Actually just downloaded the database. I live in malta and my mate plays for one of the amateur teams, its brilliant that hes now in the game, even if his stats are terrible haha

3:25 You can do this in that window as well (see the field that says "Add Condition"), I commented on that in the Scouting Guide video :).
That window doesn't have a box for for the contract status other than the bottom left which only allows one type, hence why we've done it like this :)
@@Secondyellowcard I see what you mean, very strange. I don't have FM24 yet, but I do know that I used to be able to do this in the popup window in older FMs.
It's really odd, i think because they seem to have forced it to a separate box on the bottom left, but by doing that it removes the ability to add modifiers to it. Thankfully there are work arounds but it's really odd
I've been considering playing as a big club in a small league because this is the sort of thing I enjoy in the game. I get promoted and then suddenly I have to spend silly money and I can't find players and I stop having fun. Maybe Malta or Lithuania or something like that would be best.

How do I get the Filter to work? I’ve downloaded it but can’t seem to find it when in Fm.
I can see that a lot of your picking lacks Acceleration and Pace (and they are performing well). I'm still on FM23, but on my recent save, I'm focusing on getting players that are fast above all the other metrics and so far it's going well. Is FM24 less pace-dependent or do those Physical attributes raise more over a player's career compared with previous FMs?
It's not a deliberate choice, i always favour faster players, but in Malta we can't really afford to be picky in the early stages of a save so good overall will always win out even if they are slower
@@Secondyellowcard Makes sense. Currently, I'm on Portuguese 3rd tier (started on the 4th) and by finding rapid players I've been able to build a super dominant team without being the on the top 3 wage spenders of the league. That's why I was curious about your pickings and how well they are playing for you. Good luck for the ongoing season.

I’m managing in Albania and I’ve made the europa league league phase 2 of the last 3 years, and made the conference league knockouts, but my player values are nothing. Like my most valuable player is 550k-1.2mil. Is it just a case of waiting it out or is there anything I can do about it

Won the trophy and league in the first season :) question please, the professionalism you mentioned in a past video, there is an option in the club finance page to request the board to change professional status. is it the same thing? thanks

I've managed to reach about 6 seasons in or so but transfer values just fell through the floor overnight. Players I was fighting off 30m bids for have now dropped to a few hundred thousand. Really frustrating and I can't seem to find any solutions online.

I have been playing the version of this DB prior to the "small patch" and around 2029 the player values absolutely plummet and it kind of breaks the game. I have Malta up to 17th in the coefficient standings so not sure why the drop, but it has lasted into 2031 where I currently am, and counting...any thoughts?
Sadly an FM issue and not related to the database, it's a very common problem when managing in any league outside of the main ones. We had the same problem last year in Hungary. I've heard that it does start climbing back up again in the coming seasons but i agree, it's extremely annoying :(

Are you ever looking for personality and/or determination/work rate when scouting/transferring or do you just decide on basis of ability and potential?
In an ideal world, absolutely i am, normally what i'm really looking for is players with high professionalism, which can be indicated through the personality, but also from certain media handling styles. However as a Maltese club, it's a little too early to be worrying about that for me. Once we are challenging properly in Europe then i start to use it as much more of a factor
