Not to defend Sargon, because I don't think he would be internally consistent on this, but there is definitely a reasonable argument to made that there is a distinction between the contiguity of the legal status of treaties and agreements between a country and other states (i.e Russia inheriting the treaties signed by the Soviets) and that of the ideological contiguity of a country (i.e recognizing that the ideology of the Nazis is not necessarily indicative of why the Germans are now supporting fighting the Russians). I think if you were to ask Sargon about this, he would say that it is his position, however given his seeming advocacy of national essentialism, I doubt he genuinely would hold to that distinction.

I get that these are apparently his friends, but how are they not understanding that Sargon is very obviously saying that Russia (China too, really, as they also get mentioned as being unable to handle a better government) is a _savage eastern_ country, only capable of understanding brutality and autocracy, UNLIKE _intellectual western_ countries, which are _obviously_ capable of handling more individual freedoms and choices...
He means this is a _fundamental_ feature of these cultures, or races, or however he's arbitrarily classifying it through his racist, xenophobic ideologies; that they are just less intelligent and less capable than western societies.
I mean, I don't think he tries very hard to hide his WN views..? I know he was like sleeping with the BNP for a while.
Because, to him, Russians aren't white. And neither are the people of Eastern Europe, which is why he shows no sympathy for Ukraine (this is also often a reason that far-right people seem to get fixated on the thing about how _d i s a s t e r o u s_ it was that Ukraine was allowed to _consider_ applying to join NATO after meeting... _their threshold for application..._ but then can't explain the actual problem with it coherently). I'm sure he also doesn't consider most of Central Europe to be either.
