Hello folks, in the video i mentioned blurring games played in the UCL for certain players to hide spoilers. When it came to editing i thought a cleaner way would be to camouflage it with a box of the same colour. Which is what i ended up doing instead, just wanted to inform here so there was no confusion when i talk about blurring stuff :)
In my Bath City save Hamrun and Sirens both made the Champions League and Europa League Phases respectively during the 2029-30 season. Both got smashed but that isn't the most mental thing that happened that year. The San Marino Academy, an U22 Side playing in the San Marino top flight not only won the league (I have San Marino and Malta loaded cos fun) but actually managed to get to the Champions League League phase, and almost made the playoffs, as they beat Hamrun, ,Maribor AND drew with PSG. They came 25th on goal differance. Best I've ever seen a San Marino side do and they are literally the Academy U22 side. Sirens lost every game they played by 6 goals or more in the Europa League 🤣🤣. No idea how they even made it they are awful.
That's insane! I've never seen a San Marinese club get anywhere near a group stage without human control, let alone an academy, they must have had the mother of all golden generations!
We've actually had 3 players get that description this year, the way we've hung onto them is really long contracts with an extension clauses. Then a very specific order in which i upset players to keep them happier about not getting big moves. I'll explain the system in the next one of these videos because it could probably come in handy for people!
Good point i think a proper roundup of him would be ideal for the next video. I forget about him as he's on loan at Gudja currently but doing nicely for them! Actually scored a crucial goal for them on stream today :)
It's currently 2036 in my Faroese build a nation and I have reached my first UCL final (lost it to Man City though). The league is ranked 14th but the other teams struggle a lot, this season two teams qualified for the Conference League but that's the exception, they usually get knocked out in the qualifiers. I just can't seem to loan them any players, as much as I try...
I find that a "back 5" tactic (3 CB, 2 WB) needs a DM on a defensive role (I prefer anchors) to clean up the centre ahead of the back line. Then you want a PM at CM and to make the most out of your new star striker get two wingers and a CF/AF for a front 3.
For my Denmark BAN I cant do P/ex as you describe it, but I found if I find a guy i want to buy thats transfer listed at his club already if you pay their asking price and attach a few loans as P/ex onto that deal they'll accept it basically every time. Done it several times w my Danish club and its worked well for us, might help some ppl w P/ex in higher leagues
Woohoo! Nantes won a trophy! And we were the only team to score past Hamrun in the League Phase. I'll take that, especially considering our current woes...
For the Colombia team reports dude, you could just prioritise all his reports first so you can get rid of him quicker that way. That's what I do when it says someone is retiring who is doing a lot of team reports.
unrelated to the video (its really good and i enjoy these nation rebuilds, recently watched all videos of the hungary rebuild) but i found an insane wonderkid and wanted to share i just recently got into FM so idk how common this is but it was a 17 year old that had 4 stars current ability right from the start (i know that stars dont mean everything) but the twist is that, its a safe with benfica and i already won 4 CL titles so getting a 17 year old that could immediately play in the starting eleven for a CL winning team is kinda nuts i got him for like 4 million which is ridiculously cheap for a player like that
Perez is a CL winning striker. Even with no potential he's so quick. On the rep and team adjustments one thing I've noticed was teams in group stage games even tending to rest players and rotate to a degree all the way up to your team being 3.5 star but once you get to knock outs they seem to treat youre team properly. Fianlly won the CL in Irish build a nation in my save in 2031. Though I fucked St Pats getting to the quarters of the Conf League as I loaned one of my players to Red Star because no Irish club was good enough to take him and he knocked them out Tactically I think a good system could be using both tactics and switching while holding leads e.g. in the Chelsea away game switching to the DM system with time to go provided one of the CMs can play DM and the AM can play CM or subbing to do this at say 2 goal leads
I think he can definitely be that, the added pace is so crucial to him actually getting the chances to use his technical ability! We've kept the other tactic in rotated for that purpose so we can switch to it should we really need to defend a lead, especially it knockout games!
@@DARKKNIGHT-mr1qi So I use a slightly different system to the one laid out on the video pictogram but that's largely because at the start there seemed to be an issue with the development list where clubs only offered to take players on fringe player status and with dev list you couldn't negotiate that. I don't know if this has subsequently been patched. Iinitially you want to just get people out that improve a club. Clubs won't sign players that have the highest current ability but will take 2nd best players though more commonly slightly worse. Main strategy is just offer out to clubs in nation (Offer via transfer room>Loan Offer> Targets> Your Nation)and then if you get someone interested offer to that team specifically. After a while its more specific clubs will need specific positions.
@@budapestgambit8946 im building a nation with fjolnir (2nd iceland division), six seasons in i managed to get in champions league playoff (iceland was 34th, now 29th) but other clubs in my league suck like they get knocked out in 2nd rounds of conference league and i need help with that so do u have discord or smth if u could fix my problem..
I got "nation" build project, on Gibraltar. I took College ´75 and few first year 2-4 league position, Won every Domestic Cup. Few qualifying rounds on EU cups, build club to be top dog on league, lost 0 time on 2,5 season on league. Bank balance was nice 30mil, resigned and took another Gibraltar team Lynx. Now got team that can challenge my old team and got league phase EU cups. Got kinda good bank balance littlebit under 10mil. Thinking taking control another team and start building that. What you think this kinda approaching on building nation.
I have to say ive got to season 4 myself with a bit of a twist, I only sign free transfers and not allowed to scout properly, somehow in season 3 I got Europa Conference last 16, also ive somehow hit a legit wonderkid stolen right under Atletico and Barcas noses
They truly are, they have Sassuolo boss Alessio Dionisi in charge and over the last 6 years he's run them into the ground. At point we were both in for the same player and it actually said on their contract screen they were more interested in us than Bayern
I miss the format you used on Nordic Nomads Matt :/ I don't have time to watch the streams and the videos now are mostly analytical and show little to no matches. You're the best storyteller in the FM UA-cam community. Cheers.
I miss doing them too, but sadly there just wasn't enough interest in that form of content for me to be able to keep making them and make the channel sustainable :(

I’m sorry, does that say Palacio is World Class??!?!?!?!? How have you held onto him?!?!

Yes please!
Missed the live streams last week (holliday) All back up to speed now. Thank you once again!
How is Matthew Said’s career going? With him arguably being the best Maltese prospect of the save so far

Ik you've talked about this in the past but I really miss the rebuilding youtube videos from a couple of years back. Wish they'd come back soon!
I really enjoyed making them, but there was simply no longer an audience for them on this channel :(
incredible content as always (been a silent watcher for the past years now) but had to leave a comment for the Fit For a King shirt

I had a young right back from Kiribati on trial for two years before he joined on his 18th, he turned out to have 20 tackling !
That is the absolute dream!

Enjoy the vids. How did you set up your recruitment focuses?
Any chance of a San Marino build a nation next year ???

That's actually a really cool idea for a save!
i didnt watch this in a while but SPARTA HAMRUN LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
next build a nation save with san marino? 👀👀
9:41 What's the spelling of the channel name? Can't quite figure out the channel based on what you're saying, thank you
It's ironowl mate

Sorry about that i really should have just linked it in the description, but this is Jame's channel www.youtube.com/@ironowlfm
No youth intake this season?
Wait bayern munich in 3rd rounds of qualifiers how
Matt this is well-meaning and meant with the utmost love and respect, but you’re getting the stress on Pérez wrong
Noted!
Tbh I never look at full season stats to see how far you got in europe. Mainly because it spoils the rest of the video.
Well now we get the best of both worlds!
Petition to rename Perez to Checo Perez for the memes
Bayern Munich are the ultimate bottlers in this save lmao
