I agree - it looks small but it is the new Oscar and has character - had some play but will be check more when it arrives
It’s a monster! I’ve already written ten patches in a day! The interface is beautiful! It’s really rich or dirty nasal with lots of crunch and harmonics ! A real classic filled with possibilities! And its keys feel great too! No drivers cause it’s class compliance eliminates the need for them and it detects and syncs to external clock automatically! What’s not to like ? Really well built too! I’m keeping this for sure! Chris was a great synth god! 👽✌️
Does it feel solid? Like knobs aren’t wobbly, thing not feeling cheap etc
Indeed it’s built like a tank ! Knobs are not flimsy in any way! They are extremely granular too! Making intervals easy to dial in ! This thing has tons and tons of sweet spots too! Also the new firmware update 1.11 adds the ability to detect and sync to external clock very very accurately over midi and usb c automatically! As well as many other features perfectly set up and ready to rock! My user bank is almost finished and I am very proud of what I’ve been able to achieve with this diamond of a modern day “classic “ synth !👽✌️😉

I was excited, when at first I thought it was a four voice malevolent, but sadly it's not that. And as much as I wanted to like it, it just doesn't sound that good to me.
maybe the other way around - but - Mantis sounds very OSCar'ish - and very special and interesting and can do the bottom end as well - it's just different - the demo 1 year ago didn't sound good, but it wasn't even a prototype then. just m2c - when I toyed around with it it instantly had a lot of power - british prodigy kind of power.
The user bank I’m finishing up I think will show off what it can really do .👽✌️
