things to look for when exploring sales roles are the roles and responsibilities and skills for a BDR/SDR (Business Development Rep/Sales Development Rep) and that of an account executive. Check out what skills are needed and try to sharpen those skills. Look on linkedin for these roles and check out what companies are looking for and continue to work on these skillsets.

Appreciate the helpful and informative video! Question though, if work/life balance was among a top priority for someone, from your experience are there roles encompassed within the MIS skillset that have a tendency toward that?

Hi Jay, careers that offer this are that of a developer, data scientist, web developer, management analyst etc... they all provide a good amount of flexibility in the jobs.

Good day, Black Height. I am Nyadro Julius Yao, a Ghanaian. I came across your channel recently when I was researching the course to major in College. I studied Business in High school and am now in my first year of college. I am confused about majoring in Business Administration or MIS. All my time in High school was about studying business, and I don't have any IT background. So taking MIS as a major, I don't know what it will look like since it involves coding. But way back in high school, I wanted to become an accountant, but I don't have that passion again, and I think I am lost and don't know what to do at this point in my life. Since you've passed this stage of your life, I wanted to write this mail to seek advice from you, so I make the right decision. I hope this mail will be considered. I am hoping to hear from you soon. Thank you.

What's a good major to go into if I'm not good at math? I'm pursuing a business degree, but I'm not sure what. What are majors that actually offer jobs straight out of college?

    • @ElevateToTheUnknown

You want to go into a STEM type of a degree program if you want higher employment possibilities after college and if you want to make an above average salary.
If you choose business that's great. Finance, accounting, supply chain, mis, international business are all great business majors.

I’m thinking about switching to this major from Mechanical Engineering (which I had just started) for a couple reasons.
I did want to know, would you recommend getting an MBA with this? Or would a bachelor’s degree suffice in terms of being able to land a 6 figure or close to 6 figure salary job or is it recommended to get the MBA?
